Cole for Christmas

Rate this book
Cole: How did I end up in my boss’ cabin during Christmas? Funny story. Was I also madly in love with him? You betcha. I never expected him to reciprocate my feelings. I was fine pining—I was good at pining. But now that our hearts are on the line, will it be a Christmas miracle or will a certain Grinch ruin everything?

Kiernan: Christmas is usually the most difficult time of year for me. But this year, a petite, hazel-eyed gift landed on my doorstep. Cole is more than my executive assistant; he’s my lifeline. He came to my rescue when I didn’t even know I needed saving. But with holiday trickery afoot, can I protect him and the company? If so, it’ll be a Christmas to remember.

Cole for Christmas is a forced proximity holiday novella featuring a feisty assistant and his not-so- hopeless romantic boss. Full of swoons, steam, and holiday cheer. Grab a hot cocoa and enjoy the ride!

It was fine. We have a mutually pining Boss/PA romance, a little forced proximity, and some size difference on top of it. I found that while it had a lot of things I usually enjoy, it just didn't excite me enough? It might just be that because of its length, it felt very surface-level. The sex scenes were also short and not that interesting, which led to me skimming them all. Clearly, that isn't the point of this book, but it personally did have me disengage from the book.

Cole for Christmas is a short, sweet, steamy novella. When Cole overhears something, he needs to tell his boss Kiernan. He ends up at Kiernan’s cabin where things get spicy fast. Kiernan and Cole are perfect for one another. Loved the story! Well written with nice pacing.

What a sweet little bit of Christmas magic. This story is short and full of sugar, spice and everything nice. Kiernan and Cole are perfect for each other. I enjoyed this little novella very much.

I loved it!

This was a perfect Christmas read. I loved how the author didn’t quick fix some things. Sometimes it takes time to deal with emotional situations and they are more a work in progress. Even though he totally ticked me off, I kind of feel bad for Graham. I think he learned a powerful lesson after everything he lost, especially a long friendship. I’ve read everything by this author and can’t wait for more.

This was just too sweet and ott for my liking. There was a lot going on for such a short book and 'I love yous' were exchanged after a week. Not my cup of tea unfortunately.

A Joyfully Jay review.

This is a light-hearted romance filled with a great deal of sex and occasional bits of plot for window decoration. Cole is an elfin, bright, and cheerful young man who has had a crush on his boss, Kiernan, for the last three years. As Kiernan keeps working his way through a bevy of women, Cole knows there’s no hope for anything but the deep and abiding friendship the two of them have had since Cole started working at Zentec. But a bit of cider that’s made of more brandy than apples has Cole confessing sleepily to his boss: I love you.

This book has a great premise. However, it was dissatisfying. It was WAY too brief, needs a good editor, and needs a stronger plot. While the sex was steamy, much of the story was unbelievable. Overall, I was disappointed.

Cole Winters has had a crush on his boss for some time now. Working as Kiernan Howland's personal assistant at his Zentec corporation, Cole does far more than what he's asked to do because of his feelings for him. When Cole inadvertently hears information that could potentially ruin Kiernan, he is able to record the conversation of the shady plot as proof. Racing to where Kiernan is rusticating in the North Carolina mountains over the Christmas holiday, the unstoppable Cole presents Kiernan with the sordid evidence.

Cole For Christmas is wonderful holiday novel… short, but very sweet with all the gentle and magical feelings of adoration and romance! I couldn't help but fall in love with Cole - his devotion to his job and to Kiernan is testament to what a faithful and genuine guy he is. Kiernan has had more than his share of heartache in the past, but has always trusted his instincts enough to know that Cole alone is able to make his life more happy and his problems more bearable.

The plot of this book is simple, yet fun and entertaining. I especially liked the character development, particularly that of Kiernan and Cole - the two are made for each other, even though neither thought it would ever be possible.

A light hearted and heartwarming romance! 5 stars!!

STEAMY SHORT HOLIDAY NOVELLA!

