Pix was actually not a goblin because when they went in the fairy world he was a fairy acutally and he had a sword and when he entered he saw an old man and the old man thought his plastic toy sword was for battling, but the old man turned it into a real sharp sword. I liked that part. At the end, the king and queen of fairies, when he was trying to take Blue back home, they were getting so mad, but then he showed the starburster and then they were really wanting that and he was able to get Blue back but had to leave Pix there. The end.

After nine-year-old Tam's baby sister, Blue, is stolen away by faeries and replaced by a goblin baby, his grandpa explains that he must journey to the land of the faeries to find her. Fun fantasy for a second to third grade reader.
This book has moments of promise riddled with disappointments. It's not brilliant, but a sweet, predictable read, which provides exactly what you think it will. In the end Tam makes the inevitable choice, but we were left with mixed feelings about whether it was the choice we hoped for.
Both Odin & Loki liked this one. It was a quick, easy read for a 4 year old who is sometimes reluctant to listen to chapter books. I too liked the story, about a brother going to extremes to rescue his baby sister, like Labyrinth!
I found this book to be extremely enjoyable. I was not ready to be taken on such an adventure that I experienced. The characters were well developed and the plot was full of mystery and excitement. It is definitely worth reading!
