How to Seduce a Vampire

When Watanabe gathers up Mizuo's battered and bloodstained body, he's forced to cooperate with the ensuing blood transfusion -- and for his trouble was late for his part-time job, resulting in his termination. The mysterious Mizuo tells the now unemployed Watanabe that he is a vampire, and offers Watanabe a position at his salon. Despite his feeling that Mizuo is a potentially dangerous partner, Watanabe cannot bear to be away from him.

Feels unfinished and suddenly shifts to a different Manga at the end.

I found this manga while searching for something completely different on line. I don't usually just buy random manga, but I did and this was well worth it. The artwork is fabulous and beautifully drawn, and I found the characters very engaging.

There a five different stories in this volume; the first three are interconnected, with two set in the modern period, and one in the past which goes a long way to explaining character motivations.

The fourth story is a historical stand-alone, featuring two rather pretty and engaging characters; a Shogun and a ronin (a masterless samurai). They don't see eye-to-eye to begin with, but you know how the story goes... ;)

The fifth story is okay but a bit out of left field, about two cosplayers. I felt it didn't quite fit with the rest of the volume's stories, but was amusing nontheless.

All in all, fabulous artwork, engaging storytelling, and hot, sexy, characters that I totally enjoyed getting to know. I was sad when I was done the volume, because I beleive the mangaka is on hiatus at the moment. I'd like to track down more of her work simply because the art is so gorgeous. It's not explicit as in NC-17 rated, but it's explicit enough to be satisfying. I'll be reading this one again.

I love vampire stories. The title hooked me in and I was soooo disappointed. First off there are five stories the first one is called how to seduce a vampire, except it was how to seduce a future demon slayer. I could handle the vampire being a barber but, there was no zing, no pow, noooo caring. There I said it. I could give a rats ass about the first 3 stories.

Now the last two are the saving grace: Tiger & Dragon and Strobe Lights. There is no rhyme or reason why these stories are mishmashed together I mean Strobe Lights is about cosplay events and Tiger is about a wild man saving a shogun and smexing him whole heartily but these where the two best-est stories in the book.

I bought it, I'm eh with it but I'll keep it.

I didn't finish it. I didn't see the point because the title story doesn't even have an ending. it just stops and a new story begins which just stops and is followed by another story...

Even without this unusual way of handling the stories, the mangaka couldn't pull me in, not with the characters nor with the storylines, which were confusing and left too many questions (obviously).
The (character) artwork was quite bland too and it was hard to "read" the scenes without getting confused about what is happening and who is who.

I'm glad I only paid about 80 cent for this...

The story had potential, but we dont see an end. I was reading and thinking " well maybe this is explained after..", then i continued reading and there was no explanation, worst the mangaka started another story and after that another and so on...and all of them dont make sense. The manga seems missing something and is a pity bcs i had started to enjoy the 1st story.
