In a magical time where monsters, warlocks and wicked kings rule the lands, a quiet night in a small village life is shattered. A king's army riding in on horseback, snatch up all the male children, shackling them to a raggedy cart, they disappear back into the darkness where they came from, leaving villagers dead and their houses burning. A small group of villagers set out, in search of Asim, a warrior known to help the oppressed. Agreeing to help they all embark on an extraordinary journey crossing through thick forests, expansive rivers and great mountains, encountering dragons, monsters, goblins, dwarfs and witches, who continually put their lives in jeopardy. Recruiting an assortment of female warriors, dwarfs and robbers along the way to the kings castle. Where they have to fight an army and a warlock to rescue the children.
I was born in Welwyn Garden City, in Hertfordshire, England. My mother was English and my father was American, who met in England during WW2. On October 1st 1949, spent early years there from 3 to 7, moved with parents and older brother to the USA, as my grandfather almost died. More on request....
Asim's Extraordinary Journeys Book 1: All For The Children, compiled by Tommy Lee Davis, is about a band of warriors and comrades who sacrificed their time and lives for the peace witnessed in the village of Tress. Saon Jestin, a teacher of children in the village, narrated the history of brutality against children a long time ago. In the village of Tress, located between the great forest of Trespason, there was a sudden attack on children over four years old. They were snatched from their mothers by king guards from a faraway kingdom in the north called Nordak. Tonas, who took over leadership affairs in the village after the death of Elder Johan Sabitt, summoned the courage to announce to the villagers that they would fight for the release of their children. Boben, Yuby, Senso, and Spen volunteered to join him on the mission. Meanwhile, before they embarked on their journey, Yuby recommended that Asim, a great warrior, join them. When they narrated their ordeal to him, he and his men offered to help join in the battle. Were they successful in their mission for the children's release? Read to learn the story.
I commend the plot's development. Each chapter, from one to thirty-eight, makes an exciting episode that sustains readers' interest. The characters are believable as well. The author used simple language for clarity with his readers and listed the names of the warriors alongside the way they should be pronounced in the glossary section to make it easier for readers to learn how to pronounce them correctly. We all should emulate Asim's empathy for the villagers to help them fight for their children's release, even though they had no money to pay for his services. I also deduce from the story the importance of teaching history to children to know the past, the reasons for the present happenings, and strategies to employ to prepare for the future. Asim didn't make derogatory comments at them; instead, he spoke kind words to them when they called on him. This action is worthy of emulation.
Moreover, I admire Tona's tenacity. He wasn't deterred or allowed self-pity to overwhelm him. Instead, he summoned the courage to fight for their children's release. I admit it's incredible to read about the high level of teamwork between the band of warriors and the comrades from the village of Tress. This is a quality we all should imbibe for specific goals to be achieved. Notably, I admire Asim's affection for Lanee, who offered to assist him in the journey by going along with her girls, Pantra, Radel, etc. This shows he indeed appreciated her kind gesture. At a time when Lanee was dead following the injuries she sustained during their journey, Asim used the stones given to him as a gift to resuscitate her, which healed all the injuries she had. Following the story of Asim's extraordinary journeys, I learned that I should have a selfless spirit to work with people of passion for the good of our land.
Having read through the engaging content of the book, I discovered no errors or aspects I disliked. Hence, I give the book a rating of five out of five stars. I recommend the book to rulers of different communities, human rights activists, comrades, and lovers of action and revenge missions.
The whole story sounds allegorical, magical and, therefore, fascinating.
The bravery of those village people that had lost almost everything, especially after their kids (i.e. their most valuable) had been abducted, was something to look up to indeed. Their sheer determination during the life-threatening quest that followed afterwards was also mesmerizing. In other words, compelling, adventurous; suitable both for young adults and grown-ups.
The description of evil in all forms, including certain authorities, warlocks and strange creatures was quite convincing. Hence, the fight was bound to be fierce.
The narrative style is enjoyable and almost dreamlike, featuring powerful messages and thought-provoking twists. The character development, including the qualities of a hero, is commendable as well.