The blurb intrigued me as I love close proximity especially if there is only one bed…

The title says it all.

After losing his parents and many failed heterosexual relationships Kiernan thought he would never enjoy Christmas again until his executive assistant Cole knocked on his cabin door to inform him of foul play at his company Zentec…

Although it was a bit short to incorporate the whole storyline and character development , it was still an enjoyable, engaging low angst read by this new to me author!

The chemistry and connection between the two main characters is very strong and their feelings developed over a span of three years so in there lies their character build and background…..

A sweet, steamy Gay for you romance with close proximity and Christmas magic!

I voluntarily received an ARC from Gay Romance Reviews for an honest opinion on this story.

3,5 for a sweet holiday Story with a boss/employee trope ( which is one of my favourites)

This would also have worked perfectly for a longer Story and it is a pity that the author decided to write it as a novella - especially as there were do many possible developments due to outside interference

Nevertheless, Cole and Kiernan were a sweet couple which had a strong foundation due to their previous working relationship and developed friendship.

Hopefully the next book by this author will be as good but a bit longer.

So, if you are looking for a sweet, short Christmas story, this is a good candidate

I think this really wasn't my cup of tea. I do like a boss/employee dynamic usually, I like seeing how they deal with that power difference. This was all too fast for my liking, insta-love isn't my thing. I honestly think this whole story would have worked better in a longer format. There was a lot packed in here in such a short space, the idea is good but it's all just too fast, too much in one go.

That said I did like Cole and Kiernan for the most part, I'd have liked to see a slower burn, especially as this was a bi/gay awakening too as well as everything else going on.

Not for me, I'm afraid.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

He deserved someone who saw him, not just his bank balance.

Cole was the best thing that’d ever happened to me.

“I’d never wanted to know what another man tasted like until you.”

“You’re beautiful,”

“There’s a lot to figure out, Cole, but I hope you know I’m in this for the long haul,”

“…You made me feel seen, valued, and respected….”

This was such a sweet Christmas Romance novella!

I love Cole & Kieran together, they are perfect🖤

Cole is a cute twink in love with his handsome boss Kiernan, who also harbors secret feelings for his indispensable assistant. Chance intervenes when Cole and Kiernan are forced to spend time together and it does not take long for their true feelings to surface and their mutual attraction to make itself known.

I really enjoyed this cute little holiday romance. Cole and Kiernan were perfect for each other and they had great chemistry. It was sweet when they first kissed. The MC's were very lovable and both sweet and spicy. This was a great story to read this winter holiday.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A fantastic holiday tale!

I loved this book! Cole and Kiernan find each other at work, Cole is Kiernan’s assistant, but it will take an overheard conversation to jumpstart their relationship. I love how much Cole cares for and takes care of Kiernan both in and out of the office. Kiernan’s a little slow to realize his feelings but it all becomes clear to him in time. The two will get the chance to move forward with their relationship come the new year and it will be absolutely wonderful!

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Kiernan’s Cole

This was a cute holiday novella that tried to include too many things (including too many trysts for the length) and ended up not including much of substance. Cole was a bright pixie of a man, spreading warmth and order in his wake, especially to his boss Kiernan. He also ended up in the middle of every single plot and smack dab in the middle of Kiernan’s interest. I would have preferred more character development for the two men, but it was still a quick little holiday themed read.

Cole and Kiernan story was a sweet and endearing holyday read with a dash of fighting for what you wish for.
Their courtship was heart-warming, I loved the way they supported each other, how Kiernan is beside Cole when Cole's mother is being difficult and causes him pain, and how they protect together the company.
It was endearing to see how their relationship evolved and how emotional was when they make the next step.
I enjoyed the read and I'm looking forward to see more of them.

This book is short and sweet so expect insta- love and a relationship to develop at a fast pace.  If this is your preferred genre then you will love
Cole and Kiernan's relationship. Low angst, fast love, but actually believable, despite not having much depth to the story. I'm not a huge fan of instant love but this one was sweet; I think the Christmas theme helped because it is a magical time of year.

