I sure hope there will be more in this series. Soooooo good. 5 stars.

I listened to the audiobook. It's an interesting combo. There are times when I find the main character just a little too naive (who opens a hotel door without checking the peephole first?)

But the narrator detracts from the story, rather than enhancing it. If she would only breathe normally, instead f showing off that she can read several long passages without taking a breath, or pausing for natural breaks, then it would be so much better. As it is, her narration detracts rather than enhances. Narrator for the version I listened to is Celeste Lawson.

Seeing her name on an audiobook would make me pause rather than encouraging me to venture forward.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

I am really enjoying this series of books based on daytime drama head writer, Morgan Tyler. But if I ever find the woman who is reading on these audiobooks, I'm gonna stick a sock in her mouth. She's terrible! Also, as in the previous books, Linda Palmer uses the word "sardonically" an excessive number of times; I noticed five.

In this, the third book in the series, there is very little daytime drama, and a whole lot of stalking, murders, kidnappings, and hiring of detectives.

The book is enjoyable because Palmer weaves the lives of sufficiently interesting people together, and maintains a sense of suspense. Easy, pleasant reading.

Another Morgan Tyler mystery. Morgan is producer/writer of soap operas and can't seem to help getting involved in a mystery. The books are complete but reading them sequentially is helpful. A few things were brought up that I know are resolved in the next book. In this book Morgan is helping her star Link who is being stalked. There isn't really a mystery of who did it just how and when it will get resolved. Basically clean and non graphic. Also lots of fun insights into "daily dramas".

What a fun trilogy! This is book two (the library didn't have the first one), so I picked this one up to listen to in the car. It's about a daytime drama head writer, newly promoted to executive producer, and all the fun drama of dealing with actors/actresses, story lines, agents, network execs, location shoots in Hollywood and of course, a couple of good murders. Well written. I've just picked up the next one in the series.

I listened to the 4th book first and couldn't wait to go back and start from the beginning. I have really enjoyed all of these cozies. They are light and a fun listen.

One of the characters on the soap opera, Link, is being stalked by a young woman. He enlists the help of Morgan to help him out. Poor Lena is really off her rocker and Morgan tries to help.

I can't wait for the next one to come out.

I can't remember from the titles which order these three mysteries in the Daytime series run. But they are all excellent. I love the look behind the scenes at daytime televison, the ongoing romance plot and the mystery. I'm looking forward to book #4, but can't find out when it's due.