Thank BookTasters and the author for sending me a copy to read in exchange for an honest review.
Now, give me a fantasy book and you can make me one happy reader. I like stories like this, with a quest and a group of people focused on a mission – and dwarves, warlocks and other magical creatures in the middle. There's a lot of creativity in the story, for sure. The writing here is easy to follow too – even for a non native English speaker. One of the problems I had, it was at the beginning (but I kept this problem in the rest of the story too): I felt like everything happened too quickly and there were too many characters presented too soon... I would have preferred to know the first characters (the first to appear in the story) better, before “meeting” new ones. As a consequence, I did not feel any attachment to the characters. Also, I am not a big fan of describing the characters' look all at once (age, height, what type of figure, hair etc). These are the reason why I lowered the number of stars
Asim's Extraordinary Journeys by Tommy Lee Davis is a captivating fantasy fiction adventure that takes readers on an epic quest to save a village from the clutches of a treacherous warlock and his army. The book is set in a time when enchantment was the norm, and warlocks and wicked kings ruled. The story is centered around a quaint village named Tress that is met with calamity unlike any other when soldiers riding on horseback, berserk as can be, take not only the village's peace but also its future.
The characters in the book are well-crafted and multidimensional. Asim, the legendary hero, is a strong and dynamic protagonist who leads the villagers on their quest to reclaim their lost honor - their boys. The female warriors that join the platoon add a refreshing touch to the story and make it more inclusive and diverse.
The world-building in the book is outstanding, with vivid descriptions of the vast forests, great mountains, and terrifying monsters that the characters encounter on their journey. The writing style is engaging and fast-paced, keeping readers on the edge of their seats throughout.
Overall, Asim's Extraordinary Journeys is a must-read for fans of fantasy fiction and adventure. Tommy Lee Davis has crafted a compelling and exciting story with relatable characters, stunning world-building, and a heart-pounding plot that will keep readers hooked until the very end.
Have you ever been in a situation where you are called upon to offer some help? Then on your way to help out, you collide with giant challenges that frustrate your mission and even jeopardize your life and the life of your companions on that journey?
Asim, the protagonist featured in the plot, went through a similar situation. Members from a particular village came to him requesting his help. He agreed to help them because this is what he dedicated his life to doing. “To help people find a solution to their critical problems” has been his middle name.
The journey to their destination was not easy. It was full of obstacles that tried to frustrate their journey. As warriors, Asim's team couldn't let these obstacles frustrate their journey or claim their lives. They had to counter the attack as they made their way through the jungle to their destination.
I call the journey an adventurous yet scary one. It roused fear in me because I kept being worried that the plot would lose some characters. Losing characters in a story will spike emotional feelings, especially if the reader is fond of the characters. It is normal to feel that way because the story sounded realistic, though fictional, and humans are known to show fellow feelings, especially when one is in danger.
As I mentioned earlier, Asim was requested to go and offer help to some villagers. What assistance did the villagers ask from Asim? Was the mission successful?
Asim’s Extraordinary Journeys by Tommy Lee Davis is a captivating fictional story that shares Asim's extraordinary experiences throughout his journey. The extraordinary aspect of the journey is the extreme dangers Asim's team had to bear and combat.
Imagine being in the middle of the jungle. The fresh breeze and cool ambiance relax your mind. Your body adopts that cozy feeling of being in a serene ambiance. Suddenly, you hear a thunderous sound out of nowhere. How scary will you be? Though Asim and his team were aware of the dangers of their journey, from the look on their expressions, they did not expect, what they experienced, to happen.
I like that the event in the story is not predictable. The journey presented one obstacle after another. When you think all is good and now the team can walk on swiftly, you get hit with another giant problem that needs immediate action. Some obstacles required supernatural beings, like fairies, to come through and help.
I was also impressed by how the author allowed the characters to build the story with their conversations. He would have chosen to use his voice to narrate the story, but he allowed the characters to practice free will. Which I think is a fantastic way to help readers connect with the characters and understand the characters better.
