At first I thought I was enjoying this book, but then the storyline was just too uneven. In the end, it felt like a bunch of individual scenes cobbled together with a loose plot. If feels like the writer wasn’t sure if she wanted to write a steamy, character-driven romance or an erotic, mystery laden romance. Unfortunately, she accomplished neither.
Plot developments that should have caused the characters emotional stress, were brushed off, glossed over. Emotional baggage from their childhood was mentioned but only in passing. Finally, the big secret - Inferno - was never clarified. The book just fizzled.
The book had no climax. The few issues that came up were resolved in 10 seconds making this an extremely boring read. This author needs to work on her story building
This was a cute one wish more was there. Such as the boyfriend what happened. What happened when he found out they were married. What happen when her friend was acting weird. Like so many quotations.
If you are triggered in any way by women being physically assaulted or the dynamic of a woman being the human salve for an unhinged violent man -- skip this.
More thoughts behind the spoiler cut, but goodness. Somehow so boring and flat while being offensive and strange. Really a feat.
I loved this book, their first meeting was him protecting her and then meeting by chance. I loved how the two of them made a pact to get married, no love, just an agreement to claim to be married. Loved Nana, how spunky she was, wanted them to go home and start on a grandbaby. And then when the two of them went to visit her parents, couldn't stop laughing, they heard everything. Yeehaw... too funny and then he mom teased about him liking cheerleaders and they should take the uniform home with them. And when they went to the club, he stood by his wife and she proved she loved him. Was willing to do anything for him, luckily she didn't have to. And then getting a honeymoon baby was the best, couldn't figure out why Nana and her parents weren't told about the baby. I thought that they would have been told after they found out, because that's all Nana talked about. But I still loved it.
This was my first book with the author but I enjoyed it. There were a ton on tiny plots and suspenseful subjects throughout this read. The pace was nice too. The portion about club inferno left me pretty disappointed. I think an opportunity for real fire and suspense was missed here. The topic was hyped up so much in the beginning but then it fell flat was reached. I adored how in love Bruce was with Jennifer. This man worshipped her from day one. I did not really understand the connection with the title. It was not hot AF in anyway…it was actually sweet AF in my opinion. Overall this was a nice read and I see myself Continuing in the series.
Interesting book. It had potential but then as you read and then think okay I’m excited let’s see what happens, nothing actually happens. There is this club for men. The man character Bruce is all freaked out about his wife going to this club because the members will put her through this grueling test. And nothing major happens during the test. We don’t know why they even have this policy. He says he is out of the club as a member but yet we don’t know what happens with that. Just a lot of questions.

I know I’ll be re-reading this story, all my favorite I re-read. Wow to find a man like Bruce, would be real nice. I like that even though Bruce mother was unbelievable mean, Jennifer did not lower herself to act the same way. This story had me smiling so hard, I just really enjoyed it. It clicked all my boxes, sexy, hot, alpha, sister that could hold her own, all good.
This was a good read. The beginning was a little predictable, but the sex scenes were hot! And the chemistry was off the charts. However, the Inferno part did not make a lick of sense. I also wished the book had not been so color blind. The description of features was in depth with some but not others. If the author was going for race to be neutral, then the descriptions of the main characters should have been.
I was impressed with the way this story was written. It was refreshing to see two people on the same page from the beginning. I liked their approach of getting to know each other through out their marriage. Bruce and Jennifer are a wonderful couple. I was left hanging in a few areas, but the HEA made up for that.
I really enjoyed the plot of this book. Even though it is one of those marriage of convenience type books, the pacing was really good the characters were really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it.
This book gives off major feel good vibes! The characters are lovely, and the development of their journey is realistic and induces so many “Aww” moments I literally was saying it every half an hour. I can’t wait for Creed to get his though, that’ll teach him.
The Characters were very good. The storyline is very good and enjoyed the characters finding their way to true love. Also, the hero and herione were very believable and real.
I enjoyed this story and it's Characters. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because the test given to Jennifer wasn't difficult at all. The building of suspense had me hoping for a real challenge. Overall, good story.
The Hh, were likable and good together throughout the book 👍 Would have liked to learn more about the club inferno, and hope that in the next installment of this series, more is revealed about the club and it's members.
A lot of typos like one time the guys name was Geoff than George. Other than that it’s a great story I wanted to know what happened to Harris or more about nana how’s she
I really love how the writer never reference d color. Except hair and eyes. The characters were well developed, but some stories were left opened, like with Bruce's Club Inferno, what happened? All in all loved the book.
This book was all over the place especially the last few chapters. They felt very rushed and it seemed like the author was just getting her thoughts out. I should have DNF'd but I feel like once I get to 50% I should just finish.
This book is very good as for the storyline where they come together for one common reason and it turns into something wonderful without a lot of drama. Loved it..
Starting with book one has been great. Love reading this book is that it serves its downs but all in all it’s been a great read. Can’t wait to start the next one.
