I originally bought this book at my wholesale club for a friend who was having chemotherapy and having a hard time concentrating on longer stories. I went back and bought one for myself. The articles, stories, and snippets of information are all so engaging and informative. This book is a compliation of so many things you've always wanted to know plus things you've never even thought about. It includes everything from twinkies to Richard Nixon to origins of words to Elvis to King Tut to bizarre lawsuits to the 7 wonders of the world and everything in between. If you don't already own one, you should really consider tyring to find one.

For anyone that loves ANY kind of trivia...this series of books is fantastic. For everyone else...this series of books is fantastic. Got it? These books are simple, fun to read, and above all entertaining. And the best part is you actually learn new things about almost every subject. No matter where you read them...ahem...they are enjoyable.

Fun read, though there is some outdated information in these early volumes.

The perfect bathroom reader. I read stuff I already knew, but yet learned a bunch of new stuff. All in easily considered pieces.

This book is a combination of the first FOUR Uncle John's Bathroom Readers. It contains fascinating facts, short stories and tons of interesting little bits of info - set up for short, medium or long reads (from about 1 to 6 pages each). Definitely recommended - whether reading it on the john or elsewhere.

It really does make for great bathroom reading! Short stories, tidbits, etc. I read all the subjects even the ones that don't interest me (sports, history...etc)
