I can’t believe Ella Goode wrote this!!! There’s only a handful of her books I’ve had to DNF and this is one of them! The hero had had “littles” before and been a “daddy” to others. FUUUUUCCCKKK NOO!!!! That should belong ONLY to the heroine and the fact the hero had slimed around with other females in that kind of a relationship didn’t make the h special or unique. It was just gross and UNNECESSARY. I stopped reading because I was dry heaving and life is too short. This was a total fail.

No leo muchos romances con diferencia de edad pero este estuvo bien. Se lee rápido y dentro de todo es un entretenido romance de oficina. Me gustó la iniciativa de Willow, ella sabía lo que quería para navidad y no paró hasta conseguirlo.

Había leído ya una versión de esta historia y esta está mucho mejor que la anterior.

This book is just…. I know you’re supposed to suspend reality but sometimes, ya just can’t. You know? 😂😂

Two people who have been aching to get into each others pants for three years, do it ONCE (the taking of the virginity thing was SO CRINGE, by the way. I would love for authors to stop writing their virgin FMC’s to be cock hungry deviants who feel no pain, even though the guy has a monster cock, SIMPLY BECAUSE “she’s so wet.”), and then they both profess their love to each other and he PROPOSES?! And then!!! She’s PREGNANT at the end. There should be a warning there. Seriously. Some people are triggered by a pregnant woman being slammed. Consider that.

I am honestly shocked this was an Ella Goode book.
While I don't get into the daddy and little girl kink, this book was just appalling.
Age gaps don't bug me at all. However, one thing I just can't get passed in most books is when one of the characters has known the other since they were young minor children. In this case Con has known Willow since she was 10 years old. Heck she was even calling him 'Uncle C', even as she's seducing him as an adult she still refers to him at times as Uncle C.
The deflowering scene was so ick. I mean...Con has known that Willow has been trying to get his attention since she turned 18. Why in the world would he assume that she's been with other people?
I mean don't get me wrong, the way this author wrote Willow during this scene as well was horrible...please authors quit giving us the virginal heroines who are so hungry for the hero's c**k that they almost come off as sl**s.
Had I known this book was going to be the daddy/little girl kink I would've left this unread.

I love Ella Goode but this one was not a hit for me. First, the heroine/ baby girl does all the chasing and has to put in ALOT of effort to get Con to be her daddy. He resisted because she was “too young” but she was in her early 20’s (yes he fell in love with her 3 years ago, but still 18). At 38, they have a large age-gap but nothing I’d consider majorly taboo.

I also hate when majority of the steamy times are only daydreams, as was the case here. Don’t get me wrong, there were some hot real-life steamy moments as well but I personally just hate ‘fake’ steamy scenes that only occur in the MC’s imagination.

Finally, her corrupt and very skeevy father was ultimately rewarded for his bad behavior… basically pimping his daughter out to make money finally paid off for the dirtbag. Disappointing that he was painted as a corrupt user/ abuser yet was rewarded when his daughter married up. He didn’t need to be thrown in the gutter but I would have enjoyed seeing at least some type of negative repercussion from his actions.

Commentary: More Daddy kink than you normally see in a book from this author! A little more kink in general. Con knew what he wanted, and interestingly, most people around him also knew. Willow had been trying to get his attention for a while, and when she found out what she liked, she realized, after a little research, that was her thing also - serendipity. This was definitely a naughty story, but I did like it.

This was an adorable twist on a classic trope! Willow has wanted Con for years but he still thinks of her as a kid, even if he thinks of her at all. She is determined that this year, she finally gets what she really wants. Con has wanted Willow from the moment she turned eighteen and transformed from a cute girl into a beautiful woman. But its wrong, she is so young and a business associate's daughter. He doesn't know what hit him and it was so cute! So enjoyed her confidence and how hard he falls combined with the holiday setting.

This was a good read. I didn't love it but I did enjoy Con and Willow. She has been obsessed with Con for a long time but she is the daughter of a fellow businessman Con knows. Her father is horrible but gets her this job with ulterior motives. I found Willow to be funny and cute with her determination to win Con. I actually did like Con the more I got of his point of view but for some reason I wasn't a huge fan of these two together. I finished in one sitting and I do think it had a great HEA.

I’ll start out by admitting that daddy books aren’t my thing. If the book is really well written and the kink isn’t over the top, I can overlook it but there’s been only one in this genre that I’ve actually loved.

This read didn’t cross the line for me so I was able to read the whole thing. It was enjoyable enough. Good characters and decent writing (needs a proofreader) but it was just a little boring and I was a little disappointed that there was no follow through on the storyline with the dad. It was just pretty anticlimactic and forgettable.

pleasant surprise

I normally don’t like short stories. I read the sample and it caught me. I read straight through. Con an alpha with a heart who knows what he wants. Willow has wanted Con since she was 18 at the ball. And Tim his assistant was a lovable character. I was hoping that Con and Willow would finally get past a few obstacles and find love. I really enjoyed this book. Don’t hesitate just purchase. Enjoyable to the end.
