Once they were best friends. Now they’re from two different worlds.
Zoe Bellini’s world exploded the second she kissed her best friend…and not in a good way. Every teen dream came crashing down when Padric was whisked away from Alaska, and her luck hasn’t improved in the last fifteen years. In fact, the pizza shop owner’s terrible track record with men has become a local legend. She doesn’t expect it to change when Padric—now a world-famous rock star—sails back into town. It’s not like they can just pick up where they left off…but her traitorous body sure wants to try.
Padric Jeffers never expected to return to his hometown of Lost Harbor, Alaska—not after the scandal that sent his family fleeing. But a mysterious letter with a warning about his childhood friend Zoe? That has him postponing his tour and hopping on the next flight north. Zoe’s been on his mind and in his lyrics since he left her behind, and once he sets eyes on the stunning grown-up version of his best friend, his mission is do whatever it takes to have her—and keep her—this time around.
Easier said than done, since not everyone in town is excited about Padric’s return. And someone will do anything it takes to get rid of him. Can a pizza maker and a rock star overcome their history—not to mention scandals, angsty fans and unexpected danger—and find their way back to love? A standalone novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series.

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to get a second shot at a first-chance love then this is the book for you. They were thirteen when they shared their first kiss. Immediately following that kiss their worlds imploded and the two best friends were torn apart. Padric's family left Lost Harbor and Zoe never heard from him again. That is, until two meddling teenagers reach out to the world-famous rock star and he returns to Lost Harbor. For Zoe.
I already adore this series, set in a small coastal town in Alaska, but Padric and Zoe's story is the multi-platinum book of the series! Zoe and Padric are both swoon worthy and absolutely perfect. Yes, they each have flaws, but they’re so beautifully written it only serves to endear them even more to the reader, and in no time at all they had both stolen my heart. Oh, who am I kidding? They had me at that first kiss!
Then, add in Padric's phenomenal lyrics and all of the challenges they have to overcome for their relationship to make it, not to mention the emotional ebb and flow that battered me and then left me euphoric, and gah! I’m just done. This book ruined me in the most delicious, delightful, heartfelt ways and left me dying for more! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and spend more time in my favorite Alaskan town. I want to check in with Zoe's mom and see what trouble her twin sisters are up to, but most importantly, I’m giddy to see what's in store for Nate, our next hero!
This book was amazing. From the very beginning I was in love with Zoe and Padric. The secondary characters were great, especially the twins. Good humor too. Loved it.
I found Jennifer Bernard's "Yours Since Yesterday" to be a very enjoyable read, with likeable, well-developed main characters and an engaging, suspenseful plot. I particularly liked Zoe, the female lead; she was forced to shoulder a lot of responsibility for her family at a very young age, but still managed to face life with a generally positive attitude. It would have been so easy for Zoe to become bitter because of everything that she was forced to give up for her family, but she handled everything admirably. She even managed to pursue her true passion, sculpture, in her spare time, although she wasn't able to turn it into a career. I really admired Zoe's tenacity and the fact that she didn't give up no matter what life threw at her.
As for the male lead, Padric, I really appreciated that he managed to remain grounded even after becoming a major recording artist and didn't turn into an arrogant, detached celebrity who didn't care about anyone but himself. The situation with his teenage fans was really tough, and I can completely understand why Padric would feel bad about it. I admired his efforts to put a stop to what they were doing, but unfortunately, it's impossible to control other people's behavior, and teenagers are especially stubborn. Also unfortunate is that there really are sick people in this world who would threaten Padric over what was happening, even though it wasn't his fault.
Zoe and Padric's relationship development seemed nicely paced to me. I especially loved how they worked together to trick Zoe's sisters into taking responsibility for their wrongdoing in convincing Padric to come back to Lost Harbor. It was a fun way to get Padric and Zoe past their initial awkwardness and back to being friends. The flirtatious text messages they exchanged after that were very cute, and things seemed to grow organically from there.
The secondary characters in this story were also very interesting and a lot of fun, and I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series to see what happens with them. It would be great to see Padric's friend Nate get a story of his own!

