To the horror of my parents, I left school at sixteen and held a bewildering variety of jobs: I was a London DJ (in the now-trendy Primrose Hill), a decorator and a singer. After that I became a cook, a photographer and, eventually, a nurse. I waitressed in the south of France, drove an ambulance in Australia, saw lots of beautiful sights but could never settle down. Everywhere I went I felt like a square peg—until one day I started writing again and then everything just fell into place. I felt like Cinderella must have when the glass slipper fit!
Today, I have the best job in the world, writing passionate romances for Harlequin. I like writing stories which are sexy and fast-paced, yet packed full of emotion—stories that readers will identify with, laugh and cry along with.
My interests are many and varied—chocolate and music, fresh flowers and bubble baths, films, cooking and trying to keep my home from looking burglarized! Simple pleasures—you can’t beat them!
I live in Winchester, one of the most stunning cities in the world, but don’t take my word for it—come see for yourself! I regularly visit London and Paris. Oh, and I love hearing from my readers all over the world…so I think it’s over to you!

This was better than the first novel in the duet; that one was Crowned for the Sheikh's Baby and it dealt with this heroine's older sister. The heroine in this novel is not a doormat like her big sister Hannah. Tamsyn is feisty, pricky, loud mouthed and sometimes she can say things that make her a little unlikable. However, I didn't hate her because the author was able to justify ( for me, at least ) why Tamsyn behaves in that way. Tamsyn's had a very hard, poverty stricken life filled with horrible foster parents. She's a bit of a rebel who didn't do all that well in high school and has since that time been jumping from one dead end job to another. She was portrayed in Crowned for the Sheikh's Baby as a bit of a problem child but by the time we get to this novel, she's become a little more sensitive to her older sister's past sacrifices and has decided that she needs to act like a responsible adult for a change. She meets the H for the first time while she's working as a cocktail waitress. He's in the process of dumping his then mistress and the bad tempered heroine thinks he's an awful pig so she dumps his drink on his pants. She gets fired of course and this is a habitual thing for her, since she's always unable to hold on to her waitressing jobs.
The MC's meet each other again when they're at her sister's wedding to the sheikh H of Crowned for the Sheikh's Baby. Tamsyn plays hard to get for about 1 day and then they end up having a sex filled one night stand. Tamsyn is hurt afterwards because he leaves her with just a polite "Thank You" note on the bedside table. I felt sorry for her because she's a thorny and defensive heroine; she's been hurt a lot by strangers in her life and also lives with the pain of her mother's abandonment. She tries to act tough and tells herself that she's not bothered by the way Xan had treated her, but it's obvious that she's very disillusioned and depressed. She doesn't wallow in self pity, though. She goes back to England and spends 3 months slaving away in a tiny diner called The Greasy Spoon. The H re-enters her life after 3 months and they've both been celibate during this time. He has a big problem and he wants her to help him out. Z
Xan had been in an unofficial betrothal to a Greek woman called Sofia, because the latter's father had stated that a marriage to his daughter would make him willing to sell back the H's family island to the H and his dad.
The H had never been in a relationship with Sofia and it turned out, in the end, that she was in love with another man. Xan didn't want to marry Sofia but he also didn't want to lose the chance to regain the family island for his father. He decided that if he appeared to have fallen in love with another woman and married her, then Sofia wouldn't be as embarrassed as she would've been if he had just dumped her. Tamsyn didn't want to marry him until he told her that the marriage would just last for probably 3 months and that she'd be paid for it. The heroine's main concern was long term financial security for herself and she also wanted to have extra money to help her sister out if the latter's marriage to the sheikh didn't work out. Now, I have to say that the second rationale did stump me because there's no way that a sheikh would've left his wife to live in poverty even if he did divorce her ! But then again, Tamsyn wasn't the brightest woman in harlequinland so maybe one needs to just shrug off her minor displays of stupidity.
Anyway, Tamsyn agreed to the marriage of convenience but insisted that there would be no sex. That didn't last for long; in fact, the MC's ended up having sex on the same night they were married ! They spend a passionate 2 week honeymoon together but things turn sour when the H's father makes some nasty comments about Tamsyn and her relatives. The heroine decides to run away after hearing this, but the hero comes to get her back. The epilogue was beautiful though ! It definitely proved that this flighty couple were really in love and they had, by this time, a 3 yr old son called Andreas. Xan had been able to buy back the family's old island from Sofia's father and Sofia was also happily married to the love of her life. I've left out a few important bits about the MC's problems with their respective parents but the resolution of those issues just added to my enjoyment of this story and it all ends on a happy note, as usual:
She drew in a deep breath as she stared up at Xan, her heart suddenly beating very fast. ‘We won’t make the mistakes our own parents did,’ she said unsteadily. ‘No,’ he agreed, his watchful gaze understanding. ‘We’ll make our own. But we’ll try to limit them.’ ‘Yes,’ she agreed as he pulled her into his arms. ‘And we’ll be honest enough to say if we think either of us is stepping out of line.’ He tilted her chin to look directly into her eyes. ‘Because we love each other and we’re completely honest with each other, Tamsyn—and nothing is ever going to change that. Do you understand?’ Clamping her lips together, she nodded. ‘Oh, Xan,’

