I was inspired to read this after a my boys & I attended a program with David Moses Bridges at the Great Salt Bay Farm in Damariscotta, Maine. The book provided a lot of great information about the Wabanaki people, natural & cultural history of Maine.

This book reveals the genius of our Native Americans in Maine. From methods of "genetic modification" of seed crops to brilliant use of environmental elements to survive our winter climate, I am very impressed. Loved this book.

Very interesting. I've got the feeling there's a lot more to learn about the Wabanaki although this is a good start!
