Blood in the Sand

Rate this book
Having been born in the Middle East and raised among Arabs, Christians, and Jews, Pastor Benny Hinn has a truly unique perspective on the Middle East. For this reason Christians with a sincere desire to understand the roots of the conflict have questioned him for years, prompting him to publish this timely book on the subject. Blood in the Sand takes readers on a journey in time from Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael to the critical situation we currently face as citizens of the world. Along the way, Pastor Benny shares personal memories of growing up in the region, scriptural prophecies pertaining to the current crisis, and his own heart regarding what he believes is on the horizon.

Blood In The Sand written by Benny Hinn is an amazing book! It is like a first hand story of the conflicts between Arab and the Israeli. This is also a really interesting book because there is a lot of action and this book is in first person which puts you behind the persons point of view. Also this book is a documentary so everything in this book has happened. I really like this book because it tells you everything about how they got into conflicts and how brutal the violence was. For example how the Israelis would have to go to an underground place to live to protect themselves from night raids. In these underground protection there were playgrounds a climbing walls and etc. just to keep kids in a comfort zone and that they were out of danger. After the author written this is also said that being in this reminded him of the time where his father had to put black shades up so that airplanes could not see them at night to prevent themselves from being bombed. During this time there were many time that brought back bad memories but he still had to courage to see this war first hand. I am also really inspired by this book because it taught me the courage people have to show what is happening in other parts of the country and to help the one that are in new and not to take things for granted. I have learned a lot from this book like the value all the things and to help others that are in need.

Interesting reading in trying to figure out the mess in Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Israel. STILL do not know the difference between Shiite's, Sunni's & others. I read this stuff because I take an interest, but I don't know about his interpretations of the bible in relation to what is going on now. My take is anyone's view is different. He says Israel WILL be going back to the Jews & there WILL be an awful battle (when isn't there?) & if anybody bombs Iraq, Russia will help defend them & once U.S. withdraws everybody from Afghanistan & everywhere, U.S. will no longer be a super power ever again. hmmm.... I figure that horrible things will continue to happen & there will probably be a world war to end all world wars, but there's alot of stuff I don't see nor really believe in what he says. All in all, interesting.

I am half way through this one. Pastor Benny has an excellent grasp of issues in the Middle East. He lived there and knows some high ranking politicians in Israel. His view of the situation is in line with Pentecostal Eschatology and I quite I agree with him. He is not ambigous about who own/should own the land currently occupied by Israel.

For anyone with little knowledge of Middle Eastern politics/religious situations this is a really clear explanation of how it all fits together. Along with interesting anecdotes and reflections from his own life, Hinn delineates the reasons behind the volatile situation in this part of the world.

Personally I have been on a journey to understand what different faiths are all about and why there has there been always a fight. Benny Hinn explains everything so well and it's worth reading if you are a Jew, Muslim or a Christian or anyone who's just curious.
