Extraordinary Healing : Transforming Your Consciousness, Your Energy System, and Your Life

Rate this book
Extraordinary Healing is two books in one. It is first a book of healing wisdom that has been called "poetic and spiritual". It is also a guidebook combining deep inner healing or hypnotherapy with a new genre that heals by tapping the energy meridians, called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Easy to read and filled with many techniques and healing stories, it's both a practical and beautiful book. This is a book not only for professionals--but also for anyone on the path of healing. It draws from many spiritual yoga philosophy, metaphysical healing, ancient and contemporary healing practices. There is an entire self-healing section, as well as a complete manual for working with others. The book is panoramic in its scope, exploring root causes of our difficulties and transcendent approaches for healing the soul. It is the culmination of many years of exploration and practice, and the transformational stories are riveting. Profound and filled with love, this is a remarkable book. Whether you are a practitioner or someone who wishes to explore and heal the difficulties of life, there is something here for you. Find out how to work with traumas, relationships, fears, pains, insecurities, and more. Look at past lives, womb and birth issues, present experiences, future possibilities, and much more. Heal from the essence of the soul on all levels of consciousness.

Extraordinary Healing is another great guide created by Marilyn Gordon. The book is full of practical and effective techniques for healing and spiritual growth. Marilyn has the gift of being able to present concepts in a simple and direct way ----so that everyone can understand. I love the examples that Marilyn uses throughout the book. It is truly inspiring to know that we have these tools at our fingertips!

The techniques in this book can be learned and used (easily). I am the first to admit that I’ve had to wade through other books and have known that I couldn’t possibly do the things they recommend. This is not true of Marilyn’s Extraordinary Healing, I was able to implement everything right away. This is one of those books that will be nearby at all times. I highly recommend this book, it can help change your life!

This is a pretty comprehensive guide to the systems in the body and the interactions (no photos though). It covers physical, emotional, and spiritual elements. I think this is a great beginning guide for someone just starting out in their journey. It has great stories of recoveries (including Louise Hay), helpful suggestions to a variety of illnesses and some very good exercises.

It doesn't offer anything super incredible though which is what prevents this from getting a 4.

This was good, but seemed aimed more at someone who would use this technique for clients. I have heard of EFT and was interested in reconnecting with the process, it took a great deal of time to get to the process of EFT. The author referred to the 'tapping' (part of EFT) many times prior to actually describing the process.

This book had some great "nuggets" in the beginning chapters, but it was a little "out there" for me - apparently tapping on certain parts of your body while saying positive sayings can heal you? I had a hard time with it, and the book seemed to jump all over the place and I ended up confused.
