I'll be honest. I did not enjoy reading this book. It's the sequel that follows Longleaf.

Although the writing is quite descriptive, the conversations are stale. The action is not something believable. The characters are not very likable. The ending was too clear cut as well.

Level-wise, it's appropriate for a middle school student. My male student who finished reading the book recently actually enjoyed it.

This was a fun little young adult mystery with some science info thrown in.
