Head over heels!
I believe Zoe Chant out did herself with Lightning Dragon's Mate. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all her books but there is something about this one that just has me. The depth of Apollo & his shifter abilities is fantastic. The detailed description of his and his mate's love is spectacular. Romance, mystery, saving the "damsel" and finding ones self...such a great read. Bravo Zoe Chant!

Sweet Deception!!!
Apollo Jenkins, a Dragon shifter who lived in Hideaway Cove. The town that let him be his true self, he had great friends, a job he loved and a good life. Yet he was missing two important things for him to feel complete...his mate and his hoard.
That was until he met the town's newcomer Felicity Park, a human and his mate. Now all he needed was his hoard in order to claim her. Without his hoard, he wouldn't be able to protect her from the evil that was attacking the town.
Felicity Park, a woman who was in Hideaway Cove to discover what the townspeople were hiding. But when she was saved by a Dragon, she couldn't go through with her assignment. But if her boss ever found out that she'd changed sides, he wouldn't be too happy.
Turned out that Apollo and Felicity were mates. When her friend Maya called needing their help. Let's just say that they ran to her rescue no questions asked. They all found themselves facing off with another clan of Dragons. But the real enemy was someone they never saw coming.
I loved how Jacqueline/Arlo ( THE SEA WOLF'S MATE ), Harrison/Lainie ( THE GRIFFIN'S MATE ), along with the newly mated Felicity and Apollo were there for Maya and her son, Tomas. But was I loved the most was the town being there for each other.

A swoony and exciting shifter romantic suspense story
I loved reading Apollo and Felicity’s story. It has a bit of suspense and light danger mixed in with all the swoony love. Apollo is a a rare lightning dragon shifter who lives in the shifter friendly town of Hideaway Cove. His magic also protects the town. When he first feels Felicity cross into the town, he recognizes her as his true mate. Felicity is a human and is initially sent to the town to spy for her land developer boss but she is uncomfortable with her assignment and never attempts to fulfill it. The book is fairly low angst and has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, a bit of steam, a small amount of dangerous action, strong friendships, mystery, suspense, painful pasts, and laughs. Experiencing the journey of Apollo and Felicity’s HEA gave me all the feels - you will definitely laugh, tear up, swoon, and happy sigh. While the evil actor was fairly easy to guess, it did not diminish the enjoyment of reading the story. The book was well written and included characters with depth who grow and an engaging story line. All of the shifters Zoe Chant creates are loyal, upstanding, loving, all around good people who generally want to make the world a better place and Apollo is no different. I am excited to read more in the series.

First, I just want to say, if like me you were worried this was another “journalist ties to break shifter secrets” and you think “I need to finish series so I shall grin and hope for the best”. Don’t fear as Felicity is NOT a journalist.
It is a wonderful plot arch of Apollo. I mean all the characters are great, but Apollo was peppered in book one, a side in book too, and main course here! (It’s lunch time when I am writing this!)
Also, this will not involve the last 2 books antagonist characters and the way Ms. Chant points out how “that’s a,ready been done “. I can’t give it away. Read the book.
One point: I adore the way shifter children are described by Zoe Chant and want my own “dragonling”kinda.

Great story set in Hideaway Cove.
I am hoping it is not the last one Rom this super setting and series. I totally love Hideaway Cove. Apollo flies out to meet the treasure coming into the town. What he finds is Felicity in a car that is starting to take her over the cliff! This is the start to an exciting ride all around town to figure out why the power is acting so weird and going down. We get to spend a little time with characters from the previous stories, which is always great.
The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and endearing. Read these in order if you have not read the other 2. Hideaway Cove is a well-developed world. I loved finally coming back to it. If you like comp!ex settings, some action and vivid characters in your shifter romances, then this is for you! Enjoy!

This is Apollo and Felicity’s story from Hideaway Cove. Suspense, danger, true mates; this book has it all. Apollo is a rare lightning dragon shifter who lives in the shifter friendly town of Hideaway Cove whose magic protects the town. When he first feels Felicity cross into the town, he recognizes her as his true mate. Felicity is a human and is initially sent to the town to spy for her land developer boss but instantly realizes that she does not want to complete this mission for her creepy boss. It was a sweet story and even though it didn't have the level of spice that I sometimes like, it certainly had the level of romance and storyline that I crave.
I love Hideaway Cove and wish I could live there. Great world building (as always) by Zoe Chant and I hope this is not the last of the series for this magical town and its habitants.

Apollo has a protective speed over the hole town of Hideaway Cove when he feels someone strange is coming into town. He needs to investigate. That when he finds Felicity her car is about to go over a ridge in dense fog because something strange attracts her car. But Apollo has shifted to save her. She can’t believe her eyes it ‘s a dragon. But then why is there a gorgeous naked man standing in the road. But Apollo thinks he cause her accident. But Felicity can tell the magic that attracts her car was different then his. So they team up to find out what is going on. But she has been sent there is find the cove’s weak spot so her boss can come in to take over. But she not go to let him do it. But they are all missing something and it will be revealed. So enjoy a good read!!

Hiding in plain sight
Excellent read!!!!! Hideaway Cove experiences another human in their mist. But it seems trouble has followed. This was a fun, easy read that made for good cozy bedtime reading. The plot was nicely developed and there were enough stakes and intrigue to keep it interesting, but it leaned on the cozy side - which was what the cover lead me to expect, and what I wanted from it, and I'd say the book delivered. I do wish, now that I know, this was a "collective' pen name without anything to indicate the actual author (even another pen name), because there have been some books under the Chant name I quite enjoyed - like this one - and some that I found lacking, and there's no way to tell which I'll be getting. If I knew who actually wrote this I would be inclined to read more of their work when I am looking for something fun that will be interesting without being distressing.

