It was the sweet Beatrix Potter style illustrations that first attracted me, but the verse is wonderful too! It is all in rhyme. Each story is an introduction to a different mouse who lives in the village. Some are naughty. Some are honorable. They all are charming. My kids really liked this one. A classic that I will likely pick up for our own library.

this is a very cute little book about a village of mice and their day to day work. I love the poems that describe each mouse. i think this book would be great for a read aloud.
