Als Kenner des Sports und eingeschworener Fan genau der im Buch behandelten Epoche, habe ich „Ausgebremst“ extrem genossen.

Gleichzeitig war es mein persönliches Romandebüt von Wolf Haas. Ich bin überrascht davon, wie der Autor sein Handwerk beherrscht. Einfache und doch anspruchsvolle Satz- und Wortkonstruktionen halten bei Laune, ohne dabei zu überfordern.

Dramaturgisch bin ich aufs Höchste darüber verzückt, wie sensibel es Haas schafft, den Leser zu fesseln, ohne mit einer konkreten Handlung herauszurücken.
Ein gefährliches Experiment, eine erzählerische Gratwanderung - aber durchaus geglückt!

Chaotycznie poprowadzona opowieść, która stara się zaintrygować historią, ale gubi czytelnika w plątaninie bezsensownych wątków, dziwnych porównań i nieciekawych dialogów. W założeniu miał to być ciekawy kryminał z Formułą 1 w tle, ale autor nie potrafił wykrzesać wiele z pomysłu, który narodził się gdzieś tam z tyłu głowy. W efekcie wątek mający trzymać w napięciu rozwija się niemrawo w tle, ustępując pola m.in. niewiele wnoszącym wymysłom dotyczącym spiskowych teorii na temat F1. Na domiar złego "Zablokowany" jest wprost fatalnie napisany, ale żeby nie być w tym aspekcie gołosłownym, pozwolę sobie na wiele mówiący krótki cytat z jednego z rozdziałów:

"Kiedy przypominam sobie zmarszczoną, wykrzywioną w uśmiechu twarz Liberantego, automatycznie przychodzi mi na myśl Vittorio Brambilla. Przy czym nie było najmniejszego śladu podobieństwa pomiędzy Liberantem a Vittoriem Brambillą. Wprawdzie Brambilla również nie miał za dużo włosów na głowie i być może dałoby się uznać jeszcze za podobieństwo to, że twarz Brambilli z wielkim nochalem stanowiła skrajne przeciwieństwo ideału piękności...".

Zdecydowanie omijać!

it was... good... i think if i were more into formula 1 i would appreciate this one a lot more and probably even rate it higher.
the first few chapters were very formula 1 info dumpy which was kinda meh, but the farther the book progressed the more interesting it became... all the intrigue and conspiracy was gripping and by the end i really wanted to know what was going on...
didn't expect the end either but it was very fitting.

Yay, endlich mal ein Formel 1 Roman! Es ist eher nicht so super spannend von der Geschichte her, aber die ganzen Details und das unglaubliche Wissen der Formel 1, wow! Man muss aber dazu sagen: Das Buch wurde Ende der 90er geschrieben und es handelt von Ereignissen der Formel 1 zwischen den 70ern und Anfang 90ern. Hier kann man aber auch als Fan wirklich noch was lernen. Empfehlung für jeden Formel 1 Fan - für "normale", nicht affine Krimileser sicher etwas langweiliger.

Formel 1 interessierte mich absolut nicht! Als begeisteter Haas-Leser habe ich aufgrund des Autors dennoch zum Buch gegriffen. Wolf Haas hat mit diesem Buch geschafft, mich in den Sport einzuführen und mit spannenden Verschwörungstheorien einen tollen Roman zu schreiben. Witzig, unerwartete Wenden und der einmalige Erzählstil machen das Buch aus meiner Sicht zu seinem Meisterstück.

Eine Menge Formel 1 - Fakten und eine ziemlich haarsträubende Verschwörungstheorie. Unterhaltsam, aber sicher nicht Haas' Bestform.

This may be Wolf Haas' most convenient novel with no shaping of the language used and spoken. Quite unusual for Haas, you might say. But then again, not so. Instead of using language the way he usually is, Haas is coming up with great ways of connecting things and building up a very good novel. I don't know why I didn't want to read it before (it's been the only Wolf Haas novel I haven't read for some time...).

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich mich für Formel-1-Historie begeistern könnte, aber Wolf Haas hat es wieder einmal geschafft, mich mit seinen bizarren Verwicklungen in seinen Bann zu ziehen. Diese Geschichte steht meiner Meinung nach den Brenner-Romanen in nichts nach.
