Imagine, you are lounging on your couch, sipping coffee, and suddenly from nowhere a naked corpse of a woman appears in front of you. You get rid of the corpse somehow, without informing the police, but a few days later, you meet the same woman, alive and thriving.
This is exactly what happens to Rehan.
There is a serial killer on the loose with the means to dump his victims across time and space. Rehan makes saving the woman and catching the killer his mission. What's more, the police have an inkling that he is involved in the case somehow.

Another murder mystery down. Here is a story of a serial killer, time travel and romance. The story moves around Rehan trying to save a girl. The book is full of si-fi elements and explanations. The story drops subtle hints about the end throughout and that makes the book interesting.

As like usual time travel stories, this book also leaves certain things as unexplained at the end. This book is definitely a page turner. You can not resist the story once you start reading it and that is why it is a quick read. Written in a simple, understandable language, this book picks up the pace fast. The scenes are not overstreched but there were certain elements which I felt were unnecessary for the story and the story could do without them. I felt the story connects to the title only at the end. Overall I liked the story which is devoid of repeatations and engages the reader. The cover depicts a lot of things and is designed beautifully. This book was quite different from authors previous book I read - Gods are still alive which was a sort of fantasy fiction. Good to see different styles the author is exploring. I felt this is more of his style. A go to read, if you are a beginner - do give it a try.

The book is an baffling, interesting read.
The book starts with a shocking incident, as Rehan, our MMC is having an evening tea, but suddenly there's a girl's corpse appears out of nowhere in front of him. The girl has been tortured brutally and then killed. But he knows no one will believe him that the corpse appear out of nowhere, so he decides to hide it himself. But after this many weird things starts to happen with him, he starts to hear a woman's crackle, his reflection in mirror is not synchronized with him one time and many more.
When he's facing all these, suddenly he meets the dead girl, alive, works in the same building, in the same floor with him. And Rehan finally decides to solve this puzzle himself.
The book is very intriguing and also confusing. But this 230 pages of book has perfect amount of mystery, suspense woven in sci-fi setting, as well as romance.
The writing is smooth, the plot with serial killer, murder mystery, time travel Rehan's fight to uncover the truth, the mystery, grips me till the end. There's also some conversations about life and existence, etc makes you think deeply too. The book is overall very fast paced and engaging ,I finish it in two sittings.
So definitely a book I would recommend if you love sci-fi with murder mystery.

Intriguing story about murder in a time travel premise. Was a short book and could keep me hooked. However, it lacked depth and ingenuity and the author could’ve explored these topics even more. There could have been so many perspectives and angles that would’ve made this even more interesting. Can be skipped.