Yours Since Yesterday was a sweet, second chance love story set in the small Alaskan fictional town of Lost Harbor. We met Zoe in book 1 but each book stands alone. Zoe is a great character. She is full of the Greek spirit that she inherited from her parents and has her hands full running the family pizza parlor and helping raise her twin teenage sisters. She never got to experience life as she had hoped because at 15 her world as she knew it blew up and her best friend Padric moved away never to be heard from again. Now it's 15 years later and Padric has returned home to Lost Harbor. He is now a world famous singer of teenage angst music and why is he returning now? Well in order for he and Zoe to have a second chance they have a lot to work through and it appears that not everyone wants Padric back in Lost Harbor. This really is a sweet story and it is told from dual POV so you will get to connect with both of the characters and find out why Padric left and why he stayed away for so long. I completely recommend this series and I hope that there will be more to come out of Lost Harbor.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second book in Jennifer Bernard’s Lost Harbor series. Zoe and Padric were best friends growing up with their lives ahead of them. Then, their worlds implode with a phone call. Fifteen years later, Padric returns to Lost Harbor because of a mysterious letter. He hasn’t forgotten Zoe and she hasn’t forgotten him.
Once they find their way back to one another, they learn to deal with the impact from the phone call that still lingers, face her mother’s wrath and well as an unknown that puts their lives in jeopardy. If you love reading second chance romances, Yours Since Yesterday is the perfect read. It’s filled with mystery, angst and romance. I love reading anything by Ms. Bernard. Her books capture me from the outset.
I highly recommend reading Yours Since Yesterday, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I received an advance copy and chose to read Yours Since Yesterday. This is my honest opinion.
Caught between heartache and healing, Yours Since Yesterday takes the sentiment of the past and brings it into a real nail biter, present. For Padric and Zoe written in the stars spelled the beginning of the end. Now years later and lessons learned, fate throws a a dangerous curveball into their lives. Will the drama of the past topple any chance of a future? Bernard casts a spell that's not easily broken. With a sprinkle of humor, a dash of drama and a pinch of suspense, Yours Since Yesterday dishes up the right recipe for romance.
Another wonderfully delightful trip to Lost Harbor
One of my favorite things about a Jennifer Bernard book is that I know I’m going to get a quirky small town romance with lots of steam: and Yours Since Yesterday is no exception!
Padric and Zoe were childhood friends on the cusp of becoming more when a scandal tore them apart. Now he’s back in town and they both can’t help but pick up where they left off. Watching them find their new normal that so easily slipped back to their old normal with some extra steam was so fun and emotional.
I also loved all the new Lost Harbor people we met who just seem to be perfect for stories of their own...meaning more trips to Lost Harbor!
I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.
Oh my! I was definitely rooting for Zoe and Padric! I loved how they were best friends. Padric is back and it’s like no time has past. So glad they finally got their chance! Zoe and Padric love story was so beautiful! Can’t wait to go back to Lost Harbor soon! 💙
A second chance romance 15 years in the making. What started as young, budding love ended abruptly and almost as quickly as it started. 15 years later, he’s back and the attraction and history is still budding.
This is a nice easy read story about a quirky little town in Alaska and young lovers chasing ‘the one that got away.’
Yours Since Yesterday is book 2 in the Lost Harbor series by Jennifer Bernard, while its a standalone reading the prior book will give you background into the legend of “Lost Souls”.
Zoe Bellini and Padric Jeffers were childhood best friends but after a kiss and family scandal they were torn apart...he moved to Florida, she stayed in Lost Harbor and lost touch. Now years later Padric, famous rock star returns to Lost Harbor after receiving a mysterious letter concerning Zoe...
Family scandal, towns people taking sides, danger and the legend of Lost Souls...will this all be a part of what brings Zoe AND Padric back to where they left their hearts...belonging to each other or tear them apart forever?
