This book series is another one of my favorites. I love everything that goes into them the action, adventure, fiction, mystery and the love. Some of the books really make you think the impossible can happen it really does send chills down your spine when you read them. I wonder how a person from a particular state feels when they read the book from their state? This series is a quick fun ready if you want some great action, adventure , chills and mystery all in one.

I'm finished with this book. I think this book was amazing, what surprised me most after i read this book is how Robbie and his friends survived the megaladon attacks over and over. I imagine how I would feel if I was attacked by a megaladon in the middle of a salt water lake. I would feel pretty scared, I would recommend this book to people who like horror books.

Read this one and a few others in the series with my 6 year old son. He loves them. Every chapter leaves you hanging so he begs for Just. One. More. Chapter.

After spending years of reading these books, I finally decided to go up to Chillermania in Indian River and meet the author, who is a personal hero of mine.

I went to his publishing warehouse afterward because I was curious about the process as to how an American Chillers book is made.

First, he showed me how he comes up with an idea. He has this giant rat maze where dozens of rats roam around carrying little papers that will give names of the characters and the monster of a certain book. They all follow a specific formula, so when each rat finishes the maze, they drop off their paper and out pops the perfect story for a perfect book (that's why all the books reuse the same sentences).

After all that, Mr. Rand showed me how a book is printed and bound for distribution across the world. He takes all the pages that the rats wrote and starts eating them. A few seconds later, he started shrieking in pain like Peter Parker trying to stop the train in Spider-Man 2. Suddenly, he shit out a fresh new copy of Mississippi Megalodon. I was in shock.

He gave me the book for free. Now you know how an American Chillers book is made.

I hate to give this such a low rating considering the story takes place where my uncle lives (and where my twin brother was last week), but this didn't do much for me at all. A young kid and his two friends - a boy and girl sibling duo, set out for a fun fishing expedition at Sardis Lake and end up encountering a ginormous prehistoric shark. Like all of Rand's works, this plays out like a Bone Chillers book, where it's just chapter after chapter of teases of something actually happening, but no real "horror" actually goes down. There were a few historical and geographical references that were cool (and accurate), but even the ending of this one wasn't as fun as the other books I've read from this author. I'll give this a 2/5 but this isn't the worst book I've ever given two stars to. Just not recommended unless you literally have nothing else to read.

I enjoyed this book because I love scary book, and books that don't have a ending. Also I like books that when I get to the end and it leaves me at a cliff hanger. When I started this book ever time I had to stop I just got to the really good part. In a bunch of chapters the author keep making different and weird things happen.

I really liked this book because it's a mix between adventure and mystery.I would recommend this book to someone that like mystery. This book is somewhat like Scooby-Doo.These kids get to go fishing by there selves and they are hoping to catch a good sized fish. Then it turns out they see something that isn't suppose to be in fresh water and its suppose to be in salt water. What do you think it is?

What is down there? What lurks in the depths of Sardis Lake. A prehistoric beast known as megalodon. With their boat destroyed a peaceful day fishing has turned into a nightmare. Who is the lady with the submarine? Will Robbie and his friends Tara and Landon survive?

This story is about kids that move to Mississippi and meet a friend on the way. One day they go on a fishing trip and realize that there is a giant megaledon in the lake. The friends try to figure out how to get rid of it. This book is great for someone who loves adventure.
