By God's design, romance is supposed to be the flame in the fireplace of marital intimacy. Yet far too many Christian couples feel cheated because their marriage produces as much spark as a book of wet matches. Others have neglected to fan the flames of passion for so long that they have lost hope of experiencing romance. Rekindling the Romance , now available in trade paper, is organized into short, biblically-based chapters. Packed with practical insight, this tastefully candid and inviting resource provides the Christian couple with the keys to unlock their relational and sexual intimacy.

A good book. Am always on the lookout for good books on marriage and this was worth my time. A book that will make you polish your marriage to make it shine brighter. And also helps understand the man in your life better.
Was a great book for helping me put my priorities in order for my marriage. There is a women's part and a man's part to this book. My husband hasn't read it yet but will hopefully start soon!!! I recommend this book to anyone married for a while!!!
Still processing everything the Rainey's put in this book; had to read it twice to even begin to digest the full content.
A few words to describe the book in it's entirety: Frank, honest, challenging, encouraging, motivating...
This is not a typical Christian "sex" manual. It goes way beyond the bedroom, touching multiple areas of the marriage relationship, but makes it clear that nearly every element of marriage connects in one way or another to what goes on (or doesn't) under the covers.
Dennis and Barbara present much more than average advice column suggestions here. They share from their own 30+ years of matrimony, and more than 25 years of marriage and family life professional counseling.
The subtitle really explains in depth what this book is about - 'Loving The Love Of Your Life.'
I give it a "meh." Christian non-specific relationship book, though not as interesting or well-written as the Dillow and Pintus book (which is alluded to multiple times in this one). Paints with a really broad brush. ALL men are visually stimulated and are turned on by everyone/everything they see, and ALL women are filled with empathy and need an emotional connection and put other worries before sex. Boilerplate advice about going out on dates, hiring sitters, and making your relationship/sex foremost on your to-do list. Wives, put out for your husbands even when you're exhausted. Husbands, start seducing your wife several hours before you want to roll in the hay. Porn and romance novels are bad (except for Song of Solomon).
I liked how the book is split into his/her format. I only read the women's section and although there were some good pointers and ideas, it felt a little repetitive after awhile. Really only addressed the stereotypical "man wants sex all the time, woman doesn't care for it" attitude. Great book for a couple who fits that description. Good insight to how each other think though.
