Nick and Sue (the authors) have written a book in which they have inserted young versions of themselves into a world of half soft lines (Sue's art) and hard lines (Nick's art) attempting to demonstrate the concept of opposites to young children through clumsy rhyming.

For some reason, my son loved this book and a funny thing happens when a parent has to read the same book twice a day for weeks unending; you start to overanalyse everything. And all in good fun, we just wanted to point out that while Nick and Sue are not together irl, Sue has dedicated the book to her son "Nick H.". And that's all we'll say on the subject.