I was so amazed as I read this book. No many humans could be so faithful and forgiving as Apollo and Felicity. I was overjoyed that Apollo finally discovered what his dragon's board actually was. Even his grandfather was clueless that a board could be more than gold and jewels.
What a wonderful place called Hideaway Cove. Finally a loving and respectful place for all types of shifters. All lovingly and safely in the care of one dragon, which became his own hoard. I truly look forward to examining their remarkable relationship of Apollo and Felicity his mate further; especially as parents.

Awesome!!!
Loved it, this was such a tease in the beginning but once again love concur all. I love Facility she's cool confident and a warm soul. I just love how she worked with Apollo to rid of that evil dragon Montfort. Who would of thought this little Hideaway could accumulate so much new residents... So wish we knew who the daddy dragon is for Maya son, I so believe Blackburn is the daddy..but we will never know unless she has her own story coming up..I so hope so..as always love your books Zoe big fan as always Winzie9🤗💞.

3.5 stars. This was good, though a bit disjointed at times.
At times it felt as if lots was going on but going in circles, though the ending was very good.
I loved how they treated Bruno.
I just wanted some information about Maya and Tomas instead of the dangling carrot we kept being given. Oh well, will wait for the next book. Except this is book 3 of 3, so do we get nothing more about some of the other characters.
The amount of errors though drove me nutty, I really wish this had been better proofed. Loses rating for this fact.

Her boss is a fucking asshole that needs 2 get the shit beat out of him asap!! she went 2 this unique town and almost lost her life if she was not saved. But why was she targeted 4 and by who? When she meets the man of her dreams she got a extra unique gift in the process. Her best friend needs her help but what will happen on the road is crazy? Lol there's a few unanswered questions that she refuses 2 answer about what's going on and a big surprise that c can't believe. When push comes 2 shove who will end up on top?

Unexpected treasure trove
Can this series get any better! We have a hero who doesn’t understand his own worth, a damsel who is stronger than she thinks, and dragons who aren’t quite what they seem, brought together in a town that is worth saving. I absolutely adore this couple! They are both perfect for each other, with beautiful personalities that make them easy to fall in love with. I enjoyed that we were able to reconnect with my favorite characters from the town, and that the author set us up perfectly for the next book. I can’t wait to see what that is going to be!

Four stars because this story has more errors than usual. I also feel like it's missing an ending, but maybe that will be part of Maya's book.
Apollo is a sweet guy. A little lazy. A little vain, but protective of his town. He and the heroine get together fast, but she has a secret that will come back to bite her.
There's plenty of mystery here and an epic battle at the end. The romance is low angst. I enjoyed it.

Felicity was sent to check out the people’s weakness and let him know but he had also sent an electric eel shifter to cause problems for the town. Apollo saved Felicity from dieing when her car was sent over a cliff. Found out her ex boss was a storm dragon she had quit she wouldn’t help him but all he wanted was to steal Apollo’s hoard but it was the town and he was ran out of town. Things settled down for everyone. Good book!

Good but the magic was a little confusing
The dragon magic laws were different in this book. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it but it was a little hard to follow sometimes. SPOILER. Having a human mate share magic was cool but I didn't fully understand the concept of weaving spells and stepping into it. Also the Maya and Corbin thing being unresolved was a little disappointing so I'm hoping there will be a book about it.

I am in the middle of joyfully binging a few of Writer Zoe Chant's novels. I feel like a cat--a Canadian Lynx actually--with a belly full of cream, curled up in a warm quilt. My quiet purring is fading into silence as I settle into sleep.

I love a True Mates story. No one does it better than 'Zoe'. Apollo was adorable, he has such a huge heart. Felicity handled the idea of magic very well. There were a few twists and a couple of hiccups, but these two will find their HEA. Another amazing story, with a touch of spice that we enjoy. I received an advanced copy and this is my voluntary review.

This is the third book in the Hideaway Cove series and it was just as wonderful as the first two. This time Apollo finds his mate when Felicity comes to Hideaway . I love Apollo he is so sweet and protective . This is a great story about discovering oneself. There are few twist and turns . It all makes for an amazing book

That was a really good surprise
Apollo and Felicity are so perfect together, and the dragon found his hoard. But its not what you think, and the twists and turns of the story will keep you glued to the pages. Loved it, another magical Zoe Chant contribution to the shifter world lexicon.

Perfect Match
I adored Apollo in the previous books and husband story was better than I could have anticipated. Felicity is just so perfect for him! Also, the intrigue involvingvthe supporting characters kept me reading far longer than I likely should have read, (that is what delivery is for, right?)

Better then others in series
The author must have listened to someone asking to not have the characters sound like they are from hundred years ago.
Though the lead characters were written as too slow on the obvious clues from the start.
Especially her not realizing her sudden awakening was from something her boss was doing to her.

Good HEA
I really liked the premise of the book. The only problem was how long it took for the characters secrets to be revealed. I got so frustrated with them I had to put it down before the halfway mark to read something else.
I'm glad I came back to finish it. The ending was well worth it.

Loved the lightning dragon!
Yes, it was a sweet story and the mystery and magic return us Hideaway Cove. Intrigue and twist make this story a winner in my book. You can only fall in love with Pol and his lady or should I say mate. Come along and join the gang, you will enjoy this one. Peace out.

This was a bit darker than I expected. Layered secrets and betrayals from unexpected sources close to home and heart. Suspenseful !!! All treasures can not be seen or measured, counted, or weighed, but , they are more precious because they are in the heart, kept safe!!
