This book was published in 1996…. The cheap prices for food back then compared to now are laughable at this point. However, the tips to cut the grocery bill and eat better homemade foods are still very pertinent. Includes lots of great tips for shopping and pantry use. The food pyramid listed in this book is also outdated. Many of the recipes are low fat, use margarine and canned cream soups as what was popular in that time.

I don't have the amount of time Rhonda has, but there were still some good recieps I'd like to try. If you shop with a list and clip coupons, most of this will be review for you. Oh, and check out the Awkward Family Author Photo on the back.

Good, practical advice. We eat for around $50 a week now, but I don't always have the healthiest dinners planned. I liked this on eating HEALTHY food cheaply. Can't wait to try some of the receipes and already searching for a co-op here.
