This book was a joy to read. The author had a wonderful sense of humor. The bios were very short but gave a good synopsis of the American statesmen he wrote about. It was a delight in every way.

Old books are best

I liked the stories of how Lincoln was beloved by the nation, but the author also spoke of his detractors. Very well written. It is difficult to find contemporary books as well written.