13 Minutes Before Midnights stands as Abhaidev’s sixth work of fiction. The author’s zeal for science fiction and existential philosophy reflects through this novel. Rehan was lying on his couch, sipping coffee when a desecrated naked corpse of a woman unknown to him appears out of thin air. Shocked by this, he inspects her body curiously only to find that she has been raped. Understanding that approaching police will be a futile exercise, he cuts her body into several pieces and throws her carcass in a nearby pond. Soon, Rehan experiences a vivid hallucinations of an evil woman cackling, his bed shaking wildly and such. He becomes haunted with the image of this unknown woman who he had cut into pieces. A few days later, he discovers that the same woman, which now has a name, Shanaya, has joined his office and is now his colleague. The novel follows Rehan’s journey of being a saviour to Shanaya and how this journey changes his life.
Abhaidev does an impressive job in fleshing out Rehan’s suffering as he anxiously strives to save Shanaya from her terrible fate. He wonders the causal principle behind the events that have occurred and asks the question to himself, and in turn the reader: Does anything mean anything at all? The book also delves into moral aspect of being a good Samaritan. Plight of Rehan begins when he tries to save Shanaya from her death , a fate certain to all humans and in doing so, gets consumed in a storm which he could not escape.
The novel utilizes literary devices in science fiction such as time travel and space-time continuum for facilitation and furtherance of the plot. The novel makes a vain attempt to explain the mechanics behind the time travel but the effort does not end at a decisive note leaving the reader puzzled about how the travel across space and time actually works. The novel deals with theme of existentialism and how man’s search for meaning rarely leads to fruition. Rehan, along with us, tries to make sense of it all. Why did Shanaya’s corpse appear in his room alone? What was this sick criminal’s intent behind raping Shanaya? He looks at these events imbued with some meaning unknown to him. However, the climax reveals us that the time gun has an anomaly and opens a portal in space time randomly
We witness author’s knack in intriguing his audience with puzzling mysteries such as : What was the identity of this secret killer? Why did Shanaya’s corpse appear in his room alone? What was this sick criminal’s intent behind raping Shanaya? From a reader’s POV, answering the first two questions is rather child’s play. The chapter where Aarav is introduced in the novel,he suggests that the culprit could be working closely with the police force. A serial killer sick enough to commit such heinous crimes would certainly find acts such as giving clues to the investing police officers amusing. Moreover, Aarav was working in forensic department on two different murders related to the same case. Thus, he had multiple ways to monitor the progress of police investigation and be one step ahead of them.
Trauma and sexual deviancy also plays out as a central theme in the story. Shanaya’s entry in Rehan’s life serves as a grave incident which incites trauma in his ordinary life. Similarly, Shanaya too suffers from severe depression and has been on medication for the last two years. It has been indicated that her ex-boyfriends kinks of BDSM triggered this depression. Additionally, it also explores how childhood trauma can be exacerbated into deviant sexual fantasies. For instance, the mother of the killer duo leaves their father for another woman which triggers their father’s descent into madness. This bitter experience in childhood festers into harbouring deviant hatred for the bisexual women and rough sexual fantasies. Similarly, childhood trauma of Vivek Karmakar makes him reluctant of raising a child.
This book serves to be a breath of fresh air as this is quite a delightful read in it’s entirety and opens into possibility of an Indian author treading his path in science fiction genre. A path most exciting and least explored!

book very interesting to read. The travel of the story along space and time with suspenseful
thrilling plots lets the person reading into a rollercoaster of emotions.
The story revolves around a modern citizen Rehan Ahuja who finds himself in great trouble
when he sees a corpse of some unknown women at his home out of no where. The other main
characters who can be seen in the story are; Shanaya the girl whom Rehan finds as a corpse at his
home and for whom he is falling gradually, Inspector Vivek Karmakar who is in charge of
solving the mysterious case of rape and the culprits who are behind the death of these women.
The story tells how Rehan tries the save the life of the women he loves when he knows the
dangers lying beneath his process to secure her life. We can get to experience how a common
individual under goes character development amidst his mental health after his engagement with
a breath taking experience and how he reacts to the suspense that comes his way.
This short story encompass themes of fate, determination and also the consequences of once
choice in their life which could be understood by us while seeing how the main character of the
story is on an endless run with contradiction to time. The book also engages on people’s mind-set
between the thought that everything is predetermined and that our life is consequence of our own

Well There's something about Abhaidev’s novel you just can't keep calm unless you finish it. Is it because of beautiful writing style, or proper handling of emotions, or detailed characters or something else, I don't know. But it is intriguing for sure. This story was almost like watching a movie. Every scene was running inside my mind. The author's writing skill was the obvious reason behind this.
We all are very much familiar to the popular line,"The first impression is the last impression"- the cover page. It gives me the true feelings of the line. The cover page is very much attractive and eye pleasing and the title gives you a hint about the summery of the book. Firstly I was curious because of the title, so i picked this out then I fell in love with this book just after reading the first few lines and it turned out to be such a great and wonderful read.This book got me hooked right from start and you just can't stop reading it unless you have finished it.
It is a suspenseful story with an intense plot.

13 minutes before Midnight is the story of Rehan. One fine day, when he is sipping his coffee, from nowhere a naked corpse of a woman lands in front of him. He gets rid of the body somehow but a few days later, you meet the same woman, alive. Soon he realises that there is a serial killer on the loose with the means to dump his victims across time and space. Rehan takes it upon himself to clear his name and catch the killer. Will he be able to catch the killer in a race against time?
As a sci-fi thriller, 13 minutes before Midnight combines the best of both genres. Not only does it have the mystery of a serial killer on the loose but it also has a sci-fi element as a key ingredient. The story is intense right from the start and keeps you hooked right to the end. The plot is one of the most unique plots I have read and it was really amazing how it kept on getting engaging with every chapter. The story has some unique twists that keep on coming one after another. The story is fast-paced and focused on the mystery till the end.

