The United States Cookbook, Recipes from all the states Tasty tour and other facts about the states for children but I find it fascinating. No nutritional information in this audio version. Safety and basics are discussed. So many fun facts about all the states. Will be making Maine blueberry cornbread. sounds easy and quick to make this treat. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
I definitely enjoyed this book and all the interesting facts about the state said it had to offer. However I feel that the recipes could have been a bit more state centric. I feel like the recipes in this book definitely do not represent the States that they assigned them to. However I think to learn some general information in just a quick read and some interesting recipe ideas this is an overall good book so I will definitely give it 5 stars anyways.
Though a bit dated, this book offers a lot of interesting facts and trivia about each of the fifty states in the nation. The facts are paired with recipes that are popular and/or highlight one of the state's defining foods.
Small black and white pictures depict each state's outline with prominent cities and add some of the key features or official state animals/birds/trees/flowers, etc. Our oldest borrowed this book from her elementary school library and I thought it was a fun, fast read.
