So far, women have lost $800 billion in the pandemic. For decades, if not centuries, women have earned 75 cents to the dollar of their male counterparts, with an even bigger gap for women of color. The Science of Getting Rich for Women aims to be an antidote to this global financial gap and a catalyst for women’s financial freedom and empowerment.
Author Sara Connell shares the exact journey she took to go from struggling to make $20,000 a year as a writer and coach to making over $1,000,000 in one year as an author, speaker, and coach. She shares the step-by-step process she has used with 1000s of mothers, writers, coaches, leaders, and entrepreneurs to create impact and income through work that they love, using their mission, their stories, and their talents. You’ll also read the stories of 25 women who started without investors, capital—or in many cases, anyone believing in them—and became millionaires. By the end of this book, you will have a toolkit to create millions, while changing lives and having a positive impact on our planet.
Are you a woman standing at a crossroads, not sure of where to go in life? Have you suffered hardship and want to make life better? Then look no further than “The Science of Getting Rich for Women” by Sara Connell. Filled with a variety of ways to manifest and attract abundance into your life, the stories of women who worked their way up to success offer inspiration, ideas, and guidance along the way.
Just as the author once did, I, too, have read The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. I agree it is a good book with lots of good ideas, but like the author, felt the book had a masculine feel to it, like it was written for men. Just as Connell notes on page 13, “the tone of the book reflects its time.”
Like Connell, I felt there should be a version of this book specifically for women. And now there is! And who better to author such a book as Sara Connell, who has investigated many types of methods to create and manifest wealth in one’s life, created her own wealth, and has a profound network of other women who have also manifested and created the wealth they so desired for themselves. Indeed, Connell uses her experience and her expertise to write a powerful, inspiring, and motivational book for women everywhere. And you don’t need to be wealthy to benefit from it! I am thrilled she wrote this book. “The Science of Getting Rich for Women” is a much-needed resource on wealth-building and financial transformation, just for women!
One of the many things I liked about this book is that Connell tackles the tough issues. She is not afraid to ask the hard questions which many women may otherwise feel uncomfortable discussing. One message this book sends is that if there are things holding you back from obtaining wealth—your past, your beliefs, the way you were brought up, etc.—then you MUST deal with these issues so they will not be a barrier to the wealth that is rightfully yours.
On page 131, for example, Connell addresses the importance of networking with other entrepreneurs whose financial success you aspire to achieve, even if you are not ready yet. The thought of being in the room with these people can fill you with dread, as though you are not worthy of being in their presence. But this is not true. As Connell writes, “You likely won’t feel ready or maybe even worthy to be ‘in the room’ with some of these groups at the start. But enter anyway. Move in before you’re ready. Before you have anything figured out. Before you even understand what everyone is talking about (that was me in every group I joined for at least the first six months). After stretching and releasing all your gremlins, you’ll find that you were always worthy and capable and wanted and loved enough to be there, that you are a gift to that room, even on day one. You’ll find it was the room of your destiny all along.”
That pretty much destroys that fear, doesn’t it? That’s exactly the kind of power this book offers! And there is so much more!
I connected with the author’s philosophy about how we should all share our knowledge and offer guidance to those trying to achieve success as well, saying “there is no competition, only collaboration.” (Page 136) Someone who wants to achieve the same wealth, business success or abundance would really value insight, guidance, and mentorship from someone with that success and abundance, and should not be seen as competition, but as someone hoping to obtain their own success too. I believe it’s important to give back and help others who are not so successful. It’s just good karma, and it strikes a balance for the type of abundance one has received. If you receive abundance, it is only right to help others learn how to receive it, too.
There is so much valuable content, such as aligning ourselves with the goal we want when someone else achieves it. It’s important to cheer for each other when meeting our goals. Constant struggles and rejections can be frustrating. By aligning with others who have achieved the kind of goals we want to achieve and saying “I am one with that,” will attract better luck.
There are a lot of success stories from various successful women to read, and I devoured every one of them. They truly are all amazing stories. In addition to finding out how problems were solved, these women also shared the many struggles they endured to achieve the kind of success they have today. Of course, it’s not always going to be an easy path, but it was astounding to see just what journeys they have had so far. The many times they struggled, made mistakes, lost everything and had days where they thought about giving up. But they never did! Yes, many of these women have hit rock bottom in their journey to success, but they got right back up again and pressed onward. In the end, their persistence was rewarded because they obviously found the success they dreamed of, worked for, and went after.
The stories are not just stories, though, but also sources of inspiration. Until I read this book, I was struggling. I just gave up on chasing gigs and now I wanted something that I KNEW I could rely on to earn a livable income. I love my work as a freelance writer, but it no longer guarantees a monthly income to pay for my medication, bills, and to buy food. I also hope to make enough money to help my son go back to school, a goal that is very important to him. I need something better and more reliable for this purpose. Reading this book and reading these stories helped me to figure out what that something better is. The stories just had a way of getting my creativity going, making me think and turning over ideas. They are that inspiring and that motivating. Plus, there are heaps of excellent tips and advice in these stories, which I know readers would benefit from.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading “The Science of Getting Rich for Women.” It’s an inspiring book and I recommend it to women who are trying to figure out their next level in life.
The Science of Getting Rich for Women is a purpose-driven guide that combines personal experience, mindset shifts, and practical strategy to address financial empowerment through a female lens. The book positions wealth not just as an outcome, but as something intentionally created through clarity, alignment, and action.
What stands out most is its blend of narrative and application. Sara Connell doesn’t rely solely on theory she grounds her approach in her own financial transformation while reinforcing it with stories from other women who built success from limited starting points. This combination creates both credibility and relatability.
At its core, this is a book about agency reframing money, ambition, and opportunity in a way that feels accessible rather than restricted. With its structured guidance and motivational tone, The Science of Getting Rich for Women is especially well suited to audio, where delivery can reinforce both clarity and momentum.
A good read to help pull you out of that slump we all find ourselves in occasionally. Following the journey of these women to see how they made it happen for themselves gives you the feeling that you too can do anything you set your mind to. When we are little we think anything is possible, let's keep that train of thought and succeed!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The Science of Getting Rich for Women provides practical insights and strategies that are easy to understand and apply in real-world situations. It's a valuable resource for anyone looking to improve their skills and approach to business challenges.
