In a field where there are so many books promising to help individual or group success in business, Mr. Wynn's book actually delivers. Garrison's ideas are fresh, and unlike a great deal of business "experts", he writes with credibility, clarity, and panache. Fresh and vibrant ideas literally jump off the page and I found myself taking copious notes; the ideas are that good. Garrison has that rare gift of being able to transmit a virtual waterfall of genius level ideas in an very accessible, even simple manner without losing any information. If you have read as many motivational-business books as I have, you will immediately recognize, that this one is something special. Garrison's ideas are not simply taken from the ivory tower of academia, they are based on direct experience and observations from the global business landscape. Garrison's humor and humility are also extremely refreshing. The systems, behaviors, and ideas are designed for immediate application. He helped me understand that great ideas, by themselves, will not help me. I learned that I had to get honest about the pain and/or frustration with my current life/work situation before I could ever adapt to any new idea. I learned, laughed, and felt invigorated after reading this unique book. Read this book, then read it again. If you follow Garrison's ideas and adopt the attitudes he teaches so clearly, you can transform not only your business, but also your life. Goodreads only allows five stars, and that is too bad. I would give this dynamic, accessible book a galaxy of stars.

This book was empty of new ideas and the poorly-integrated injections of humor were a distraction.

Wynn is as practical and entertaining in print as he is on stage, which makes The Real Truth a valuable read that is easy to take in. The overall theme is that success doesn't have a specific formula that works for everyone but instead a more general principle, which is: figure out the unique assets you can leverage and then keep leveraging them, over and over. Another important take-away is to be simple and clear, so people have a chance to access your brilliance. The book isn't a hard read. If a couple hundred pages is still too much, there's a handy re-cap at the end.

This is a good book about leadership and how to succeed. Garrison Wynn took a different, matter of fact approach at helping people see how they can succeed in life. I saw Garrison speak at a conference in DC and was very amused by him, enough that I had run out and read what he had to say. This is book is enjoyable for anyone to read.

I actually stopped reading this because I personally did not like the author's style. I gave it to my fiance to read instead since he is very similar to how it seems the author is and he liked it much better than I did! The author has some good things to say; his style was just too aggressive for me. But that's probably what makes him successful!

Could have been about 50 pages shorter, however, I got a lot of notes and ideas from the book.