Yours Since Yesterday is such a romantic title for a second chance romance. Zoe and Padric were teenage best friends just starting to explore a closer relationship when they were torn apart by a scandal that rocked both of their families. Padric’s family left Lost Harbor, Alaska to start anew, while Zoe’s family stayed and dealt with the gossip that goes with being in a town where everyone knows your business.
Fifteen years go by and Padric, now a successful rock star, appears out of nowhere looking for Zoe. Zoe, tied to her familial responsibilities of running the pizza parlor and looking after her mother and twin sisters, has never left Lost Harbor to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. When Padric returns after no contact with Zoe, he tries to make her see that he was as deeply affected by their estrangement as she was. Once Zoe figures out why Padric is really there, she let down her guard figuring why waste what little time he has there before he leaves again. When they get back together, their friendship picks up right where they left off, but can they move past friendship and into something deeper? In order to find out, Ms. Bernard mixes in a little mystery and suspense as someone is out to get Padric. Is he a target because of the scandal of long ago, or is it due to the fact that his fans have gone too far with their infatuation with him? If they can get past every obstacle that comes their way maybe they can finally be together.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second book in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series. This is my favorite story out of the series so far because of the lost love and lost time they had between them. They each dealt with that loss in their own way until they could find their way back to each other. This book can definitely be read as a standalone book; however, it’s nice to get to know the town and its people by reading the first book: Mine Until Moonrise.
Zoe’s bad luck with men is EPIC! It all started as a teen. Zoe and Padric had been best friends forever, until that fateful day. On a hiking excursion after experiencing her first kiss, Zoe’s life as she knows it comes to an abrupt end. Zoe’s father and Padric’s mom had an affair that became fodder for town gossip for YEARS. Padric was able to escape the shame, gossip and taunts. Zoe wasn’t so lucky. Zoe’s parents had a volatile relationship to begin with, but it only got worse with the affair. Zoe’s bad luck with men continued with her following relationships. One even ended with her ex fiancé suing her. So, Zoe makes their family pizza shop her top priority.
Padric never thought he’d ever come back to Lost Habor, but certainly didn’t expect the chilly greeting he received from his former best friend Zoe. Especially when he came back for her, to help her. Padric left under a cloud of gossip, but came back a rock star. Although he’s been “living the life”, he never could forget the one he left behind. When he receives a letter “indicating” Zoe’s ill and needs help, he rushes to be by her side. As they become reacquainted, they soon discover her twin sister’s deception. But playing along leads to real feelings, a rekindling of their friendship. Will it be enough to bring them together or send him back on tour forever...
Woohoo 🙌🏻. What a way to follow up with the second in the Lost Harbor series! So different, yet the same. The suspense was page turning! I actually didn’t guess the bad guy until the very end. I loved how manipulative the twins were, because it was for a good cause. Padric’s encouragement for Zoe to follow her dreams and submit her artwork was swoon worthy! And finally, I loved it when Zoe FINALLY stood up to her mom after all these years! I highly recommend this second chance novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second book in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series by Jennifer Bernard. After being introduced in the first book, Zoe Bellini shines in her own love story. Fifteen years ago, Zoe and her best friend, Padric Jeffers were hiking in the forest near Lost Harbor when they kissed and their lives changed forever and not in a good way. Events known as The Scandal result in Padric being whisked away from Lost Harbor and leaving Zoe behind with a broken heart and shattered dreams. Padric Jeffers is now a world famous singer-songwriter and he never expected to return to Lost Harbor. However, when he receives a letter concerning Zoe, he postpones his tour and heads north. Zoe had never been far from his mind in the last fifteen years and when he sees the gorgeous woman she has become, he is determined to never leave her again. Of course, their reunion would be easier said than done as someone in Lost Harbor is not happy with Padric’s return. Yours Since Yesterday is a story of a second chance at one’s first love. It is filled with drama, sexy romance and deep emotional healing with a smidge of mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Zoe and Padric’s story. Their romance, which began innocently as teens, grew into a steamy and sexy attraction that they could not deny. I enjoyed their cynicism, especially Zoe’s as she had one bad relationship after another. She didn’t want to believe in love for it would break her heart again. I also enjoyed the introduction of new characters that will appear in future stories, especially Nate. His interaction with Padric had me laughing! I highly recommend Yours Since Yesterday. Although I wouldn’t recommend reading this story while hungry. The descriptions of Zoe’s pizzas are mouthwatering!
