Reborn!, Vol. 16 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (135–143) of the on-going manga series.
The tankōbon concludes the Varia arc. Lancia, the man who was used by Mukuro Rokudō to hide his identity, defeats the remaining Varia members. Meanwhile, Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada is declared the winner of the Sky Ring battle, earning the right to become the Tenth Vongola Boss.
One day, Reborn is accidentally shot by Lambo's bazooka and does not reappear. Tsuna uses it and is transported nearly ten years into the future, where he finds an adult Hayato Gokudera who is subsequently replaced with the younger self. After encountering a woman named Lal Mirch and an adult Takeshi Yamamoto, Tsuna and Gokudera enter a Vongola base where they meet the missing Reborn.
Yamamoto tells them that the Millefiore Family is annihilating every member of the Vongola. When Yamamoto goes to train Tsuna and Gokudera, the base is attacked by Millefiore soldiers. They find the older I-pin, Lambo, Haru Miura, and Kyōya Hibari, who, along with Yamamoto, are then replaced with their younger selves.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Akira Amano. It starts another story arc of the series in which Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada and eventually his contemporaries travelling ten years into the future by Lambo's Ten Year Bazooka in order to confront the Millefiore Famiglia and change the future. It is an interesting concept in which the future and not the past which needs to be saved.
All in all, Reborn!, Vol. 16 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.

i honestly think sometimes we don't give tsuna enough credit for how incredibly fucking mentally tough and resilient he is. imagine being 14 and then some random dude comes along and tells u that ur a mafia boss and suddenly u have to fight scary people and got tossed to 10y later and found out ppl r killing ur friends like goddamn. boy needs a break ??

We have finally made it to the future arc. No more silly games, this is the big leagues now Tsuna. It is going to take everything they have to just survive in this world. They are lacking a lot of training as shown when the run into Lal Mirch. The upside is that we get to see the future versions of all the characters. Some longer than others because the past versions keep showing up. Everything is going to get serious now. I don't know how much I can watch of this game of survival. I know it is not going to be as tame as the anime shows...

This book is really amazing as of now. It use's very complex words and is hard to understand at times. So you might have to re-read most of it. It doesn't say who the time traveler is tho! It just say's the "time travler" came back from his time travel. So its very weird book, its as if its set in the 1900s.

I guess I should be glad that they finished up the last arc before discontinuing their translation of this series, but man, the first part of the next arc was *really* interesting. It's a shame to have to stop here.

The future arc starts now! And damn, things are gonna get pretty intense (and confusing) from now on.
