That's the summary posted under the Product Description on Amazon.

This book is definitely worth reading along with Katz's other two books. I'd suggest reading one of her earlier books before reading Freeing the Genie.

Sadly, not enough people will embrace let alone try the techniques and tools presented in her books.
Why? Because too many people are trapped by 'resistance'. That's her term to explain why an open mind becomes closed. Damn pity. I've begun to use these tools. They work. They prove themselves out.

Sadly, the world today, for the most part' will look much as it did yesterday. And tomorrow will look much like today.

"Boring damned people. All over the earth. Propagating more boring damned people. What a horror show. The earth swarmed with them."
— Charles Bukowski

Yet, all hope is not lost. Read the book. With an open mind, choose one or two things to work with. Do so with intent. Give it time. See what happens.

The last few chapters are different in tone and texture. Katz summarizes and rants at times about the zeitgeist we all find ourselves in. A very sharp and succinct look at the world around us: home owners underwater, millions of Americans falling behind financially, selling out our souls and happiness for a paycheck, and my favorite, how corporations have gotten into our minds and our childrens' minds.

Yes, it seems that the American Dream/American Nightmare can't exist without it's loyal flock of sheeple.
For most, there seems to be no escape, no alternative, no way out.

Perhaps Freeing the Genie within offers some options to that scenario.

It does.

a btw... I read the Kindle edition. It does have some formatting issues. Annoying but not a deal breaker. I'll tolerate that since I find it convenient to use the highlight and note features in the Kindle app. I've created my own index of exercises, tools, and other references throughout the book. Much more convenient to scroll on my macBook than to thumb through hundreds of pages with highlights and notes written in the margin.

My own experience reveals that manifesting goals through visualization can indeed be sucessful. This book is very helpful to the reader that wants more in life and needs some instruction on how to get it with the help of the Universe. I enjoyed it very much.

I loved the majority of this book. It took the concept of the law of attraction and made it realistic.

While I still think the majority of this book is amazing, the end was too preachy. She lost me at chapter 17 and never recaptured my interest. It’s unfortunate when a book is amazing only to end extremely lackluster. I think the majority of the book is well worth buying. I’d personally skip chapters 13, 17, and 18. The

Overall, the approach is interesting. It takes the law of attraction and gives you more practical advice than any other book I’ve come across yet. I’d still recommend it, just be wary of those few chapters.

This book is a treasure chest of truths—brilliantly written, immediately accessible, and alive with potential. Debra Lynne Katz distills profound, simple-to-understand, actionable techniques anyone can apply, whether navigating the visible world or exploring the unseen. Finding a guide that seamlessly speaks to the intellect and intuition is rare. This is now one of my essential recommendations for those ready to unlock their full potential and step into their power. Katz doesn’t just inform—she equips. I’ll be eagerly watching her next work.

I thought the author but a bit of a nut case only because of certain exercises she suggested but she had a good overall point. I suppose without the over the top suggestions you wouldn't be able to see the full picture as clearly. I wish she went more into detail about manifesting itself and how to apply it to anything rather then going to into specifics and drifting off into stories and her views on the world. Still a good read in my opinion.
