Ghostly rides, monster hunters, and a vampire who definitely isn't sexy.

A ghost train turns into a nightmare when a passenger is sucked into a mysterious vortex mid-ride. I soon stumble across his body, stabbed through the heart by a wooden stake.

Every supernatural in town is a suspect when it turns out the mysterious stranger is actually Blake Stone, Monster Hunter. His prey—any member of the paranormal community, fair or foul. With mounting fear his hunter buddies might soon arrive in town to avenge the death, we're all hard at work to solve the case.

However, my potential boyfriend Lucas is out for the count. He's developed a severe case of supernatural memory loss—an affliction that means our fledgling relationship might be over before it's started. Add in a mysterious vampire with a tea addiction and a group of pranking teenagers and it'll take a lot of pixie dust to untangle the clues and find the killer before they strike again.

I found this book discounted on Amazon; this is my honest review.
-I was glad to see Elisa's friends appear again in this story, along with her familiar Muffin.
-There were a lot of details in this book and sometimes I had to backtrack to fully understand what was said and done. I think I missed a few things, to my regret.
-I thought Leo the vampire was really funny with his addiction for tea and we understand why at the end - no wonder.
-The story talks a bit about peer pressure within the teenage years; a dare is a dare but not to the point of getting someone scared to death.
-The story was also like a catch 22, which is why I liked the end so much, even if I wasn't prepared for it.
-I wouldn't mind a book #3 in the near future. These are easily read in an afternoon and cuts the boredom of a rainy (or snowy) day.

When all is not what it seems

Another good read but was just a little too obvious. A plot of portholes into other dimensions and murder. The characters however are becoming more real with every book and you want to see how they develop further.
A trip to the fair has her new boyfriend losing his memory of her and another man going missing. Plus a portal that flings her into an empty house across town. But is it really empty. Monster hunters, dead bodies, a vampire and an interdimensional jail plus teens with a dare list. Can they work out who killed the man? Another dead body clouds the issue but when she has to fight back will she be strong enough?

Really Good

Fun with a case of murder. Elisa is the pixie, just turned into a pixie, and she is unschooled but oh so cute. But not as cute as her kitten familiar, who is adorable. Think cute as a button but hundreds of years old with the life experience to impart wisdom and information. While Elisa does not have much experience as a pixie, she is showing a talent for solving mysteries. Her two cohorts are elderly sisters who are lawyers and fairies. The 3 make a great team. Elisa's new boyfriend is just so so for me. The mystery was very good.

A Home Run of Paranormal Mysteries

I loved this second book in this series as much as the first. I also enjoyed the Beezley and the Witch series by Mason, as well. Mason is imaginative in her characters. I like that her characters don't seem too perfect to be real but do have a few flaws. One of my favorite characters is Muffin, the magical kitten that is very old yet looks like an adorable little kitten, and uses her cuteness as a distraction for others to investigate. I'm avid reader of this genre yet I've not read another character like Muffin or Elisa, the Pixie.

Entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series

Entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. A young woman inherits her great aunts house and moves to the small town and moves in. She also inherits her great aunt‘s magic and powers as being a pixie. She is the youngest daughter of the youngest daughter in her family. Follow along as her and her new friends solve mystery crimes and other goings on in her small town. Very entertaining funny at times. Great read, check it out.

Elisa learns about the supernatural!

This was a fantastic story about a lady, Elisa who learns that she is a pixie and supernaturals do exist. It was very funny at times with her familiar, Muffin the kitten. I only wished Elisa and Bronson would of gotten together. Maybe in another book?

I got as far as 31% and then had to stop. The first book in this series was light and entertaining albeit a bit weird. This one got weirder sooner. Not going to waste my time reading the rest of it.

Loved it!

This second pixie book was pretty good also. This time we are introduced to a vampire. I must say I love what happens when he's exposed to daylight. I really enjoy this universe of preternaturals. I'm looking forward to more stories to come.

Slow start

This book started out a bit confusing. First series I have read with the main characters as Pixies. I had trouble getting into it. Definitely got better the more you read. Look forward to book 3.

Die Geschichte ist originell und relativ gut geschrieben, umgehauen hat sie mich jedoch nicht. In diesem Fall kann man ein Buch wirklich nicht nach seinem Einband - der sehr vielversprechend aussieht - beurteilen.

Another fun read

It’s an enjoyable time. I’m looking forward to the next in the series. It would be cool to live in a world of pixies and elves and fairies.

Good read

This was kind of a quick read for me and that's OK, it was spunky and had lots of sass. Well written and I do hope there will be more of this series

This series is a fun quick read. Escape from the doldrums during this time of unknown. Quirky but a place that would be fun to live.

good series

I like the series. Wish it wasn’t so predictable and a little longer. I read a lot. So for me I think the writer could be amazing.

This is the second book in this series and I just don't get it. I had to keep rereading and I still don't get it.

So this book was better- in my opinion that book 1. Shocking, I know. MC is learning about her powers with the help of Muffin, her familiar.
