Sweet and fun novella. What happens when your girlfriend breaks it off right before a spring break in Paris? Do you find someone else? Do you explore alone? You would have to read this great story to find out!
-Copy Received through Voracious Readers for a Honest Review- A short and sweet, light hearted romance that once could complete in one sitting!! It was beautiful to be a part of Brooke's vacation while she grew into the experiences of love, loss, friendships, adventures and most importantly new beginnings. •• Brooke is a photographer and Emily is a painter who travels for work. Met at the Eiffel Tower due to a clumsy step they sure made me realise of how being in the moment is important. I would love to read more about them and what happens after
I thought this was such a beautiful story by Shannon O’Connor. A short story about love and loss, friendships, adventure and new beginnings. I loved reading about Brooklyn and her friends and I hope to read more about them in the future. A great book that I enjoyed so much.
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I don’t mind a short and sweet story so it honestly wasn’t too bad, it definitely felt a bit rushed to feel the genuine connection between MC/LI- there were more than a few typos which made my brain stumble, however, I was able to read through it all nice and quick. Improvements to be made throughout the book, but I enjoyed reading it.
1.5 stars lol i spotted so many typos in this, there are a lot of inconsistencies, grammar errors, and lil contradictions - why was The Office not capitalized or in parenthesis - how is she a photographer who hates museums??? - the side characters are so flat, sorry
🌶️ Fade to black (apart from one snippet at the end)
🌈 Sapphic MCs
This was okay, I guess. Super unlikeable MC right from the start sort of put me on a downward from the beginning. And I'm not talking unlikeable as in "prickly", because I love prickly heroines, she was just plain unlikeable. Resentful of any happiness anyone has around her and making zero effort to get, I just got bad vibes from her.
The characters themselves, apart from possibly the love interest, fell pretty flat. In a novella there's not much room to work with so character work can be difficult to squeeze in, so I can give some grace there.
If you're looking for something short, sweet, and instalovey then this might be what you're looking for.
Brooke is with her friends in Paris when she meets Willow at the Eiffel Tower. It was a meet cute and I really enjoyed them together. The Butterfly moment was the best.
I just wasn't into the side stuff like Leah and Tyler two her friends and the whole cheating drama there. This could been better if that was left out.
It wraps up three years later with them meeting again at one Brooke's friends weddings. Wish it was longer but was good for what was there. I got this free on Amazon and I wanted another Sapphic romance.
I liked how easy and fast paced it was, but what made me like it also made me hate it a bit. Lol I know, it was too easy and a bit boring but if you are looking to distract yourself for a bit this book is for you. First of screw Tyler, Leah deserves better and she will get it,and also Nate, you kinda screwed up by bidding the fact that a friend of yours was cheating on another close friend of yours and then letting another close friend lie about it in order not to ruin a trip. All I have to say is WTF

This was a cute story, especially the butterfly moment. Honestly it could have been really good, but the writing didn’t sit right with me, and the kinda explicit scene in the epilogue totally came out of nowhere. Which, again, would have been fine if the rest of the story had been like that, but it very much wasn’t, so that moment seemed pretty out of place.
I’d be willing to try this author again to see if her writing/editing has caught up with her storytelling, but I don’t think I’d recommend starting here.
While the stories are interesting, you should know that none of them are finished. Yep, this is a small collection of stories that stop nowhere near the end followed by the question "Want to read more?" followed in its turn with a link to another book. I am not fond of this money grab. My time was wasted, and I'm not inclined to trust the author not to waste it again.
Thankful for the fact its not a dragging story lols. Straight to the point no unnecessary description of tiniest facial and bodily and outfit details. I don't know why I expected her bff Leah to be into her at some point thankfully not. And I love its kinda realistic with them not abruptly committing for a "together together" stuff. I love the beginning, climax and ending, so here's the five star and I thank you!
This was a short and sweet novella, set in Paris, France. Brooke is on a holiday and has a sweet holiday romance, with Willow, whom she meets on the Effiel Tower.
Filled with cliches, but of course better because it's sapphic.
If you want a short sapphic read that warms your heart, this is one.
The writing felt a little fanfiction-esque at times, with the outfit descriptions, constant mention of Doc Martens, and a few grammatical errors, but it's a quick easy read. I loved the drama, liked the romance, and didn't mind the mild smut. This book was cute, short and sweet; I really liked it and would read it again.
I want to start with… the story is cute & it’s good. BUT, the grammar was extremely distracting. All I wanted to do was edit & fix the book, which took me out of the story. A couple grammar errors is fine, but this was consistent. I have another one of the author’s books I’m going to read and I do hope that one is better.
I loved that the book was hard to put down and it had two talented artists who were living their best lives. Brooke is a photographer and Willow is a painter. After they met in Paris they each went their separate ways and traveled the world from one proofread to the next.
2 stars. The writing was good and I would check out something else from this author but this was so boring. I also didn't like any of the characters and found them all to be unlikable and whiny. This was a quick read but nothing great.
This would have been better if the author had hired an editor. Grammar and punctuation mistakes make me not want to read this again. This is a one and done read for me.
Hopefully, the author hires an editor before self-publishing anything else.
This was a cute F/F novella. It had heartbreak, travel, great friends and a love story all in a short story. I'm a fan of Paris myself so I love reading stories that involve it.
