Sven Magnusson is stuck on Earth sexually serving his queen and dealing with a culture where women don't seem to want a man's protection. As he struggles to understand Earth females, the queen encourages him to get laid. Of course, Thea Cooper, the only woman who appeals to him, thinks men are useful for one thing and on a one-night-only basis. Despite their clash of sexual cultures and the fury of their heated erotic encounters, can Sven find a way to convince Thea that she belongs with him on Planet Valhalla? Though this book can be read as a stand alone, it is the sequel to Planet Mail. Contains ménage scenes.

This book was the true definition of getting slutted out. This book had more sex then when Douglass became his consort. How that is possible is beyond me !! I think the worst part is there was so much potential for this to be phenom but it was just ugh !! I know erotica is Sex, Sex, Sex !! But I still require a splash of storyline to get my thang thang off !!!

Happy reading everyone 😍🥰😍🥰

2 ½ stars. Lots of sex. Plot was not interesting.

This is good for someone in the mood for lots of sex. Some scenes have multiple men pleasing one woman. There is back-door action, a few toys, and a little bondage. Sex scenes were good, but I skimmed some.

My big problem was the plot. I did not like the reasons for conflict. See Spoilers.

I consider these throw away conflicts, like the author didn’t take time to come up with something better.

This is the second book in the Mail Call Series. I liked and gave 4 stars to the first book “Planet Mail.”

DATA:
Narrative mode: 3rd person. Kindle count length: 3,992 (212 pages). Swearing language: strong including religious swear words. Sexual language: strong. Number of sex scenes: 14 plus thinking about it. Setting: a future time in San Francisco, California and on the planet Valhalla. Copyright: 2008. Genre: erotic sci-fi romance.

Thea was kind of annoying with how little she tried to communicate with and take into consideration that Sven comes from an entire different planet. But Sven also annoyed me with how often he left her hanging and didn’t communicate with her.

There is a minor plot and some frustrating ‘I’m not worthy of you, I must dramatically leave you for the good graces of a better man’ subplots. And of course there are many sex scenes but it seemed to fit?

I am SO glad Sven got penetrated because I just don’t understand how we’re skirting around M/M relations? I know Kate Pearce has two series with bi/gay/poly relationships so she’s not squeamish about it. In a planet with 50:1 ratio of men to women, you cannot tell me that the guys are not enjoying each other.

But she did mention these are earlier works of hers so maybe she was trying to be discreet so she wouldn’t completely shock or throw off traditional M/F readers.

This book was ok. Lots of sex but the the main character was unlikable and hypocritical. I feel like she was the main cause of the conflict but then the end of the book turned it around to Sven having the issues keeping them apart. It felt forced and not true to his character (?) I'm not sure.

A side note - I listened to this as an audiobook and the cadence of the narrator just nagged at my brain.

You've got male

I really enjoyed this book maybe because of the first one which introduced us to the boys. I liked Sven then and totally feel for him in this book.
Such angst and self doubt for both main characters. Took an awful lot of intervention and advice to get them both to listen. Even Thor helped. It was very readable.

This is my least favorite
Kate Pearce book so far. I found Thea unlikable and I honestly couldn't wait for the book to be over. I loved the first book and plan to read the next one.

Really different from the First in this series, "Planet Mail". Disappointing on several fronts for me.

** SPOILERS **

The Erotica was nowhere near as steamy hot. For the most part, it was just Thea & Sven getting freaky. There was one orgy scene during the Superbowl with the Raiders & 49ers playing. (The funny side of that is that the author is a Brit)

PLOT:
The story begins on earth in the new Valhalla Embassy where Queen Douglass, her newborn son Prince Thor, all her Pleasure servants and security staff reside. Thea Cooper is a female security expert / body-guard assigned by the Earth government to work with the Valhalla staff.
Thea & Sven have a little chemistry and both get 'encouraged' from their employers to further their relationship into more personal territory for one reason or another.

Thea starts off playing the bitchy yet horny human who has been betrayed by men in the past and is trying to adopt the love-em & leave'em lifestyle. She gives Sven several opportunities to have sex with her but he always finds a way to bail. Sven "pleasures" her but does not engage in intercourse as it reminds him of his wife who died during childbirth 16 years prior. (Sven really irritated me in this book and was part of my non-enjoyment. Big Viking pussy)
So after several hit and miss attempts on both their parts at seduction - they finally share a great night of passion and endless screwing. This night incidentally occurs the night the King comes back from visiting the President of Earth.

The next day, a tabloid journalist sends some blackmail photos to the Valhalla embassy taken weeks earlier of the Queen with her three pleasure servants in a sexual scenario. As one of the security staff, Thea sees them, realizes Sven is also 'fucking' the Queen and feels betrayed and wants nothing to do with Sven. Sven is a prideful idiot and doesn't explain to Thea that he's basically under contract to pleasure the Queen and that his dick never makes it into her vagina. (Not that I think it would have mattered to Thea at this point)

The Queen sees that Sven is upset and convinces the King to request the earth government for a female bodyguard to go back to Valhalla with all of them when they leave in two weeks. Thea gets strong armed into it, of course.