Overall, the plot is adorned with adventure and suspense, which contribute to the solid foundation of the plot. I appreciate the author incorporating women in the story, showing their impact on a mission. The warriors in Asim’s team included both men and women who made up a strong team for the rescue. I love how courageous this team was despite being in a vulnerable situation.
The writing style is impeccable, expressed descriptively in a conversational tone. Some lines sound lyrical, which made me enjoy reading the book more. I did not find any flaws in grammar or formatting.
I recommend the book to science-fiction lovers who enjoy adventures and suspense in their stories. If sci-fi is not your ideal genre, please skip the book.

This book is a treasury of magical literature. I have always been a die hard fan of dreamy novel's analogy to a group of readers passionate about fantasy fiction, and my interaction with this read is definitely a beguiling one.
The plot is about a village suffering where evil is dominating the land. Massacre of innocents, destruction of livelihoods, swooping up of young children is all common due to power in the wrong King's hand. His army has monsters, a warlock, and a ruthless horde.
To rescue all the children, a few of surviving villagers went on search for "Asim". He is the gladiator and saviour. This book is all about his journey along with villagers to fight against the wickedness.
There are great physical boundaries, dense forest, massive rivers, and hidden behind these are obstacles like monsters, witches, giant dragons. The presence of dwarfs, Goblins, and female warriors is an interesting portion to enjoy. I enjoyed it, and surely you would too.
You are going to adore the story more and more because of remarkable details shown in the book. It begins with the Glossary section where you will find all the key names along with pronunciation. It will ease the pressure of understanding, and the introduction available on the next page will make you more curious about the events occurring on further pages.
The writing pattern isn't that difficult to understand. I haven't found any pace breaker elements & it is an engrossing adventure. The story is precisely written and seems to be a perfect bedtime partner. I gave my one hundred percent to this novel without getting bored for a second.
The most beautiful thing about this literature is the not so common plot. It's different, unpredictable, thrilling, and filled with head to toe exhilaration. My experience with the whole journey is compelling. I can proudly recommend this to any age group.
Tommy Lee Davis was born in Hertfordshire, England, where he first become interested in writing poems and short stories. Tommy now resides in Las Vegas. This is his first book "All for the children".
Starting with the book cover I believe its very attractive, stylish, and directly related to content. The author eases the reader's into the tail and doesn't really throw anything the reader's way, which is a good thing.
Author's writing style was simple to understand and intriguing enough to keep the readers intersted. The plot followed easily and I didn't had any difficulty reading the book. When I came to the chracters, they were all descriptively written.
Without spoiling your suspense about this book let me give you a brief idea of this story. Its about a warrior Asim who always help others.
The story begins when king army took away all the male children. Monsters used to kill innocent people, destroyed heir houses and disappeared in the darkness alongwith male children. That night shattered the life of villagers. So, some of the surviving villagers tried to search Asim for his help. Will he agreed to help them or denies them? If you guys are intersted to know what happened next then you should grab your copy now.
Author has completed this book in just 320 pages that anyone can complete it in maximum of 2-3 sittings.
Overall, I am impressed by the story and can't wait to read the next book.
I would love to recommend this book to everyone out there. It's a masterpiece that you should not miss. Do share your thoughts as well:)
We all as children or even at adults prefer to read fictional book, especially the fantasy genre is my all-time favorite. I personally liked reading about magic and all the related magical creatures. We all loved such movies based on magic, monsters, fantasy, etc. The taste has not been dead yet and I still from time to time read such books.
One such book has been this one. Its tone is set in magical time which has monsters, witches, dragons, warlocks, dwarfs and other magical creatures. One night, the fate of a village completely changed as king’s army abducted innocent children. Here, enters our Hero warrior Asim who will help in rescuing all the children and fight off all the creatures and King who crosses his path.
The language of the book is children friendly and it’s written with that perspective and I bet that they are going to enjoy a great deal of it. The author has done a commendable job with the plot and the characters, especially Asim. It compasses with all the magical elements required for a kid to love it.
