Six-year-old Angela's faith in order and fairness is frequently shaken as she tries to cope with all the mysteries of life that keep turning up in her busy family
During her career Nancy K. Robinson wrote more than 20 books for children between the ages of 7 and 12. She also wrote stories for children published by Scholastic Inc. She was a 1964 graduate of Vassar College.
In the 30-odd years since I read these, I did mix some of this up with Oh, Honestly Angela. I'd had it in my head that Angela mailed Stuffed Elephant off for their adopted underprivileged child, but nope--she actually mailed some money and a tax form to the IRS. Unfortunately, it was a tax form that her parents needed to mail in their taxes and this was 1989, so getting one and to the post office in time was actually a multi-hour effort. They were less than pleased, but it was pretty funny. She put her very best stickers on that IRS envelope!
