“Being ignored and disrespected was somehow outweighed by fancy dinners, a big house, and money."

"Kat, you deserve to be loved more than that, better than that. You should be put on a fucking pedestal and worshipped. Not have your passions and yourself tossed aside and belittled.”

I absolutely loved this book, it was such a sweet fast read. I’m looking forward to Nics book!

4.5 ⭐️ thank you so much Pru for this ARC!

Started out OK, but then got weird and awkward when you find out the MC's are 22 and 23.

"It doesn't take much to steal my hearts. Give me a cozy blanket, a book, or delicious pastries? I'm already in love."

This book was absolutely amazing! I devoured it so quickly, and I found myself instantly falling in love with the characters.

I loved watching the development of Katy and Noelle's relationship. I found myself so giddy while reading this one and rooting them on from the beginning.

I really enjoyed how it also wasn't a bash fest on Katy's husband. Fake dating usually involves a lot of immaturity, but I found that non-existent in this one!

"She doesn't just find the light in everything; she is the light."

You get:
• Fake dating
• Love at first sight
• FF
• Billionaire
• Femme
• Found family
• Who did this to you?
• Short read

Before the holiday season is done ... you need to jump on this read. You won't regret it!

Thank you so much to Pru for sending me an advanced copy! This book was so fun to read. It is a joyful, feel-good story, and I binged it in a day. I have been in a reading slump lately, not able to enjoy the books that I am reading. But as soon as I started Stealing Mrs. Claus I was hooked, and my slump disappeared while I was reading. If you are looking for an adorable and fun Christmas romance (with some spice ;)), this book is for you!
The main characters, Kat and Noelle, stole my heart. Kat's complex relationship with Nic and her struggles to find satisfaction in her life felt genuine and relatable. And Noelle's relationship with her family was so heartwarming, I love supportive family dynamics 😍
Kat and Noelle's romance was adorable and sweet and I rooted for it so hard because the characters had so much *chemistry*. Something that Pru does incredibly well throughout all her books is develop her characters quickly but believably. Everyone in this book felt real, complex and relatable. I was drawn into the story immediately, immersed in the magical Christmas romance. Overall I definitely recommend this book as a heartwarming love story that will steal your heart.

SUPER cute. And fun if you want a cute, hallmark-y Christmas read.

I think Noelle and Kat are adorable and perfect for each other and I really enjoyed reading about them together. However, there is really no plot in this book and it's so short that any attempts at plot are sort of expedited.

BUT. who reads a christmas book for plot anyway? It's all about cuteness and holiday spirit. Which this book had a TON of.

You guys omg this book this fucking book is absolutely perfect let’s also acknowledge the fact that there was no third act break up thank fuck. The way that she helped kat grow and become her own person omg that’s absolutely everything you could want in a partner and more. From beginning to end I loved these two and I can’t wait to read abt Nic.
Also let’s ignore the fact that i read this in July

i've never actually written a review for a book here before so here's just some random bullet points of my thoughts

• i was a bit disappointed honestly, i liked the concept, but it wasn't really executed in a way that i liked
• santa claus is a concept that exists, but then there's a nic claus that runs a toy company? like they aren't actually santa claus and mrs. claus so the concept felt a bit misleading to me
• before reading, i assumed the characters would be in their like early to mid 30s, and it wasn't bad that they were in their early 20s, but it just make me question a lot of things abt their lives
• who is running their own private practice as a lawyer at 23?? even with her family's money and reputation, that still seems a bit ridiculous
• did BMW sponsor this book??
• this is no fault of the book and just my own personal tastes, but the sex scenes just made uncomfortable and they just happened so randomly and honestly i just skipped over them
• also, getting sexy in the car while your whole family is also in the car?? that's just gross
• i swear the dates in the book were off, like in the beginning it was dec 15th and then it changed povs and and said it was still the 15th, but it was definitely the next day and that just messed me up for the rest of the book
• i was happy in the beginning, but i don't think i was happy again from the like 2nd or 3rd day they were at the house, until it was the end and ben and abby announced they were having a baby

honestly, i wouldn't have finished this book had it not been the first full book in literal years that i had made it passed the first 30 pages of a book, i was just determined to finally finish a book to feel accomplished to motivate me to read more books

