We go to ancient Egypt, Elizabethan England, and six other particularly picturesque eras to discover plenty of timely props and costumes. At the outset, we're presented with objects to find in each picture and a trio of mischievous scavengers to help guarantee success. In all, the book is a sweet introduction to the idea of differentness in different times, backed up by caption factoids and funny illustrations. (For the younger set, ages 4 and up)

Read "on the banks of the Nile" (pgs 4-5) as a supplement to our Ancient Egypt study. My 7yo LOVED it! She had me read her a few of the other others jist for fun!