Yours Since Yesterday is available in paperback and eBook.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second book in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Although this is a standalone, we meet Zoe in the first book. I was looking forward to her story with Padric.
Zoe and Padric were best friends when they were younger. Major family drama broke them apart after their first kiss. Since that day, Zoe seemed to have bad luck with relationships. She runs the family pizzeria but has longed for more her whole life. Several broken engagements have not helped her either. Now Padric is back in town, but why? He is now a famous rock star and has not been back to Lost Harbor in 15 years...
Padric never expected to return to his hometown of Lost Harbor, Alaska. The family scandal between the Jeffers and Bellini's is well known and he had no intention of returning to the scrutiny of the people in his childhood small hometown. But the alarming letter he received gave him no choice but to return to check on Zoe. She was his best friend and if he is being honest, there is unresolved business between the two of them.
Zoe is not very happy to see him, but he is very excited to see her. She was always beautiful to him, but the grown-up version is amazing. He soon realizes he needs her in his life and needs to figure out how to make her see it his way. Once Zoe realizes that he never truly forgot her, she settles in to accepting their friendship again. Padric is really sweet, and I love how he wasn't afraid to show her how he felt. The family drama, small town drama, a bad guy, sensitive Mom, romance, sexy time and good characters make this story a good read.
I really enjoyed the story overall. As with the first story, I did feel there were some things left unresolved. That being said, I did enjoy this one a little more than book one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Zoe Bellini and Padric Jeffers were best friends in high school. On the verge of something else, their world and relationship collapsed around one scandal, leaving Zoe alone in Lost Harbor dealing with the fallout. Fifteen years later, Zoe has taken over the family business, but has had horrible luck in relationships. She’s more than shocked to see Padric at the helm of the boat entering the harbor, especially since her old friend is now a famous rock star. Why would he come back to Lost Harbor after so much time with not a word? Padric has finally come home, and he can’t stay away from Zoe, despite the fact that he never contacted her after he left. As these two rekindle their friendship, can they take their second chance at a deeper relationship? Or are they doomed to the bad luck that separated them originally? Can they overcome Zoe’s mother’s anger toward anyone with the Jeffers last name? Not only that, who is out to hurt Padric? Jennifer Bernard has done it again. This is the second novel in the series set in the small picturesque town of Lost Harbor, Alaska. The town is full of interesting characters, and Zoe and Padric are wonderful together. Two people who have always been in sync, something that time didn’t change. They are well-developed characters that have depth and flaws. The secondary characters, including Zoe’s family, add another layer to the story. This is a standalone novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series and, as with Bernard’s other novels, it shouldn’t be missed. Her storylines and characters are well-developed and will keep you engrossed, running the gamut of emotions from laughter to tears. It seems every new book of Bernard’s becomes my favorite. #YoursSinceYesterday #LostHarborAlaska #JenniferBernard
Zoe Bellini & Padric were best friends when they were growing up, so one day when they were hiking, they kissed, and then both lives took a huge hit. Padric moved away right after that moment, and Zoe never saw him again for many years. Fast forward 15 years later, Zoe's life consists of running her family pizza place, and trying her best to keep her younger twin sisters out of trouble, which is no small feat. Her love life is the town legend, as she's not fared well there one bit. However, Padric gets a cryptic letter, hinting at Zoe being sick, so he comes back to Lost Harbor, Alaska to see if he can help. His life has been good, as now he's a famous rock star, and no longer worries about money, however there are some issues going on which really messes with him. Despite any dating life he's had, Zoe has never been far from the back of his mind, and this time, he's determined to explore their chemistry, and/or at least get his best friend back. Yours Since Yesterday was a sweet story that I really enjoyed, and it did have a big side of heat, as the chemistry I already spoke of, shoots sparks in every direction, and won't be denied. But it's the two teen twins, who truly are a menace to society in the most hilarious ways, who tried to steal the show at the end of the day, and they kept me laughing like crazy. There was also the bonus of some twists that allowed the f-bombs to drop loudly. So, do Zoe & Padric decided to take a chance on love with each other?! One click to find out, as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
