Pretty Woman on steroids, only she’s just a stripper and he’s a defense attorney.

Conner Rothchild (from the other branch of the Las Vegas Rothchild clan) is searching for the stolen family heirloom, only to find the huge diamond flashing on a stripper’s ring finger. And before he can retrieve it, the FBI busts into the strip joint and arrests her.

Conner is quick on his feet to spring her out of jail, but under one condition, he’s to stick to her like glue in hopes to apprehending the real jewel thief. Only sticking like glue to that mouthwatering body of hers presents quite a temptation.

The theme of a stripper finding solace and happiness in the arms of a rich man has been done and redone, but this one offered quite a “fresh” view and was rather tastefully done.
I loved the female lead in this one. A woman that despite all the heaps in her path, she was determined to do it all her own way, and refused to be brought down by the sneers invoked by her profession. And I loved it how she brought Conner to his knees. Conner, the big, bad defense attorney with a player’s reputation that went down like a sack of potatoes at the first sight of her. They were just too cute for words.
Though at times I wanted to head-slap him for being such an obtuse idiot.

The only downside of this book, and an unfortunate fact for a part of a romantic suspense miniseries, was the suspense itself. It was rather bland and seemed inserted almost as an afterthought to give the reader a breather from the whirlwind romance between the two leads. I actually missed the tension the previous books had in the suspense department, and the actual showing of the villain felt a bit premature to me.

Prince Charming for one night is a 2009 Silhouette Suspense novel by Nina Bruhns.

Vera is the illegitimate daughter of a wealthy man that has fathered many children by many different wives. But, he never acknowledged Vera. Matters are made worse by Vera's occupation as an exotic dancer. Vera's half sister, Darla, is the only one of her family that has sought out a relationship with her. But, it seems Darla has gotten herself into a little trouble. She passes off a rare and stolen diamond ring to Vera and hauls butt. Now Vera is a target.

Conner Rothchild is determined to get that diamond back and that leads him right to Vera. After having her arrested sort of backfired, the only logical thing to do is keep an eye on her to see who comes looking for that diamond. Conner is a confirmed bachelor, easily bored with women after just a short time. He's sure Vera will be not be an exception to the rule. But, deep down he knows he may be in some serious trouble. Dating a stripper would not go over well with his family so he is determined not to become emotionally involved. But, that is easier said than done.

This is a light easy romantic suspense novel that adds family pain and obligations to the story. What started off as a casual thing for wealthy people with too much time on their hands caused the death of someone and put many people in danger. Vera manages to step out from under the class restrictions that have followed her in life and into a woman that is a true hero and deserving of her long overdue HEA!

Book 4 in the exciting SRS mini-series, LOVE IN 60 SECONDS

She doesn’t believe in faerie tales.
He doesn’t believe in curses.
Together they’ll learn to believe in both…

Audacious exotic dancer Vera Mancuso is a girl from the wrong side of tracks trying to make good…and totally out of the social realm of wealthy playboy lawyer Conner Rothchild. But when they meet, instant and powerful sparks fly, intensified by the mystical influence of the cursed Tears Of The Quetzal diamond ring, which she has on her finger as she performs–a ring that was stolen from his murdered cousin.

Connor is quickly convinced Vera has nothing to do with either crime. When the FBI arrests her, he arranges her release, and together they set out to catch the real culprit. But just as in the classic tale, Conner’s pretty Cinderella disappears from the glamorous charity ball as they close in on the villain. But this time it is not a pumpkin coach that steals her away from her prince charming. It is a cold-blooded killer.