ARC provided by NetGalley and Harlequin in exchange for an honest review.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Tamsyn, the heroine meets the hero Xan while she's serving him drink and overhears him breaking up with his girlfriend and "accidentally" spills a drink on him. She found him to be arrogant as well as attractive.
Months later at an airport ready to board a private plane with a group of people headed to a wedding, Xan spots the waitress who spilled a drink on him "accidentally". Not a woman he forgot easily and he found her to be very attractive and sexy.
As they are boarding he starts a conversation and brings up the incident. He believes she's hired help for the wedding (his friend is marrying). But in reality Tamsyn is the sister to the bride but let's Xan think otherwise.
The two have a brief fling at the wedding. Xan leaves the next morning. Tamsyn, goes back to waitressing and working a second job. Months later Xan shows up as he's been unable to forget her. Offers her a large amount of money to marry him briefly so he doesn't have to marry the woman he's had an unspoken arrangement with (his family and her's agreed to this marriage decades ago).
Tamsyn agrees, just incase her sisters marriage doesn't work so they'll have a finical cushion (her sister is pregnant). Tamsyn and Xan relationship evolves and has a quick resolution in the end.
Well I found both these character unlikeable!! I couldn't connect with the heroine at all. She came across cold and unlikeable. Xan was shallow and had no depth or growth. The opening and premise of their meeting was silly. Xan's reasoning for the marriage didn't cut it and what he was doing to the young woman he was ditching was cold. Tamsyn needed money as a cushion for her sister, that to me was another silly reasoning and didn't really work for me. The romance was non existent and I found the premise of their relationship to be about the sex. A disappointing read!!!

Lots of good reviews for this one. Thanks, Ivy!
Heroine is sister of the bride from Crowned for the Sheikh's Baby. Hero is a wedding guest at his friend's (Ruler of a made up country) ceremony.
He thinks the heroine is golddigger like her sister. (She is, kinda) But that doesn't stop him from taking her virginity. Or asking her for a marriage of convenience when he wants to get out of an arranged marriage without hurting his betrothed's feelings. Heroine agrees thinking she can use the money if she ever needs to rescue her sister from her husband.
Of course these two crazy kids fall in love along the way.
Heroine was a bit too stridently independent for my taste, but her attitude was about the only conflict in the story, so it was necessary. The sister's story was a bit depressing, though. I guess you have to read her book to be assured of her HEA.

Good marriage of convenience story. I love this trope. Hero needs a wife and heroine needs money so they arrange a fake marriage but they end up falling in love for real. Both hero and heroine were broken and lonely and they found happiness together. Romantic and passionate read. Loved the epilogue with their baby boy.

The Greek's Bought Bride...I struggled to finish this because the heroine was a hard judgemental bitch and the hero was bland like oatmeal without flavor and he was judgemental too. It was the heroine tho who ruined the book...she remained a cold bitch throughout the book only showing what made her that in the last chapter.
I also didn't feel the chemistry...I felt the heroine's cold bitchiness jump off the pages...she was such a shrew! And the hero & heroine didn't spend a lot of time growing emotionally. The hero didn't do cute things to show the heroine he loved her. This book was a cold mess!

