Kicking the People-Pleasing Habit: A 6-Step Approach

Kick that People-Pleasing Habit!
Do you have a hard time saying “no” and setting boundaries?
Are you constantly worried about what other people will think about you?
Do you feel like you doing everything for everyone at the expense of your own well-being?
Do you struggle with feelings of low self-confidence and not being good enough?

If you’ve answered yes to some of these questions, you may have some people-pleasing tendencies. People pleasing may seem harmless at first glance, but if you dig down deep, you will find that it prevents you from living the exciting, authentic life you were meant to live.

As a recovering people pleaser, Janice lays out a 6-step approach that she used in her own life to gain freedom from this disease to please. After learning and implementing this approach in your own life, you will experience life without the masks, the burnout, and the stress that is so common to people pleasers.

Read the book, implement the steps, and experience authentic POWER and FREEDOM!

I believe I won this book from goodreads sometime back.
I finally have read it at the time needed.
The kindle format that I received had some typos but nothing I couldn’t figure out and I’m sure have been most likely corrected.
I found this book to be helpful and inspiring.
It motivates me to strive to be the best version of myself and to be myself.
Don’t allow others to tell me what to think, believe and do.
I don’t need others permission to be my best self.

Wonderful Book

Excellent book for anyone who is a "People-Pleaser". Janice shares personal stories from her own life and bares her heart. She also includes many stories from others she interviewed and provides the process that allowed her to move forward and conquer the " People-Pleaser" mindset. I learned so much reading this book. I recommend it to anyone wanting to kick the "People-Pleaser" mindset!

First I want to say I received this from a Goodreads Giveaway.

For as difficult of a time as I had reading some of this, I really did get a lot out of the book. I know that it is going to take a lot of time to really work my way through my past, but this helped me map out how to do this. I look forward to reviewing my highlights and continuing on my journey of kicking my people-pleasing habit.

I personally don't agree that the only love that matters is self-love, but I think that is something that the author still struggles with due to her previous relationship. That is simply my personal view as I have found that finding the right person (and their continued love and support) can have a wonderful affect grounding us and teaching us that we are not our past and that we deserve love even on our worst days.

Final thing I will say is "so many spelling and grammatical errors" I had such a hard time with that.

DNF @ 8% I received a copy of this ebook in a Goodreads giveaway.
I have done a lot of self work in this area and this book seems more geared towards people earlier along in the process than me. I’m glad this book exists for those people, I just didn’t foresee getting much out of it at this point in my journey.

helpful to many

This book will be helpful to people. It was better than I expected. The author write for my position of transparency and a healer, that makes the book worthwhile.

Very little new in this book, which can't figure out if it is a memoir, self-help, or quotes. The writing style is strong despite its lack of direction.