WOW!! I loved, loved, loved Zoe and Padric’s second chance love story in Yours Since Yesterday by Jennifer Bernard, book two in her Lost Harbor, Alaska series. When Padric mysterious reappears in Lost Harbor, Zoe is blown away. She can’t imagine that her one-time best friend would remember her let alone return to see her. In fact, since he left fifteen years ago, Zoe has had the worse track record possible when it can to men and romance. After receiving a mysterious letter concerning the well-being of his childhood/teen friend Zoe, rock star Padric finds himself postponing his tour and hopping on the next flight north. Zoe’s been on his mind and in his lyrics since he left her behind and once he sets eyes on the stunning grown-up version of his best friend, he knows he must do whatever it takes to have her, keep her and make her his this time around. Not everyone in town is excited about Padric’s return since it brings back memories of The Scandal and has someone doing their best to get rid of him. With all of the memories, crazy angsty fans, unexpected danger, and the family demands on Zoe, these two will still try to find their way back to loving each other.
Ms. Bernard wrote an amazing, visual, sexy and magical escape that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Zoe Padric a chance at forever love. I highly recommend Yours Since Yesterday to other readers and can’t wait for the next story in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Yours Since Yesterday blends romance with a touch of mystery and suspense. You will be enthralled with Padric and Zoe's story until the very end not only because you will wonder if their love really has a chance of surviving, but also if they themselves make it through reconnecting unscathed.
There is little doubt throughout the story that Padric and Zoe get along as friends. Their friendship status is what has held strong throughout the years they were apart, but a relationship beyond friendship doesn't blossom without compromise. This is where both Padric and Zoe find trouble in their newly found path.
While Padric is an international rock star, with tour schedules, an entourage, fans, etc... Zoe is the local pizza star bringing joy by filling any and everyone's stomach with fantastic pizza. Her business is so busy she hardly has time to rest, that doesn't exactly allow time to follow a rock star around on his tour.
This is just one of the problems between this amazing, but headstrong couple. The biggest one of all isn't even their burden to bear, it just belongs to their surnames. A scandal created by their parents that people still whisper about years later.
So as much as they try to get over each hurdle in their past and just go for living in the present they both worry that they will not have a future beyond Padric's visit to Lost Harbor.
Yours Since Yesterday is a lovely read filled with the perfect mix of romance, steamy chemistry, and suspense.
Let me first say this is a standalone story however it is a book two in a series. I always enjoy reading about past characters but this book can be read on its own. Oh boy. And what a story it is! Zoe Bellini has a wonderfully, complicated family. I won’t go into too much detail as the author, Ms. Bernard, does a much better job of telling this story. However, Zoe has a friend named Padric Jeffers, from when they were wee ones, but they are torn apart when they are 15 years old. And let me just say, whoa.
Padric returns to Lost Harbor and what he finds there is not what he remembers. For one thing, Zoe is…gorgeous! And he and Zoe try to fight their mutual attraction and that’s what makes a great story. I could identify with Zoe’s familial responsibilities – her twin sisters are a hoot! Of course, if I had to help raise them, I might feel differently… Her mother is, well, difficult would be a good description. She has valid reasons to feeling the way she does however commandeering is a good word for her personality. And Zoe tries to take care of everyone.
Zoe’s and Padric’s passion flares hawt and they make a great couple. This is my simple explanation for a story that has fun and snark-fighting and crazy families and a bit of intrigue, but most of all, an HEA that can’t be beat. Looking forward to the next story in this series!
“Yours Since Yesterday” is another great edition to the Lost Harbor Series. If you haven’t read the first book you might want to go back and read it (Mine Until Moonshine) but if you picked up this book first no worries!
