This book is recollections from different men who flew most of the different aircraft in the US Army Air Corps inventory during World War 2, there is even a chapter about gliders. The book is filled with technical data and most of the stories is just about what is was like to fly the different planes and there is not a lot about operational flying during the war. Recommended for pilots I would say.

As this is a series of personal memories of flying different WWII aircraft, some are quite interesting while others not so much. Definitely worth a read by anyone with an interest in the subject, probably not so much for those who do not.