Pru Schuyler is a new to me author and her book Stealing Mrs. Claus didn’t disappoint. It was a cute and sexy romantic take on Saint Nick and Mrs. Claus. The focus is Mrs. Claus, who’s first name in the story is Kat and her husband Nic. But Nic isn’t a saint, he is demanding and down talks his wife about her painting career. Kat spent her youth in and out of the foster care system until she met Nic, when she was eighteen and he get her the life she always wanted (at least that’s what she thought). But then Kat meets her beautiful neighbor, Noelle. When Nic plans a trip to his parents house for Christmas without Kat’s knowledge, she was not happy. So she decides to stay, because she has to work anyway. During one of her painting classes, Noelle showed up with an offer that Kat couldn’t refuse. The offer to come to parent’s house for Christmas and pretend to be her fake girlfriend. Because Noelle and her real girlfriend Katy broke up before she could tell her parents. What ensues afterward is a very touching and heartwarming story about finding yourself, finding family, and finding a love that sees, hears, and validates you and your experiences. I highly recommend this cute Christmas story to give you the warm and fuzzies as well as some spicy over the holiday season.

Thank you so, so much to Pru for sending this eARC for me to review & all the ones before that as well! I truly appreciate you!

Did I just fall in love with this book after two chapters? Uh yeah I did. Just the writing is so dang good in how things flow from one thing to another that the books Pru writes are effortless and so crisp. That may not make sense but you know you have those authors for yourself that you just mesh with while reading.

What to say about Kat & Noelle. They’re so stinking cute together. The way Nic treats Kat at the beginning made me want to punch him. But by the end of the book he seems like he really is a nice guy… just a little lost. I was glad to see Kat stand up for herself and put her priorities first. Noelle was so cute in how she instantly fell in love with Kat & was just a bit scared of her feelings not being returned. I loved that she took a risk in showing Kat how she felt.

This was just the cutest holiday romance with the right amount of spice. I loved that it was dual POV & featuring a f/f relationship. I loved the author’s note on how this idea came to be. I’m always curious how authors come up with their ideas. This is exactly the book you need to read during the holiday season!

This was my first book by Pro Schuyler after I saw a friend recommend her books on bookstagram.
I totally enjoyed the cool spin on the Clauses that she took with this story. While she didn't put Nic in the best light, it was fun to watch Mrs Claus, aka Kat, grow into the woman she was meant to be. For her to enjoy herself and open herself to the happiness she deserved.

After Kat has lived a life by the side of her husband, Nic Claus just being his arm candy, she has had enough. She ends up staying home while he goes to visit his parents for the holidays. But Kat will not be alone. Her neighbor Noelle has a proposition for her. To come hone with her for the holidays and pretend to be her girlfriend. What follows is fun with the family during the holidays and Kat seeing what a real family and real love is all about.

I enjoyed this short, sweet, and sexy, spicy read all set during the holidays with two women. Their connection was evident from beginning to end and I loved how the family played an integral part to the couple's happiness. Nic even looked a little better toward the end and I wish him all the happiness. But Noelle and Kat? These two were meant for each other. I adore them.

My first christmas book this year and I can't tell you how much I loved it!!
And the trope? Fake dating? Chef kisses!!

Kat has learned all her life to appreciate the little things in life. Since she was a child of forstercare and many family changes, she never really felt at home. Her only passion in life has always been painting, with painting she can forget her thoughts and real life.

Noelle is a lawyer, proud dog mama of her dog named Muffin and Kat's neighbor. From the start she was drawn to Kat's charisma and presence.
What happens, if Christmas is coming up soon and Noelle's parents are expecting her girlfriend Katy, with whom she is no longer together.
What do you think will happen if Noelle doesn't want to disappoint her parents and then has the idea that the name Kat and Katy aren't actually very different?

The connection between the two characters was steamy and lovely at once. Kat deserves the world and the way Noelle raised her standards made me so happy.
Both characters have my heart!!

First, thanks Pru Schuyler for sending me this ARC. It was not my first book of her, and she didn't deceive me.

It was my first ever christmas book, and I don't regret it. The book himself was pretty good, the romance between Noelle & Kate did not disappoint.