Set in a small town in Alaska this series just makes you want to book a flight and visit the beautiful state yourself. “Yours Since Yesterday” fully embraces the “one that got away” that seems to be a part of everyones life at some point or another. Zoe never thought that she would see Padric again. Especially after 15 years. 15 years and quite a bit of success for now well known rock star Padric Jeffers. Zoe has had some success of her own. Not only is she running the popular local pizza place. She also is an artist with great potential if she would just take the chance on herself. Throw in the reason for Padric’s sudden appearance and you have a great story filled with moments of laughter and of course some heartache. Will what brought them apart some 15 years ago stand in the way of the sparks that clearly still exist?
If you are in search of a feel good story that you simply can’t put down m, this is definitely the book for you. Jennifer Bernard is an amazing author that keeps your interest in the story from the first page until the last. I could easily sit with this book and read it from start to finish in one sitting.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series which can be read as a standalone or as the second novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series, a second chance romance and is told in the third-person point of view.
First kisses are everything. When best friends, Padric and Zoe share their first kiss, their worlds are turned upside down by a single phone call and everything they know changes in an instant. Fifteen years later Padric postpones his tour to return home to Lost Harbor after receiving a letter from Zoe's twin sisters stating that Zoe needs help. Padric is determined to make sure Zoe is fine and helps her. After reconnecting and realizing that he got scammed into returning home, Padric and Zoe are determined to move past the scandal that rocked their lives.
I fell in love with Padric and Zoe right from the beginning of the novel. Zoe's twin sisters and the mystery of someone not wanting Padric back in Lost Harbor made this book extra intriguing. I can not wait for the next Lost Harbor book to reconnect with the Lost Harbor crew and see where their stories go. Another great novel by Jennifer Bernard.
Zoe and Padric grew up together as best friends, until the night they had their first kiss and, their worlds imploded. Zoe's dad and Padric's mom were having an affair so, Padric's family drug him to Fla. and, Zoe's parents stayed together, fighting and yelling until he died a 10 years later. Zoe now runs the family pizzeria and, is off men because she has the worst of luck with all of them. Padric is now a world renowned pop star and, is quietly returning home to Lost Harbor for some well earned R&R. When the two reunite, the sparks are still there, only 200% stronger than they were 15 years ago! Zoe can't let her mom know because, she hates Padric. Padric wants to keep a low profile because, some of his fans are doing some strange things to profess their undying love for him. What can you do when someone is trying to kill the man you love or, when you can't possibly let your mom know that the man you love is back home? What can you possibly do when you are a world traveler and, the woman you love is permanently embedded in her hometown and, will never leave!!! This is a great addition to the series. Can't wait for the next one!
What do you do when the person you shared your first kiss with suddenly shows up after being apart for years? And he’s a famous rock star? Zoe doesn’t know which way to turn. She’s still attracted to Padric but the scandal that sent his family packing is still fresh in her mother’s mind. He’s not going to stay anyway, right? Maybe she can just get him out of her system?
Padric has always remembered Zoe & held other women up to her standard. He’s been waiting for a reason to come back & a devious letter written by Zoe’s twin sisters does the trick. Can they find away to be together?
I really enjoy this series so far! It has all of the Jennifer Bernard characteristics that I enjoy - small town, good hearted gossips, close friends, great chemistry. From the beginning, I felt a connection with Zoe & loved her loyalty to her mom & Sisters & her determination to get what she wanted out of life. Padric had a real chauvinistic moment & I just about changed my mind about him. He made it right though & all was fine again. I loved Zoe’s twin sisters & their determination to make their festival the best. I really can’t wait to see the rest of the group settle down!
This happy ending hit several snags along the way.
Zoe and Padric were 15 year old best friends. They had also just, and I mean just shared their first kiss when their cells went off and all hell broke loose. That hell, her dad and Padric’s mom were caught in an affair. Within days Padric was gone, moved, somewhere, no idea where.
