This is a cute version for younger kids. The words are big and the illustrations are colorful. I would read this one to my little one at bedtime. It is a board book so he would be able to help turn the pages easily.

Mom and Dad pigs wave goodbye to the three pigs who were "curious and eager to learn more about the big wide world." They enjoyed all kinds of fun activities with friends. A Seasonal change made them realize they need to build a home. Then they could visit each other. The first pig got straw from a nearby field. The other two say it might not be strong enough. The second pig builds his stick house and brother says it might not be strong enough. The third pig looks for material "better than sticks" and finds bricks from a tumbledown building. Each wiped their brow "with satisfaction". The other two weren't sure the third brother's house was worth all that effort. The three pigs had time to play and discovered wolf tracks and went home to lock their doors. The first pig runs to his brother's house after his straw house is blown away. The two pigs finally run to the brick house for safety. The wolf could not blown down the brick house and comes down the chimney. However, his tail gets caught in the fire. The wolf runs away and has never been seen since. It is an interesting story to compare to the original. Highly recommended for Grades K-2.

Classic tale of how slow, careful, and thoughtful hard work pays off in the end, so much more so than unplanned, quick and easy action. Not much new in this version, except that the brothers are very close to one another.
This book is a fable that could be read with Kindergarten to third grade. One unique feature about this book is that it is written in English and Spanish, so the audience for the book is wider.
My daughter loves this story so we've tried a few versions. This one is alright but a bit boring. The illustration of the wolf also makes him look enormous, bigger than the houses
This is part of EL Achieve's K Visual and Performing Arts Unit. It is not my favorite retelling of this story, but it is sufficient. It is very accessible. The illustrations are cute The Story lacks some of the depth I would prefer. The students enjoyed it though.
The three little pigs is a great book to read and teach young children. It is about 3 pigs who build houses using different materials. Along comes the big bad wolf and blows their houses down. The only house the wolf can not blow down is the house that is made out of bricks.
This book is great for young children in early years to act out. It developes their socila and language skills through acting. Additionally, children lear about differnt materials whare things made out of straw and sticks can fall down where as things made out of bricks its hard to fall down because its hard. This can link into science/Understandng of the worls which is talking about materials and maths as it can link to hard soft. Additionally,it helps children to develop personal, social, emotional development as children can talk about feelings such as how would you feel if your house fell down and treating one another. I think it is a great way for children to use their creative skills, as children can build their own houses using sticks, bricks and straw.
Overall, I reccomend this story to teach early years as it covers all areas of learning and development in the Foundation stage and it encourages children to make their learning fun in a creative way.
This version of the three little pigs is retold by Patricia Seibert and illustrated by Horacio Elena. This seemed like a good version of the tale for small children, as the author kept the text fairly simple, and the illustrations represented exactly what was happening in the text, with the addition of smaller animals in most scenes, such as birds and mice, who also react to the action of the story. The retelling strayed slightly from the original version in that the wolf does not die in the end, but runs away with a burned tale. The illustrations are muted, yet colorful (drawings colored with watercolor I believe) and portray a much more cheerful version of the tale than other versions one might come across, especially considering the comical presentation of the wolf.
Nice retelling of the classic three little pigs with updated illustrations. This rendition tells the story like the original. The illustrations are updated and clever. When the wolf blows down the houses the pigs hold onto the edge of the page. Also, each of the pigs has a little helper.

The Three Little Pigs is a good book for young readers. This book contains words that would be easy for beginner readers to figure out. The pictures are also very helpful, colorful, and amusing! I would recommend this book to young readers especially, but also for parents whom love to read to their children! The moral of the story is that no one should be too confident when it comes to being safe!
From childhood this story is one of the most popular ones ever written. It's been told many different ways but it's likely the easiest to remember as well. I enjoy the cuteness of this story. Great book to keep around.
We would mostly enjoy the book by replicating our houses in the art center. Even though we could dress up like pigs or wolves it could create rowdyness within in the groups.
This story would be good to use for younger children to use there imagination. I would ask the children what could happen next or how would they have happen during the story. This story is a good step by step story for children to predict what comes ahead.
This book is unique in that it is written in English and Spanish. Those English speaking students can be introduced to a new language and ESL learners can use this book to better their English. This classic tale is a great way to bring together multicultural students.
This classic story would be used in my classroom as way to help students understand the different parts of a story. The beginning, middle, and end of the story is something that students can easily identify and recall.
All 3 pigs built a house bad wolf said, "let me in before I blow your house down." Wolf blew house down One pig went to next brother's house Wolf blew more houses down, but couldn't blow the last house down.
Such a classic tail of the three little pigs. One of my favorite books when I was young and still one of the best. I'm glad my kids enjoyed it just as much ad I did.
This is the classic story of The Three Little Pigs that all children know and love. I plan to use this book in a class next week as I teach the children to compare and contrast two stories.
