Elena had no clue aliens existed before she awoke to discover her abductors had crashed while trying to colonize a new world. For two long years she’d been struggling on the baked and barren hellish planet, forced to survive all alone. The only thing that keeps her going is watching over her fellow humans, still in stasis and blissfully unaware of the nightmare all around. Then one day all that changes.
She should’ve known better than to follow the crashing ship, because what she found in the wrecked cruiser is the devil himself. The alien is huge, muscles for days, with blood red skin, a tail, and fangs. It doesn’t matter that he’s built like a god and she is so very, very alone, she can’t afford to put her faith in the devil.
Payim’s whole body is sore as he regains consciousness, though not as sore as his pride. This was supposed to be a simple reconnaissance mission. Go in, look for wreckage from the colony ship or proof the vile Jurou Biljana are building an outpost, then get out. He couldn’t believe he crashed. When his vision clears, he spots the petite human and her big brown eyes filled with terror. Before he can get out of his seat, she runs. As much as he hates chasing the frightened little survivor, he’s here to help.
Elena has been lost for years, Payim lost for a lifetime, but love finds them both in Warrior Rescued.

Writing is my hobby. As a child, I had a hard time learning to read, so anything I took an interest in was deemed acceptable. I have always enjoyed fairy tales, the older unsanitized versions, as well as the modern ones, mythology, science fiction, action and romance. As I read, my mind wanders, spinning its own tales. So, I figured I’d share my ramblings with you. The books I write contain little snippets from my life. I leave it to you to decide which scenes are fact, fiction, or a bit of both. I am far braver and bolder than is likely sensible, so my heroines are just as gutsy. I'd probably be categorized as an adrenalin junky. My life has been an adventure. I've done archaeology in the hot sun, am well versed with power tools, took Tae Kwon Do in college, have ridden on a Harley with a dark stranger, but never met an alien, vampire or shifter, that I know of. My stories are tawdry, feature a heroine who is gifted in some way, and will always end happily ever after. It is my opinion this is meant to be entertainment, and a depressing ending is not entertainment. Real life offers enough depressing crap. However, I have been called dark. My apologies for my horrific grammar. It is something I struggle with. It is probably connected to the slow reading thing. Believe me people have tried. I truly hope that my fairy tales make up for it.
Elena is an unbelievably strong woman. She has survived for years alone on a planet that is literally like a living hell. Keeping watch over the other survivors (safe and oblivious in stasis pods) of the crash than stranded them far from earth. Payim arrives searching for a missing colonization vessel and hopeful for survivors. At first sight Elena sees Payim as a monster, he’s inhumanly tall, with blood red skin, fangs and a tail. So she knocks him out and toes him up… then feels bad about it because it doesn’t take long before she realizes he’s there to help and she actually has a chance to get off this miserable planet. Elena and Payim are great together, she is familiar with the planet and it’s dangers and together they figure out how to fix his communication device so he can call in reinforcements. The planet and all of its terrible dangers are expertly portrayed and Elena’s strength and plight are easy to feel With her. I especially loved the scene when they finally got off planet and Payim treated Elena to a hot tub and a plate of brownies! Wonderful!!
This was a fun setting - the planet they're on has four volcanoes, geysers, boiling hot springs, and lava rivers. The MMC is light hearted which is really good because the MFC has been living on this planet for two years by herself. He does a lot of heroic stuff but in the end, she is the one who pulls off the most dramatic wins (which is typical of the MFCs in the whole series). As he is racing to rescue her, he discovers her walking away from this scene,
“Elena was a vision, and for a moment he thought he was hallucinating. She looked like the goddess herself, calmly striding away from the horde of gryphons while volcanoes sputtered and smoked in the background. Her clothes were ripped and her hair was white with ash, but her head was held high. He didn’t need to see evidence of the vile Jurou Biljana to know she’d been victorious.”
It's like in movies where the main characters walk away with things exploding behind them. Lots of fun.
I love this series and have long been waiting for the next book! I have had a soft spot for the cadi since warriors’ pet was published; I have reread that book at least five times, but enough of the past. This book hit all my sweet spots; it has a strong h that holds herself together regardless of the situation; I loved Elena as a heroine, and as for Payim, I love a sweet alpha H with a tragic past, especially if they have fangs, tail, and red skin. For some reason, I could not feel as much chemistry between them as with other Cadi couples. Do not get me wrong; there was enough action, romance, and hot s3x to keep me reading until 5 am. It just did not feel like my other cadi couples. Still, if you are looking for a hot alpha alien with a sweet streak and tragic past and a no-nonsense kick a55 h., this is your book.
This is book eight and I am reading the series of the Cadi Warriors finding their human female mates. It’s a good series and the females are all strong and fierce. In this book, Elena is a warrior for sure. She was woken up from the stasis pod earlier due to damage during a crash landing. Unfortunately the planet that she crashed on is dangerous with volcanoes and basically nothing. Elena is amazing to survive. Payim from the previous book, has been sent on a mission with his fellow warriors to find another shipment of missing humans. There is something weird about the planet and his small cruiser crash lands. Elena discovers Payim and takes off from fear. Read On!