As Zoe is standing near the boat slips, a boat pulls in. Her eyes must be playing with her because it looks like Padric. Yep, it’s him. He has come because there is something wrong with Zoe. Or so he is lead to believe. Plus he is carrying some emotions all baggage. Her dad has passed and her mom has a fragile heart so no one can tell her that Padric is in town or that he and Zoe are...involved?
This story is truly about two innocent bystanders in a big game of war. Of the four adults, we aren’t real sure any of them recovered. Zoe and her siblings definitely didn’t. The town, well they still talk about it. Can a rockstar find home again in this small town in Alaska with a pizza specialist? What about all the incidents that keep happening?! There is a possible crazy eagle too.
Yours Since Yesterday has it all going on...friends to lovers, second chance romance, a bit of mystery and danger, as well as...Scandal! And yes, it should be capitalized! Zoe and Padric were best friends that could have led to more if his family hadn’t left Lost Harbor 15 years ago. He’s back, thanks to a bit of subterfuge, but can he and Zoe rekindle that friendship...and spark a romance. Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book! Zoe is spunky yet totally vulnerable, her twin sisters are both terrors and possible world leaders, Padric is sweet and sensitive, and the town full of interesting characters. I’ve read other books and have never has an interest in visiting Alaska. Frankly, my home state is cold enough in the winter! But Bernard’s description writing make me want to hike through the forest (so not a hiker) and take a boat ride along the harbor and out into the open ocean. Just don’t tell my husband...he’ll be booking the trip asap! Great characters, fantastic storyline and wonderful writing make Yours Since ayesterday a 5 star read!
I loved reading Zoe and Padric's story. This is a book about childhood friends-reunited-to-lovers. It is written in third person from dual POV.
Zoe does everything for everyone else before herself. She has put off dreams and given up on love after some bad luck in the romance department. Padric and Zoe were best friends until they were 15. After they were separated by a move, Padric grew to be an international music star. His return to Lost Harbor at a pivotal point in his career is eventful and life changing.
I loved the humor in this book. Zoe's family is loud, energetic, and passionate- leading to some funny and poignant events. I love the friendship that Zoe and Padric share, their knowledge of how to read each other is such a treat. There is some drama, some mystery and some heartache along the way to their HEA. But Padric realizes what is important to him in his life. Zoe learns to take some chances, and to put her own happiness at a higher priority.
This series is a real joy for me and I cannot wait to read more.
This was a wonderful second time around romance. Padric and Zoe were teenage best friends before a scandal rocked that friendship. Even though they weren’t involved in the scandal it basically ruined their friendship. Until Padric came back. After seeing each other for the first time in 15 yrs, Padric and Zoe both realized what they were missing. Friendship but also that connection that they felt with each other and no one else. Even though they both looked. When Padric and Zoe finally got together it was super HOT and I must say Padric surprised in me- in a very, very good way! I loved these two as a couple and yet the scandal that sent them apart still hung in the air around them. I loved Zoe’s younger twin sisters, Monica and Alexis. They were hilarious and a handful for Zoe. I loved all the secondary characters- Nate, Maya, Ethan, Theo. Can’t wait for more books in this series.
First of all, I love this title! It has so much hope and romanticism in just three words. Padric and Zoe were best friends in high school until their world was turned on it’s axis by the Scandal. He was whisked away and hasn’t returned for 15 years. In all that time Zoe has tried to move on in her life but can’t seem to. I adore Zoe. Too bad right after that kiss both of their worlds blew up and they were forced away from one another due to a scandal. Even though they weren’t involved in the scandal it still ruined both of their lives at the time. Now 15 years later Padric is back in Lost Harbor and the minute he sees Zoe again, he knows that she is the one for him. Zoe isn’t quite ready to forgive Padric, but he is patient with her and slowly wins her back. These two seemed to still be on the same page with one another and their love grows based on that friendship that was the foundation for their relationship. These two make such a cute couple that you couldn’t help but cheer them on to their happily ever after. You also get to meet Zoe’s twin sisters in this story and trust me, you are going to love them.
