""How Christ Said The First Mass; Or The Lords Last Supper"" is a book written by James L. Meagher that explores the religious and historical significance of the first mass, which was said by Jesus Christ during the Last Supper. The book delves into the rites and ceremonies, the ritual and liturgy, and the forms of divine worship that were present during this event. Meagher examines the biblical accounts of the Last Supper and draws upon the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church to provide a comprehensive understanding of the significance of this event. The book is a valuable resource for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist and the Catholic faith. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
A must read for anyone who wants to know why we do the Mass the way we do. The 19th century literary style is a little thick to read at times (look at A.E. Waite for a comparison).
Outstanding, extremely in-depth look at how the Latin Mass directly corresponds to the Passover rite and Sacrifices of the Temple in the Old Testament. It should leave out any doubts that the Catholic claims about Our Lord's Last Supper and it's direct progression into the Latin Mass we know today are completely true.
