Sorcerer's Lover #2
Sorcerer's Lover II
The sequel to Amber Allure's Best Seller Sorcerer's Lover...
The sorcerer, Warin, and his lover, the illegitimate prince, Benedict, were torn apart just as they were on the verge of escaping to their new life together. Imprisoned for his own good by his half-brother and heir-to-the-throne, Henry, Benedict dreams of being rescued and reunited with his sorcerer.
The lovers subsist on a handful of stolen encounters even as Warin plans to free Benedict from his prison. As the king lies near death, a rebellion against Henry is secretly plotted when he is most vulnerable.
But when the chance to escape during an attack on the castle presents itself, Benedict and Warin stay behind to fight for Henry. Will they be forced to sacrifice their chance for love and happiness for honor?

I absolutely loved the trials and tribulations that Warin and Benedict went through in Sorcerer’s Lover! Imagine my excitement and delight when the second book in the series The Sorcerer’s Lover II came out!
Let me say first of all, this is a short story. Reading at about 50 pages or so, believe it or not this story has it all…love, intrigue, betrayal, mystery and passion, oh yeah… did I mention PASSION, making it feel even shorter than the book actually is. Once I started reading it, I didn’t stop. I refused to be interrupted, much to my husband’s dismay, because I had to see what was going to happen next in the lives of Warin and Benedict, whom I fell in love with in the first book the Sorcerer’s Lover.
The book starts a couple of days after the Sorcerer’s Lover stopped off. Warin is still hiding from the King, and Benedict has been recaptured…er...I mean saved, by his brother and soon to be King, Henry.
Benedict has been confined to his rooms and under heavy watch until the capture and execution of his lover who is also the Sorcerer, Warin. Worried about his lover and unable to escape, to Benedict’s delight, Warin is able to slip into Benedict’s rooms unnoticed. Luckily, they have a few moments of passion (do they ever…whew!) and plot Benedict’s escape. (You’ll have to read how Warin gets into Benedict’s rooms…so cool!)
As I said before there is really much going on in this story and I’m deliberately not going to get into detail about the storyline, because I don’t want to take anything away from it. But, between the King’s death, Henry’s new reign over the kingdom, Benedict’s capture and plot to escape, Warin trying to staying safely hidden from Henry’s clutches while thinking of clever ways to rescue his lover Benedict unharmed, and last but not least the comings and goings of the middle brother James, whose behavior is a mystery keeps the book fast paced, and nail biting to the end! You’ll have to read it for yourself to see how things turn out, and how Shawn is being a tease by keeping us on pins and needles until the next installment! I can’t wait!
One more thing, I do think that it is important to read the first book The Sorcerer’s Lover before you read this one. Although, Shawn does a great job explaining the circumstances that brought Warin and Benedict together, to understand the dynamics and the love between the heroes, it would be best to read the first one before this one.

Sorcerer's Lover II is a fantasy short story, that picks up where Sorcerer’s Lover left off. It’s intriguing and romantic, with a more developed plot. Warin and Benedict’s romance has become more passionate, as they try to find a way to be reunited permanently.
