Do you want the healthy lifestyle you have always dreamt of? Do you want to go keto , but don’t know where to start? All of these recipes are made with common ingredients that deliver great flavor and stunning aromas. They are approved by my husband and my guests who often come over for dinner. They are designed to guide you every step of the way in order to prepare the best keto foods ever.
This was a nice book for both Keto Diet beginners and for beginner cooks in general. In this cookbook, you have (along with the recipes) information on both the Keto Diet and where to start. There is information on what the diet is, the macro-nutrient balance (so make sure you are still eating healthy with this diet), tips, benefits and a few hacks that help (and more). It was nice to read about this information before jumping into a new diet.
I loved that each of the recipes were simple and easy to follow. Each recipe has the time it takes to complete, the serving sizes, a brief introduction, the calories/fat/carbs etc, ingredients and instructions. Everything is simple and easy to follow. The recipes are categorized: Vegetables and Side Dishes, Poultry, Pork, Beef, Fish and Seafood, Eggs and Dairy, Vegetarian, Snacks and Appetizers, and Desserts. There are 75 recipes to enjoy here and none have any obscure ingredients. In fact I am pretty sure everyone I made was with ingredients I already had around the house.
My favorite recipes so far are: 7. Spicy Baked Eggplant with Herbs; 12. Ranch Chicken Breasts with Cheese; 18. Lemon Garlic Grilled Chicken Wings; 41. Tuna, Avocado and Ham Wraps, 49. Cheesy Brussels Sprouts; and 72. Peanut and Butter Cubes.
I recommend this cookbook to those wanting to try out this new diet and to those who are looking for simple, delicious recipes that are easy to make and enjoy. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
This book was full of recipes that look very easy to make but they had a lot of ingredients that I rarely if ever use and the directions were not very clear on some of the recipes. I like recipes that use more simple, everyday ingredients. I also wish there were photos for at least some of the recipes.
Perfect for beginners, easy to understand. I have read through once just to get a general idea of Keto diets. Explained it really well Shame there aren't any photos of recipes though
Very simple and basic. There are some really strange recipes in this collection such as the Paprika Omelet with Goat Cheese. If brand new to Keto please be sure to research some of the ingredients such as peanuts and peanut butter....this book does not specify to use peanut butter with no added sugar so not all recipes reflect true Keto and many leave room for interpretation.
