Have loved this book for years, since I bought it (in Spain) in the mid 90s. Always enjoy reading it again, and even occasionally make some things from it; just had a lovely chorizo and chickpea dish. The butchery skills mentioned in the recipes seem quite high to me, but I usually work round that by getting pre butchered meat. A beautiful book full of evocative photography and lovely stories and details of the food of Spain.

I will probably never cook any of these, especially since the ingredients are things that you can probably only find over there - but the descriptions and pictures really give a view of another way of life.