Once on Valhalla, Thea gets assigned her own pleasure servant, Woden. He is her orgasm alarm clock and pretty much functions like all the other guys do, but you don't really see him much. Sven is jealous of Woden and shows it. Thea keeps making cracks about how Sven is late for servicing the Queen.

Queen tries to interfere (get Thea to 'understand)by having Thea watch her with her three pleasure servers....as Thea stands next to the King - who is also watching the pleasure servers getting the Queen off.

There's some petty fighting back and forth with Thea and Sven, then some kidnappers grab the royal baby. Thea is the only one who catches them in the act, and they take her with them. She keeps leaving blood trail signs for Sven to follow because she knows he will come. He does.
Thea actually ends up saving herself because she's a good fighter. Sven, on the other hand gets knocked out by part of the group who stole the baby and gets semi-rescued by Thea.
His ego has taken a beating and now he is deep into pity-party mode. Tells Thea she needs a warrior who can protect her, someone worthy.
(In my head I'm hearing Heath Ledger as the Joker asking "What happened? Did your balls fall off?")

So the King and Thea get together and plan up Sven's BDSM torture. He gets taken to the caverns below the castle, chained up naked, cock ring, oral from Queen to get hard, nipple clamps, ball gag, oiled, anal plug etc....Thea comes down, taunts him and leaves. For an hour. Then comes back and asks if he's learned his lesson. He has, she's a warrior too, they are equals. She unchains him, they start going at it on the floor, he says some ritual words of partnership to her, she says them back...the end.

Fairly unsatisfying in both plot and erotica. The first book was SOOO much better.

Sven is on earth sexually serving his queen- at first i did not really get what the sentence meant and thought that the queen just uses him as a sex toy, but turns out the king is always away and never really has time for sex with the queen personally, so the queen would open up a chat with the king and the king will command the servants( sven, etc.) to sexually touch the queen the way the king wants to touch her.
Sven's interest on earth is a woman named Thea Cooper. Thea is stubborn, and hard-judging, but she is all worth it to Sven.
On Thea's first day at Sven's planet, she gets waken up by a male licking her yeah u know what part. Turns out, they don't have alarm clocks and every female that doesn't have a mate always gets woken up like that. Woden/Den is the guy who wokr Thea up.
The problem in this book is when the prince(baby) gets kidnapped, and Thea ends up saving him. Then theres the ending, which is my favvorite!!!! omg, if you think this book is bad, just wait till the end. Lets just say that Thea wanted to teach Sven a lesson...

Sven is actually from planet Valhalla and is to serve the queen , Thea is a body guard liaison between the royals and their security on earth . Thea doesn’t feels like she needs someone to protects her and that is a very different concept for Sven . Because Thea has been hurt she is only interested in one night stands . Sven finds Thea and they have a very intense one night stand But then Sven wants more than that with Thea .
I didn’t particularly like reading of several men on one women even if its what she wanted for her pleasure something wrong there as far as I am concerned . Some of the sexual acts themselves I would have rather not even skimmed over . i just didn’t enjoy reading about them . but I did enjoy the story and plot for the most part . Also the twists and turns Thea and Sven went through were enjoyable .A lot of sex but that is not necessarily a bad thing at all . All and all not a bad story to read just not one of my favorites
I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

I think culture shock is better treated in this book, with a woman who considers Valhallan customs by the standards of her planet, and the communication problems that entails. Unfortunately, the ending was quite disappointing.

Thea Cooper is part of Earth's security team guarding the King and Queen of planet Valhalla. She finds herself hopelessly attracted to big, sexy alien Sven who serves the Queen. Sven, can't stop thinking about Thea. He enjoys riling her up even as he is imagining her underneath him. Can passion for each other overcome their cultural differences?

This is a quick, entertaining read with hunky alien men and hot sex. Kate Pearce does not disappoint.

This was definitely better than the first. I think we got more of a sense of who the people are and how they are living their lives on their planets. I enjoyed the clash of cultures and watching them work this out. It was really good to see that the male character had to change his views this time. I liked watching not only the introduction of the new culture to both characters but how they worked around it. I'm not sure what I think about the introduction of some things onto Valhalla but it should be interesting to see where this goes.

Less sex than book 1 more plot, just as good. Love Sven and Thea. She was strong and not so stupid she couldn't go for what she wanted like some heroines. Kind of wished we got to see more of the others in this one, but looking forward to Harlan's book.

This is the second time I have read this book and the second time I totally enjoyed. It is too bad that we can't live in a society like on the planet Valhalla, I would be the first one in line for a one way ticket!

Hot Hot Hot

Oh yeah, I totally loved this story. Fell in love with the characters all over again. The story has a very good flow and the character development is great. The passion, sex, and romance definitely shows up in book two. Highly recommend.

Crazy sexy hotness! Sven and Thea are a smokin' hot couple. Their story rivals the yummy in the first book of the series. It just cements my wish that this planet and its people and customs actually existed!!

Book Two of the Trilogy

Valhalla security chief Sven falls for The a who is also on the King's security forces while he is visiting Earth. Numerous misunderstandings occur as earthly and Valhallan sexual customs clash. Very sexy, over 18.