Very steamy and very sweet.

Not much in the way of story or development but I didn't care much because I like my stories relationship-focused. Beside the main characters, there were hardly interactions with minor characters or scenes not taking place in the bedroom/living room/kitchen.
I'd call this smut. Christmas smut. And there is nothing wrong with that.

A quick little read if you want something light for an hour.

Cole has been in love with his boss, Kiernan since he started working for him, but he thinks it will be unrequited since he only dates women. But everything changes during the start of the holidays and Cole overhears a plan to undermine Kiernan's company and everything he's worked for. As Cole and Kiernan are stuck in Kiernan's cabin while they wait a storm to pass, they admit their feelings for each other. A quick, cute read!

Quick read which starts at Christmas, it’s a work place romance, with a little family issues, some work place dramas, bi-awakening. It’s cute and no angst between the MC’s, it has a twist I didn’t see coming. It was a good enough read but is in serious need of proof reading as has numerous words missing. I removed another star because that really was irritating to me but to be fair, I read an ARC so it may all be sorted when it’s released.

Short, sweet holiday romance perfect for a hot cocoa reading break

This was just right for reading when you have a moment to sit and have a cup of tea/coffee/hot cocoa and time for a quick read. Kiernan and Cole were very cute together and while everything moved quickly it makes sense for being a novella. Most importantly it left me with a smile and had the warm fuzzy feeling you want from a holiday romance.

Such a wonderful feel good. Just in time for Christmas. Heartfelt and heartwarming. Cole has been in love with his boss for a long time. He overhears info that could jeopardize his boss Kiernan future. He has to get the info to Kiernan immediately. Kiernan is away for the holidays at his cabin. As they spend time alone in the cabin certain things are revealed. Does Kiernan have feelings for Cole? I highly recommend.

Sweet

I just love Christmas stories. This one does not disappoint. We have an employee in a boss. The employee already had a crush on the boss on the boss started to have feelings for his employee. The employee skips his family Christmas to give his boss some news about an employee who's trying to take over. He have to read the story to find out what happens. But I can let you know it's Christmas so it's happy.

This was super heartwarming with very lovable characters. It is a quick read so I will not give too much way. We get a nice Christmas atmosphere, and all the holiday family feels in the backdrop. Kiernan is very supportive of Cole, and they are genuine and real guys. This is instalove at its sweet and spiciest for an easy, fluffy holiday read.

This was a short, holiday novella by a new to me author. I liked the idea behind how Cole & Kiernan got together. I think the 2 conflicts were a little unnecessary, though, and took away a bit of the book. It would be great if we got to know the MCs better.

This book was a great short read. Cole is in love with his boss Kiernan. Cole overhears something important about the company and races to let Kiernan know, which leads to some hanky lanky between the two. Will they get a HEA or will the company interference tear them apart - well you will just have to read it to know

I enjoyed the characters of Cole and Kiernan and their forced proximity romance. They've been the perfect match as executive assistant and boss and it turns out they are a perfect match personally as well. The story even manages to include a plot where they succeed in thwarting some corporate skullduggery. Snuggle up by the fire and enjoy this holiday treat.

There was a lot packed into such a short, but enjoyable holiday novella. Cute, sweet, and steamier than I expected.
Cole's intention was to relay an important piece of information to his boss, Kiernan. Alone in a cabin, what could possibly go right? Well, everything. No time was wasted and oh so good.

Ok

Sweet novella. No real substance but I was in the mood for fluff anyway. Could definitely use some more editing and the drama to "save" the company was just a little blip and ultimately pointless. I also feel like this was insta-love regardless of any feelings they may have had for each other beforehand.

A short, slightly drama filled holiday treat. The characters, Cole and Kiernan, share their love story while there is dissension in the ranks in the form of Graham. The drama is short lived while the happily ever after lingers making this a sweet read. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