It is a very very good story. Without revealing much about the plot I would say that the author writes with a command. Here in the story a man try to saves a woman who already died, from a serial killer.

The book blew me away for several reasons, firstly the book has a sweet back cover and the opening is really quirky and adorable. And just reading the index will tell you how lovely and fancy the book is going to be. A poignant emotion will be evoked and the beautiful description of the poignant language at every moment is capable of creating a situation in which any reader becomes enthralled.
This book not only keep you hooked till the last page, but also force you towards deep thinking. The concept of the book is interesting, engaging and unique. The way the author created the plots of the story is just amazing. The story and the narration is really fast paced. And the storytelling style is really amazing and it can make the readers totally engaged with the book.

🖊️I can honestly say this is the TENSEST, MOST NERVE-BENDING, CREEPIEST horror/dark story I’ve recently read! I chuckled a lot and mostly gave my loudest hysterical scream! Things get out of control and escalate to a new level of shitcraziness! You tell yourself "there's no freaking way it can happen,” but eventually things happen beyond your imagination, and so many jaw-dropping, shocking moments later, you let your screams be so loud! (I don’t recommend you read this book in public places to avoid getting too much unnecessary attention.)
🖊️Rehan is the main character of our story. One evening he is sitting on a recliner in his house drinking coffee when suddenly the dead body of a woman appears in front of his eyes with blood all over the floor. He did not know what to do at that time and tried to hide the dead body without anyone knowing it. And he hid it.What happens after this is the twist in the story.
🖊️I won't say anything more about the plot of this novel, as I definitely recommend going into it knowing as little as possible. I didn't really know what it involved when I started, and I'm so glad.
🖊️It was incredibly well-told with compelling characters, a deep thriller with fear issues and themes explored, as well as toe-curling imagery. This played off all of my childhood fears, and let's be honest, there are things I am still afraid of today, even as an adult.
Highly, highly recommend this beautiful book.

I was totally hooked by the synopsis of this book and was confident that this would be a good read and it indeed is. Definitely a perfect read for crime thrillers.
The whole plot was narrated beautifully. There wasn’t a single boring scene . The flow of the story is so good and keeps you hooked in. Every chapter leaves you with the curiosity of what would happen next and leaves you with a question mark.
The way all subtle hints were given throughout the book about the ending were good and interesting. You just can’t stop reading it once you’ve started it. It definitely is that kind of a story. The concept and description of the story is done so well. Every other chapter grabbed my attention in some or the other way. They just kept me guessing and guessing and kept me totally engaged with the story. I loved it so much.
And as it is written in the book, people don’t read books just to learn the truth. They read it for fun and to escape the world. And this book is has it all in it. It would just have you so hooked up.
The character sketch is beautiful. The way a character thinks and reacts to an action is so beautifully written. We could feel every other emotion that the character feels. Definitely left a mark on me.
This book is a perfect combo of crime thriller with science fiction. But as every science fiction this also leaves you with certain unexplained things.

13 Minutes Before Midnight is murder mystery book written by by ABHAIDEV . This book is the perfect mixture of muder mystery & thriller. I didn't stop myself till i reach to the last page. The book is filled with eccentric and colorful characters, each adding to the absurdity of the story. The story Rotates around the person in particular Rehan, who was partaking in his espresso in his own room. Sadly, he will see a dead lady and dread was running somewhere down in his body after this episode. Some way or another, he disposed of that body without illuminating the police and kept carrying on with his life typically. As some time elapsed, he began disregarding that occurrence.
The book consists of 126 pages and 10 Chapters . A unique way of index is shown by the author. I really enjoyed this insightful book. It is so clearly and logically organised as well as being extremely readable. I have no authority to call the book bad. The author's choice of language, the specification of the language, the consonance of the language, everything has been shown to be skillful.