This is the first book in Tommy Lee Davis' fantasy series Asim's extraordinary journeys. It was a fun read. I'm always drawn to a book because of it's fantastical characters and this book did not disappoint atleast in that aspect. Be it warlocks and witches or serpents and goblins, this book had it all. The mc as well as the other characters were quite lovable, fun and quirky. Although my fav two characters did not make it to the end, the rest of the journey was almost worth the broken shambles of my heart. I'm satisfied with the ending too. Now the things which irked me : The constant bantering between the characters tho funny at times felt unnecessary and felt like a content filler. Also some parts of the story kind of felt stretchy which I skipped over and I hate when that happens to me. Overall a nice one time read if you love adventures with fairies and lovely lil dwarfs men.
"No guarantees. You already know there's a chance we won't all come out of the Nordak's castle alive, even if we make it inside." Asim's Extraordinary Journeys is a book by Tommy Lee Davis that follows the bold and exciting adventures of Asim and his band of fighters who are on a quest to save their children who have been kidnapped by the Nordak king. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book; very descriptive in nature, the author walks you through in such a way that you feel as part of the crew and if like me you love reading about goblins, dragons,, warlocks and witches, then this is the book for you. However, I did feel like the book's plot developed a bit quickly in some areas and left out the room for suspense but other than that, this book is well written and just like the children, I can't wait to get my hands on the second book.

First I would like to thank BookTasters and the author for lending me a copy to read in exchange for an honest review.
This story is about the journey that a few people take in order to save their children. The villagers finding a strong leader to help them, getting help from different people along the way. The main character, leading a mix of people from thieves to parents of the children kidnapped, cares about the people he is leading and thinks and helps others without thinking much about himself. With a couple of characters to lighten the mood, this is a good book. With witches, warlocks, dragons and monsters, it's a good fantasy and a thriller to enjoy.
It is easy to understand and nothing heavy. A light read actually.
Thank you book tasters for recommending this nice read and extraordinary adventure, for a wonderful author with a very fascinating imagination. I believe this book can be a movie someday, it is fun for children and elders as well, I enjoyed reading it myself, took me into a different world, with magic and there would be moments of sadness and happiness. I used to hold my breath in so many parts. Eventually, I recommend this book for readers of Fantasy and YA, well there were some fun moments as well, where I laughed. This book has it all, and I knew lately there has been a series... wonderful. this is a worth reading read.
This is a very late review but I wanted to say that this book was really fun, I read and then I re-read it again because I'm in love with all the fascinating creatures and mysterious world that this book will let you dive into. If you are a fan of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings you definitely will fall for this book. I kept it reading it and drowning in the adventures and Imagining the scenes and journeys on my pillow each time before I sleep. Guys I recommend you to read this book it will definitely amuse you.
A story of heroic selflessness, of daring courage in the face of daunting confrontations, a story of good and heroes, standing against evil and tyranny. This book is a treasure trove of captivating mythical adventure. A story of a hero, who arose when there was the most need for him.
Tress; a small peaceful and homely village across the hills, bordered by the forest of Tresspason, and the rugged valleys of Panchal, is forever changed by the invasion of the tyrant king of the Northern kingdom of Nordak. But not just is the peace of Tress brutally snatched from them in one day, the very existence of the village is threatened. Left without any alternatives, these once peace loving people must take up arms and go after their captured sons, the very future of Tress. However, this is a journey they cannot embark on, on their own. They must find a man to lead this charge. A man in whose hands, they were all placing their destinies.
This is a truly remarkable book, for a lot of reasons. The author's skill to perfectly blend mythical fictional adventure, with exciting action, suspense and even love, makes this a perfectly balanced book. The main character Asim, is truly represented as the warrior he portrays, but even more interesting to see, is the part of him that develops an affection for Lanee, making him even more relatable as a man, and not just a distant fictional hero figure.
Another beautiful aspect of this story was the author's ability to bring in key female characters in the story, not just as complementary figures to the male characters, but as warriors, standing side by side with the men. This further made the story realistic, as it made sense that mothers would want to be part of the efforts to rescue their sons, but also made for more exciting plot twists in the adventures in the book.
