Nancy Price - Biography: J.K. Rowling by William Compson

Ever wonder where J.K. Rowling got the ideas for the Harry Potter novels? Then this is definitely the biography to read. The book tells us all about the life of J.K. Rowling from the time she was a little girl attending grade school up to how she became one of the most known young adult writers. The author used many quotes from Rowling in his writing. He tells us how she originally came up with the idea for Harry Potter on a train and had to wait until she got home to write it all down. We also learn that Rowling prefers to hand write her material first and type it later. Many of the characters is her novels resemble people she had known during her life. She may not have known it at the time but many of the adventures that Harry, Ron, and Hermione encounter were inspired by people and events from her past. I found this to be a very interesting book and would recommend it to any Harry Potter fan.

Strong 6 out of 10

Pretty enjoyable book. I liked learning about the author behind the Harry Potter series. It was interesting to learn about how she came up with her ideas and other things like that. The writing in this book occasionally felt a little pointless, and I think it could do with some cutting, but still, I enjoyed learning more about the person who made one of my favorite fantasy series.

I enjoyed this biography on J.K. Rowling. I enjoyed learning what inspired her to write certain pieces of the story. I also enjoyed learning where she came up with the names of her characters.
This story was an interesting read that really shed some light on author J.K. Rowling. I liked knowing that she had always wanted to be a writer. I liked learning that she did struggle, but did all she could to bring herself to the top of her game.
I would recommend this read to anyone that enjoys reading about what made this author tick!

I read JK Rowling by William Compson. The star of the biography was JK Rowling. It was set in all of the places JK lived. This was a non-fiction book in which William Compson described the life of JK Rowling in great detail. In this book, Compson describes the life of Rowling in a great way. For example, he describes every moment in detail. He also describes the feelings Rowling feels. I rated this book 5 stars out of 5 stars. I rated it this because Compson described everything well.