The Greek’s Bought Bride by Sharon Kendrick is a ‘one night stand becomes more’ romance for a couple who end up in a marriage of convenience on the way to true love.
Tamsyn Wilson can’t quite believe that her sister is marrying a Sheikh, or that one of the wedding guests is a man she’s met before – when she ‘accidentally’ spilled a drink on him in a restaurant she worked at and subsequently lost her job. Xan Constantinides is a playboy with a reputation that she’d be best to avoid, yet when the wedding party is over, she finds herself in his arms and losing her virginity in a night of sensual passion. In the morning, she is happy to go her own way and departs for home.
Weeks later, Xan turns up on her doorstep with a proposition. He’s been betrothed in a family arrangement for years, but has no interest in his bride-to-be (nor she him). It’s a business arrangement, and he figures if he shows up already married from a whirlwind affair, he’ll be able to spare the woman from embarrassment while still letting the deal, to get a family island back in their possession, go through. He wants Tamsyn to marry him for a quick three month affair, after which she’ll get a large money settlement for her trouble. Tamsyn can’t afford to turn him down and accepts his terms. While she’d like to keep sex off the table, that doesn’t last for long. Will Xan and Tamysn find their marriage inconveniently leading to love after all?

The Greek's Bought Bride by Sharon Kendrick is the story of Tamsyn Wilson and Xan Constantinides.
Xan and Tamsyn shared one night together. Tamsyn left the next morning but now weeks later Xan is at her door wanting her to be in a pretend marriage with him and is offering money for this to happen. Money that Tamsyn needs for her family..so she doesn't have much choice but to do so. But how long does pretend go on before it is real.
Loved reading their story...I am a big fan of Harlequin books!

Ivy H has done a great review .
I haven't read the first one "Crowned for the Sheikh's Baby", so I was a little lost during the first wedding, but soon got involved in Tamsyn's story. The heartbreak she experienced in her short life caused her to build up armor over her heart, but somehow that wasn't enough during her temporary marriage with Xan.

Tamsyn is a girl who just can't keep a job and has so much baggage that it's not funny. She doesn't seem to let anyone in other than her sister but all that changes after one night of passion with Greek billionaire Xan. He ends up buying her as his bride so he can buy back the land that belonged to his ancestors and not marry the lady he was promised to year ago. She gets lots of money out of it. Win-win for everyone right? Nope! Or is it....
This was such a sweet little novel, I really liked Xan and Tamsyn, I thought they were cute once they started to finally open up to each other. They both have some serious issues that I hope they work on but no one is perfect. All in all, if you're looking for a quick, hot read; this one is for you!

Not as good as the related Crowned for the Sheik's Baby. The heroine from that story and the one from this are sisters.
Again, liked the heroine. The hero's about face seems a bit abrupt, wasn't well explained and the author focuses too much on the heroine's nipples in the first third of the book. Other than that, better than the average romance novel but not great.

Xan is often times surprised by his woman, ‘you suppose so?’ he echoed, stepping forward to tilt her chin upwards with his finger. ‘I don’t think I’ve ever been da*ned with so much faint praise.’ There are times Xan speaks before he thinks, ‘Tamsyn, you could wear sackcloth and I’d still want to rip it from your body. I’m just not sure what has prompted this sudden transformation.’ I liked this book, I grew to like Xan.

Tamsyn first meets Xan when she served him a drink while he was breaking up with the requisite blonde that seem to be a staple with these Greek billionaires. In a moment of solidarity, she spills his drink on him. Cue a few months, and they both are on a private flight to some desert Kingdom for a royal wedding. Xan assumes Tamsyn is heading there to work, when she is actually the sister of the bride. So, lots of assumptions on both sides here, but the chemistry between them that's off the charts!
I have to say that I enjoyed this a whole lot more than the first book about Hannah and Kulal. Perhaps Miss Kendrick writes a better Greek billionaire than a desert king? There was an element of believablility with these main characters which did not exist in the first book. The banter between Xan and Tamsyn made me smile. Despite Xan somewhat jaded view on love and relationships, he cared for Tamsyn and was her ally. I liked this hero.
Overall, a great read.