Asim's Extraordinary Journeys is a book to be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age brackets, and one to leave the reader thrilled and yearning for more. Tommy Lee Davis has truly crafted magic in this book. More than just a tale of dragons and dwarves, of goblins and gruesome witches, it is a tale of few standing up against many. A story of the forces of good seeking justice, in a rather unjust world. And the best part of it all, there's more to be had, as the journey continues in book two: The Rogue Elephants of Ghant.
A peaceful community, Tress, was abruptly shattered by vicious Nordak warriors who kidnapped her young boys. Tonas, the village leader, recruits a valiant crew to seek out Asim, a legendary fighter with unrivaled skills. As they travel through dangerous terrain, they face not just deadly woodlands but also clashes with hostile dwarfs.
Just when things seem hopeless, they meet an enchanting fairy queen who offers advice. When they eventually meet Asim, the early tensions and misunderstandings threaten to wreck their goal at hand. However, as they go, they form unexpected friendships with competent allies like Lanee, a sharp-witted huntress, and Bendo, a tenacious dwarf commander. Read Tommy Lee Davis' book for more details about this adventure.
Davis truly outdid himself by creating such a lovely world on paper. This fictitious world didn't appear fake to me since Davis' description brought his art to life. I could feel the characters move with every word I read. From the individuals' appearances to the environment of the village, woodlands, and mountains, the details created a realistic picture in my mind, allowing me to immerse myself in the story's universe.
My favorite part of this novel was when Tonas led the villagers to seek Asim's assistance. I found it to be a gripping element of the plot. This decision essentially sets the stage for future adventures and challenges. The way that sequence was written, with the villagers' desperate circumstances included, was compelling. I had a resentment against the Nordak soldiers due to their behavior and complete lack of consideration for others.
Asim is my favorite character because of his ability to lead others and plan strategically, which makes him stand out as a noteworthy figure. The names employed in this novel are distinctive, I must say. Without a lexicon that demonstrates how these names are pronounced, it would be difficult to pronounce the majority of them. Davis, therefore, deserves my appreciation for foreseeing this and including that section of the book.
The fact that this book was well-edited improved my overall appreciation of it. As such, it deserves a perfect rating.
Finally, I recommend Asim's Extraordinary Journey to fans of epic fantasy novels because of the intricate world-building, detailed character interactions, and immersive settings that this book contains.
Medieval romances continue to captivate and resonate with readers, their timeless allure drawing appreciation for their compelling narratives and well-crafted characters. In this book, the author presents a contemporary rendition of such romances, imbuing it with a modern touch while preserving the essence of heroic valor and chivalry reminiscent of knights in shining armor. The protagonist, akin to a gallant knight, assumes the noble quest of aiding those in distress, empowering them to achieve their aspirations and restore harmony in the realm.
While the tale embraces elements of kings, power, and enchantment scattered throughout its pages, its core does not solely revolve around these facets, as they were customary during the epoch in which the novel is set. In an age governed by warlocks and malevolent monarchs, life was far from facile for the commonfolk who, bound by constraints, silently endured their plight. However, circumstances spiral into chaos when an enraged king sets his sights on decimating a village. As soldiers pillage and ravage the surroundings, abducting male children and reducing homes to ashes, the villagers realize that they can no longer remain passive. To halt this rampage, safeguard their families, and reclaim their children, they embark on a desperate quest for a savior—an exceptional hero named Asim, whom they summon to lead their cause.
True to the archetypal hero's spirit, Asim assembles an army inclusive of female warriors, acknowledging the necessity of every hand united for success. Thus commences their arduous mission, navigating dense forests, tumultuous rivers, and bravely facing formidable adversaries like dragons, goblins, monsters, witches, and dwarfs. The narrative skillfully weaves a classic fantasy adventure, captivating readers with each twist and turn as they accompany the characters in their unwavering resolve to reclaim their lost honor.
The book's adept craftsmanship merits commendation, captivating readers through an engaging and well-structured narrative.
