Clubland Confidential

Rate this book
The critics are calling it "the french connection remixed for the chemical generation". Clubland confidential is an excellent insight into the rise and fall of a decadent nocturnal empire that stretched over several american cities and spawned its own subculture of celebrities and wannabes. Journalist frank owen witnessed the debauchery and changing trends of american dance culture as it descended into murkier and murkier depths, climaxing in the brutal murder of angel melendez by self-publicised party king michael alig, (recently played by macaulay culkin on the big screen!) an interesting and necessary read
