A nice mish-mash of magazine editorials all in one place. A great 'flick through' book. Of course with Oprah's name on the cover the efforts of all were well arranged and included vast topics.
This book was a grouping of feature magazine articles that were turned into a book. Even though the book has been around for a few years the majority of the articles are still relevant. I enjoyed some articles but skipped over others because they were either boring or just not interesting or anything I could really relate to. I enjoyed the articles of writers personal stories as well as some of the interviews. The financial stuff was geared to the USA so some things didn't translate for Canada. The articles I didn't really like were the charity case stories. Oprah is an advocate for helping the poor in Africa and hats off to her for doing good but there was like three articles on it and I found that redundant. I read one but skipped over the other two. I was expecting variety. If your looking for something more than a traditional magazine and enjoy Oprah's brand, this is your book. It will keep you engaged for a while with all of the articles and there is no need to flip through pages of advertisements like in a magazine.
Some articles of interest to flip through-- on decluttering (your house is not a museum for dead relatives), on identifying the narcissistic/echo dyad in friendships and sibling registries for sperm donor children.
Excellent coffee table book, contains feature articles from Oprahs O magazine mainly around the theme of inspiration and life improvement. Interesting read, rather like flipping through a magazine. Many themes included, something to appeal to nearly anyone.