This is another great story in this series! Payim is a Cadi Warrior who crashes his ship when on a reconnaissance mission on a barren planet. Elena, who's been surviving on this horrid planet for two years, finds his crashed ship but runs away as soon as she sees Payim. She's never seen an alien like him but she soon finds out he is a gentle giant, at least to her he is. The mission has changed now that Elena and Payim find each other - they are mates. But they must save all the humans in stasis pods as well as any humans enslaved by the evil Jurou Biljana. This is a steamy alien romance with lots of action and a happy ending.
What a fabulous read! If you are a follower of this series, you know how intoxicating these books are. Stephanie West’s latest is her best. You can delve in to any book in the series…in any order, and while they are probably best read in sequence you can still enjoy them to the fullest if you don’t. Cadi Warrior Payim finds himself on the adventure of a life time while finding his mate. Elena’s ship crashed on an inhospitable planet. Alone for two years, she finds Payim in his crashed ship and the two face many obstacles but find love. I can’t wait for Scala’s story. Excellent! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
A fantastic adventure & romance! Such an splendid adventure. I love Elena! She is ingenious, a survivor, learns how to live amid the many dangers of the hellish planet she’s on. Her soft heart leads her to rescue one who could be dangerous. And dangerous, he is. Payim is an amazing Cadi warrior, but without Elena’s knowledge of the area, I don’t think he would have survived. He gives her the credit she’s due. I love their playfulness together! There are others to rescue as well. This is a must-read novel - so exciting, and a delicious romance!
I really liked both main characters. Elena was amazing. Her back story and personality really shined thru. Payim was the perfect mix of sweet and gruff. His back story and his devotion to the goddess was great. I love the Cadi warriors. They are such honorable males. I wanted to know more about her family. How they got in the city. There was lots of hints at “how the Jurou Biljana treat their slaves”, need more details so I can dislike them even more. The world building was stellar. I enjoyed every detail. That planet was truly hellish. The sex scenes were very hot!
OMG!!! What a ride! Excitement popped on the pages right from the start and it never let up! Elena was an impressive character, a true survivor, an alpha female through and through. Payem met his match in her, and their struggles were epic! The common enemies of the planet and the lizard creeps had them bonding quickly, and the action continued right to the end. Their interactions were volatile and as hot as the spewing volcanoes. This author has written a compelling story that's part of a series that is s reaming to be read in a bingel
Just a little too cut and dried, I'm not a fan of Insta-anything and this story is definitely that. The fmc was written as tough yet turned into a insta-ho in a second. The backstory was really weak with little info as to why all the humans were kidnapped and after the first few chapters it just faded away. Too many Plot holes to be really interesting and that's a shame because SW created a believable Jurassic type world, it's just a shame her characters were so 1 dimensional.
This is another great entry into the Cadi Warriors Series. The heroine was strong and resourcefully and I really enjoyed how the author showcased that. The main male hero was a perfect fit for the heroine. There was enough action and romance throughout, which moved the story along. I also enjoyed how the author has woven her Cadi and Anguis Defenders books together. You can read them separate, but they are best read in order as other characters are mentioned. Can't wait for the next one!
This was another great read and i can not wait for the next one! Each couple and story just reels me in. This story also had wonderful world building and i loved that the mfc was strong enough to survive is such an unforgiving landscape but to also have such a kind and caring heart was icing on the cake. The mmc was a cinnamon roll and I loved his history and back story.
Elena was beyond feisty, she was a survivor, a warrior. Payima was mistaken for a red devil on first sight, but in actuality, she found him huge, strong, kind and thoughtful. The attraction, like the danger around them, was ever increasing making you wonder how they could possibly survive.
A wonderfully exciting romance… Cadi Warrior Payim and Elena are both alone and lonely in their own way. They unexpectedly find what they are looking for in each other. They truly compliment each other… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
I love this series; therefore, I was excited to read Warrior Rescued. When I started reading it, I wasn't an Elena fan. I just couldn't connect with her, but all of that changed once Payim stepped into the picture. The adventure began, and it's beautiful.
I chuckled, it is a good addition using the parameters of the series. Excellent work.
I can't wait for the ninth, but I did skip the epilogue, since I don't do well with cliffhanger-type build-ups. But I will be adding it to my tbr when it gets released!
Absolutely outstanding story with strong characters. Love Elena and Payem. Together they make a great team. Will there be romance as well. Who knows. Can’t wait to read more about them and their lives.
Loved the characters getting lost and having to traverse the roughly designed planet to find love, enemies, and adventure. The story is well written and edited with several steamy scenes.
Rare is a book centered on the female Warror spirit. Not with myth of being stronger physically but thr true strength, survival. Author wove a tale that drew me in from start. Loved it all.
Oh my... Wow!! I absolutely, positively loved this sci-fi romance! Such an awesome adventure.. Lots of wonderful and varied characters. Steamy hot warriors and emotional connections..
DNFd at 70%. There were aspects that I liked about this which is why I pushed for so long but I ultimately got bored with the minimal, frequently amateur, dialogue.
I have missed these Cadi warriors and was beyond excited when I got my hands on this new book. I was not disappointed. This one has been my favorite of the series so far! Now all I want is more please!