Alexandros “Xan” Constantinides is a man who’s very observant. He seems to have an attitude about people that are socially below him. He’s one arrogant S.O.B. Tamsyn Wilson is on her way to a celebration. Something I loved about Tamsyn was how she turned Xan’s attitude around onto him. The author did such a great job with that scene that I could almost here her talking in my head. One thing she didn’t seem to have was luck.
Xan’s attitude just had a habit of rubbing me the wrong way. He seems so cynical especially when it comes to women. And that couldn’t have been more evident that after one of their conversations. Do you like stories where the main characters appear to hate/not like each other? Do you like stories where marriage becomes a necessity? Maybe you just like the Harlequin imprint. Maybe you’re already following the Conveniently Wed! Series.
I love books where I get to be transported somewhere else. It’s not required that I get in my car and drive somewhere. I don’t need to take a boat or a plane and I can even wear my pajamas if I so choose. All I really need, besides the book obviously, is a comfortable seat. One disappointment I did have here was in not having read Tamsyn’s sister’s story first. You don’t need to have read it first but I feel it will give you some idea as to how the beginning of this story comes to be. And to let you know, it’s not part of this series but the One Night With Consequences. I’ll let you figure out how much I liked this story with the fact that it took me a few hours to figure out what book belonged to Hannah Wilson.
Summer is coming to an end so you may find yourself getting busy or getting ready to go on vacation. You may be a bookaholic like me and look forward to your next read. But you need something that’s either not too long or isn’t going to take you all day to read. Once I got into this story, it only took me a couple of hours to get from beginning to end. The only issue I had is I started it on one day but stupid me started it more toward the end of the day. So I had to put it down and then pick it back up the next day. Once I got back into what was going on between our main characters I couldn’t put it down or bother with whatever program was on TV – and thank goodness my phone didn’t ring.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Dua bersaudara, Hannah Wilson dan Tamsyn Wilson. Satu ibu, beda ayah.
Tamsyn Wilson hanya dipandang sebelah mata.
Xan Constantinides memandang Tamsyn sebelah mata. Xan mengganggap apapun bisa di beli. Termasuk wanita.
Masa lalu terkuak perlahan.
Cukuplah aku kasih bintang 3 hehehe
Pinjam di Gramedia Digital.
Terjemahannya secara garis besar sih udh rapih.

The Greek's Bought Bride is by far my favorite from Sharon Kendrick! From the very beginning Kendrick exceptionally portrayed Xan's desire for Tamsyn. Intesnse moments of passion and sexual tension throughout the story. Tamsyn is smart and witty, a hard worker, even though she is misunderstood. I wasn't happy with how Tamsyn ran from her husband and didn't at least explain herself. Xan is a smoldering hot Greek! His only fault was the way he answered some of Tamsyn's concerns. He felt very cold at times, it seemed as if his only concern was bedding her. The story suffered from being a bit rushed towards the end. Overall this would be a good weekend read.

This book was very of its type for a Harlequin presents but it was also very sad. Tamsyn has been emotionally abused by the world like most children in the foster system and can't trust Xan. The resolution happens so quickly like they do in these novellas but I feel like this story would be really well suited to a longer format romance to really flesh out the relationship and healing done. Deep emotional work is not where these shorter romances shine and I think this story deserves that. Overall I still enjoyed it.

I read this book a while back and am trying to remember bits and pieces. It was a good read which I thoroughly enjoyed. The heroine Tamsyn has messed up most of her life and her sister has normally bailed her out and she doesn't want her doing that now. The hero is Greek Billionair Xan and he needs a bride of convenience. The angst and the love are great as you can feel what she is going through. Sharon Kendrick does not disappoint.

**ARC provided by NetGalley and Harlequin in exchange for an honest review.**
Sharon Kendrick is usually one of my Harlequin Romance "must read authors" but unfortunately this book didn't do it for me. Everything from the first meeting of the main characters to the convoluted wacky story line was off.

This was a good story it is a stand alone but if you read Tamsyn’s sister Hallies story some of the story line intertwines. Tamsyn met Xan at her sister’s wedding and the two of them had some major chemistry. Neither of them want marriage! However when circumstances come up that leave Xan in a fix. Marriage is the answer! Great to watch these two!

The Greek's Bought Bride
They were on the same flight going to a royal wedding. He had a small run in with her several !months earlier. He assumed she was once again the hired help. But as the sister of the bride her role was higher than he gave her credit for. Their affair ends with a marriage of convenience. But will it stay that way when all is said and done?

This book I also read in Dutch, "Grieks en verleidelijk". Sacrificing yourself for a family member or sister is something I can relate to. This is what Tamsyn does for her sister. The only problem is that her character is being questioned by doing this. The book is predictable and Sharon Kendrick did not make a lasting impression on me.

Xan Constantinides is your typical Greek alpha male and he has met his match in Tamsyn, the feisty, blunt speaking redhead! A marriage of convenience plot with plenty of chemistry between the H and h. Some dark hidden childhood secrets. A delightful epilogue.
