Much like a Christmas cracker, this book is a mixed bag of decent finds and low quality bits.
I was a bit pleased with the descriptions about the signs, which were far from outstanding but were not incredibly vague either. Pretty solid characteristics are written down for each sign in a much more in-depth way than your average Elle magazine horoscope but definitely not detailed as you would wish a book about astrology would be.
With that in mind, my disappointment was entirely based on the advices for each sign. Surely a smidge of vagueness is needed when you are dealing with an entire sign, but when your advices are as open ended as 'letting your sad days overtake your life is bad' you end up really wondering how targeted those suggestions really are. Those advices could fit all signs, and they are not even great at being highly encompassing either - telling me to reach a far away place without as much as telling me which street to go is not very helpful. If I tell any old fellow willing to hear about my hardships they would give those open ended advices too, probably with more to salvage than this book.
Overall pretty meh, nice for a quick mindless read or if you have no standards for how vague an astrology book should be.

There are universal truths that Bhakti Seva tries to impart with us. If we will something to happen and truly believe it - it shall happen. That a happy, cheerful, hopeful person with good aspirations and intentions will attract positivity and all benefits. The opposite will repel.
Take all mistakes as a stepping stone to success.
He depicts cusps quite distinctly, which is interesting. I see subtle differences between horoscopes: some should be generous, others should not give money away. Some are told to be spiritual and read metaphysics, while others not so much.

Worth the read, it is quick. Read not only your own but your loved ones and friends and soon you should read all twelve.

This was a fun audiobook to listen to. It was interesting to hear about each sign. This book discusses each sign. How to lead a good life, what ailments are typical to the sign, facial characteristics, and many other details. It is an easy listen as it is intriguing to hear about the different signs.

Mine personally, I felt, matched me very closely to my personality and how I strive to live my life.

This was a great book! Glad I found it for free on Spotify!

This was a lovely read. It has almost nothing to do with astrology though, the way the writer attempted to give specific advice to each zodiac sign felt like an unnecessary hack to give advice. It could have just been marketed as a handbook of good life teachings that apply to all people, because that’s what it really was—which was nice to read, once I got over the disappointment caused by the title that made me expect a more in depth look into astrology.

I thought that this is about The Yavanajātaka (Sanskrit: yavana 'Greek' + jātaka 'nativity' = 'nativity according to the Greeks'), written by Sphujidhvaja, is an ancient text in Indian astrology....but it is not.

Therefore 1 star becouse this book was almost meaningless to me.

I dislike this book for the same reasons I dislike astrology. It is vague, general and pseudoscientific. This book exhibits what is worst about spirituality, its utter irrationality. That said I thought it was interesting how each star sign said something that related to me, and in that way I thought it was morally instructive. All the same, you don't need pseudoscience for that kind of introspective education.

It is 100 years old edition, I had read many books on this subject (mostly in Tamil) and have little practice. I picked up this book as the author in the cover has mentioned "Yogic knowledge of stars and planets and how to control them to our advantage" and I was disappointed as the author had only written very few lines and further he stated that the subject is very much enormous and out of scope for this book!

An okay book. Lots of links to religion which was interesting but also a boring read. Didn't take anything major away.
