The description of the book I am listing below is from the back jacket of the book. I'm adding it because I believe the one on the Goodreads page does not depict this story.

Clary Cummings flees her home when she finds her husband in bed with a lover. Her car plunges over a bridge and she ends up traveling in time back to early America. She’s rescued by a farmer and given shelter on his property. She begins to develop a fondness for him, but he’s hiding a secret and she’s learned not to trust men. Jack Martin knows he’s falling for the strange woman who dropped into his life, but he’s taken a vow to protect someone and can’t confide in Clary. Can he convince her to trust him despite the secrets between them? An amiable time travel romance during an interesting era in American history.
Pure escapism. Some things that make no sense (how can a heroine from the 90's time-travel and have the narrative point out that the cut of a dress is in the style of London when she's never been to London - thus making the reader think the heroine notices the cut) but that is the danger of writing a quick historical novel in strict third person while in a time travel romance. That's a supreme nit-pick that can easily be explained, though. This is the kind of book that was just pure FUN to read, and I loved the various characters. The reformed and hardened madame of a whore house always makes for a great secondary character. Can't wait to salvage more from Flora Speer in the old historical department.
