Travel agent Melanie Green has an unimpressive track record when it comes to relationships with men. But when it comes to local bar owner Mark Logan, Mel knows she could never settle for being a comforting gal pal.Mark's the one—tall, strong, and wickedly seductive, with a mischief-made smile and soft green eyes that melt her every damn time she sees him. She wants him in her bed, wants the heavy press of his hard, hot body holding her down…and then she wants him to show her just why he's considered Foggy Bottom Beach's most delicious attraction. He's gorgeous, captivating, and far too experienced—but damn it, a gal can dream, can't she?And then one day, the impossible happens. Instead of returning her smile through the front window of his bar, Mark walks across the street…and into her office! Now the man she wants most stands right before her, and Melanie knows this is her golden opportunity. But paradise never comes easy. Before misconceptions and misunderstandings destroy her dreams, Mel must convince the local hunk that despite her reputation, she's ready for a little less conversation…and a helluva lot more body language.

Dirty talk... hot guy wants seemingly uptight gal. Gal is wanting him just as much... little miscommunication.. some confusion and then bammmm - hot sexy dirty talk and actions galore.
Was a quick read... a fun diversion and good times had by all :D
Oh wow, believe me. A Little Less Conversation was a hot little book. It had a decent story line and the chemistry between the hero and heroine was sizzling hot. This was actually my first take on this author but whoo! She truly does erotica romance justice because she definitely knows how to write a steamy love scene. If you're into heroes who knows how to talk dirty, Mark is the right man for you. While this book did not have any BDSM in it... the hero did talk about what he planned to do to the heroine, hence the tag.
The story revolves around two individuals who has the hots for one another. Sort of typical for erotica, and apparently, the hero thinks that the heroine is using him for just sex. Things sort of get out of hand and there are a few conflicts that keep the two from understanding one another. Fortunately, they both realize that the no-strings relationship was not exactly the case and the misunderstandings were resolved. But yeah, the last 30 or so pages consisted of some really hot and sexy scenes between the Mark and Melanie. Overall, it was a pretty good quick read and if you're in the look out for something like this, I totally recommend it. 4/5 stars!
For a known author and a story with potential, this was a terribly disappointing read. Both of them were IDIOTS. Then, after the big understanding (and OMG how ridiculous THAT was) was cleared up, we move to 30 pages of sex and declarations of love - only a week after going on their first date. But the sex was hot. I'll give it 1 star just for that alone.
A Little Less Conversation by Rhyannon Byrd is an erotic novella set in the small seaside town of Foggy Bottom Beach, delivering exactly what its title promises; a sizzling push-and-pull between two people who have been eyeing each other from across the street for months.
Travel agent Melanie Green has always been the “good friend” type to men, someone to confide in, not someone to burn the sheets with. But when it comes to local bar owner Mark Logan, she wants far more than casual conversation. She wants the full force of the man every woman in town seems to lust after.
Mark is thirty-six, brooding, sexy, and unapologetically direct about his desires. He is not the commitment type, preferring mutually satisfying encounters with no strings attached. But Melanie is not like the women he usually dates. Her shy smile, warm eyes, and quiet determination stirs something deeper in him, even if he tries to keep his distance. For six months he has been fighting the pull, until one day he crosses the street into her office and changes everything.
What starts as mutual flirting quickly becomes a dangerous game of assumptions and misinterpretations. Mark believes Melanie wants nothing more than to test his notorious reputation in bed, while she fears she will forever be relegated to his “friendly companion” category. Their chemistry is undeniable, but their inability to communicate what they really want leads to explosive clashes that are just as intense as their physical encounters.
This is erotica, and Byrd does not hold back on the steam. Mark is a dirty-talking hero through and through, and the sex scenes are explicit, raw, and frequent. That said, the story side is lighter; while there is emotional conflict and character backstory, it takes a backseat to the erotic tension driving the novella.
For readers like myself who wants deep emotional development or a balance of the eroticism and story development, you might not find what you seek. Still, the sexual chemistry between Mark and Melanie is scorching, and Byrd’s talent for writing heat is undeniable.
What I liked most was the sheer intensity of their attraction and the unapologetic way Byrd leans into erotic fantasy. Mark’s possessiveness, the edge of roughness to his passion, and Melanie’s determination to step out of her comfort zone make for combustible scenes. On the downside, the conflict resolution feels rushed, and I personally would have enjoyed more layers to the relationship beyond the bedroom.
Recommended for: readers who want hot small-town romance with a confident, dirty-talking hero and plenty of eroticism to scorch the pages.
Final Verdict: Steamy, intense, and pure escapism. Short on story depth, but scorching in all the right places.
Gave this a four mostly for the last chapter, but it was a struggle to get there. This story showed promise but it soon became apparent that all the action was going on in their fantasies. Really why is there so much daydreaming going on? On their first and only date, Mark is completely head over heels in love with her and devastated that she only wanted him for a one night stand. She wasn't on the same page she didn't want him leaving with out coming up for coffee.... To make a long story short they work it out a week later and talk and talk and I'm like... (Now I get the title, but it should be "A Lot Less Conversation) and he confesses he loves her and wants to marry her and move in together but not rushing her or anything...... The term Stalker comes to mind..... And they haven't done the nasty yet??? No siree. The last chapter takes care of that and the term erotica earns it's money. There is some conversation mostly about what he's going to do to her and where and how, quite detailed again. But overall it's just a non stop thrill ride on the Mark express. There's a lot more to Mark's dark passions than we know. But don't worry Melanie is up for it, or should I say Mark is? So it's a little bit more than what I expected for their first night together but it's perfectly acceptable I just hope Melanie can walk again.
I really liked the characters in this book, and was anxious for them to get together. What I didn't like is that I felt the heroine had a tendency to over-react, and I didn't get the feeling that she accepted her own responsibility for the escalation of the conflict. I thought the arc of the story was a little unconventional, too, but it came off refreshing, and I enjoyed it overall.
Really Enjoyed it.. Shows how men can get their feelings hurt as well as women. The interaction between the two people was interesting and engaging and it had it's share of hot moments. I do feel like the end was a little over done but it was still a great book.
This book totally describes me. The main character and I have the same name, same hair, same overall body type, the way she has been described. Beautifully written.
