August days are hot and the pool is the place to be. But not for Alice who's afraid of deep water--and afraid to admit it. Her friends begin to conquer their fears: Elizabeth overcomes her aversion to kissing; Pamela trades a secure boyfriend for a not-so-sure one. Everybody expects Alice to learn to swim. What's she to do? Others in the series include Alice in April and Alice in Between.
A great German dictionary, not heavy and still holds everything. Contains a grammar section as well as super helpful appendices. Great for any German learner.
I admit that I never got a grasp on German (Deutsch) to be able to properly assess how good of a dictionary this is, so I have to grade accordingly.
One complaint, which is pretty major: lowercase AND uppercase "i" looks a LOT like lowercase "l", to the point where I can't tell if it's "Heilsarmee" or "Hellsarmee" for "Salvation Army" (and, also, that seems like a curious thing to include, but okay). I mean, spellcheck thinks it's Heilsarmee, but Hellsarmee would be kind of funny, haha.
Recommended in a pinch, otherwise maybe get a cleaner printing.
It's a dictionary, so there's not much that can be said about it as a review. [return]The layout is acceptable and considering I'm most likely using it to verify my own knowledge, I can't really call it out on any errors.