I have mixed feelings about Nic. I don't really like the way he behaves but Kate speak so highly of him that I don't know if he's really a bad person or not. Everything was cute, and Noelle is such a good girl she was truly herself and not a caricature of a queer woman, thanks for that.

In conclusion I can say that Stealing Mrs.Claus deal with a woman who try to find herself, and not be someone else, and maybe a fake relationship with her neighbour during christmas' holiday will be the solution.

See you next year for Becoming Mrs.Class.

I was glad to find Pru on Instagram and being given the opportunity to read this book. I have never read an LGBTQ same sex couple book before and this was a great first. I enjoyed the spontaneous character of Kat and her willingness to drop everything for her neighbour Noelle. The book had great spice to it with its steamy romance if you know what I mean. I just wish Nic wasn’t such a nice guy at the end. The only reason I wish there was a bit more drama between Nic and Kat at the end to spice up the book at little bit more. Nic was just a bit too flat for me at the end as he was so different at the beginning. For this as it was just preference I gave it 4 stars. I cannot wait to read part two when it comes out next year.

Thank you to Pru for my first ever book arc, but also for creating an AMAZING book overall. This was my first time reading any of her books and I’m beyond impressed. I’m generally the worst when it comes to romance novels but this was truthfully TOO good. I have finally been swayed! I adored the main characters and the cute, fluffy, Christmasy plot. There was also the perfect amount of spice for me. I can’t wait to order my official copy, but also read the companion novel coming out next year.

DNF @ 36%

I hate to not finish a book. But for a rather short book, I didn't like how long it was taking me to get through it :/ Plus I was reading it on KU, so it didn't feel like much of a sacrifice to stop.

I really struggled to connect with the characters, and at 36%, I still felt bored. I do see the potential for it to be a cute read! I just really struggled to find enjoyment and the motivation to read it.

3.5 rounded up.

It’s not that it was bad. But it wasn’t anything fantastic. I found this book to be very repetitive and kind of childish. If she wasn’t happy she should have told him the truth instead of cheating. Technically all that happened between the girls happened while she was still married to her husband. Not a fan of cheating tropes. But like I said it wasn’t terrible.

A neighbor asks her married neighbor to fake date (propositioning her when she knows the husband is gone) and then to accompany her home for the holidays… but then cheating is forgiven because they fell in love?? And the neighbor’s family is all “that’s so sweet your husband granted you a divorce on Christmas. Welcome to the family.” Like, what?? Nope.

“Everyone else was always meant for someone else. But I think Noelle might be meant for me.”

✔️holiday novella
✔️sapphic romance
✔️fake dating
✔️billionaire
✔️instalove
✔️no 3rd act breakup

While there are definitely things that I didn’t love about this novella, overall it’s a middle of the road holiday story and I enjoyed it for the most part. The main characters, Kat and Noelle, are cute together but there were some details that didn’t quite make sense (that pulled me out of the story) and if you are sensitive to cheating (with, not on), this might not be the book for you because the line gets a little blurry. I should have figured given the synopsis, but it didn’t cross my mind until I was already invested in the story.

I love a good fake dating situation, and this one was set up well. I like the family traditions that they participate in while visiting Noelle’s family. and that Kat finds her voice and stands up for herself with her husband and finally leaves the relationship (though it happens a little late in the story IMO). Speaking of her husband, I am looking forward to reading his book because I feel like there is a lot more to the story than what we get from Kat’s perspective and I am interested to see what the author decides to do with his character. The ex’s name kept changing (the woman Kat is filling in for) and the fact that they are in their early twenties is so unrealistic it’s not even funny. Even if they were late twenties it would make so much more sense (honestly I just aged them up a little in my mind as I was reading).

Though this isn’t my favorite holiday novella ever it certainly isn’t the worst I’ve read and I am looking forward to book two.

A sapphic Christmas romance? Sign me up!!

That alone was enough to get me to bite, but when I saw this was also Mrs. Claus' story I was even more excited! We all know Santa. But who is Mrs. Claus? Turns out her name is Kat. And Kat and Nick are in a very loveless marriage of convenience. And once she meets her beautiful neighbor Noelle, she starts to realize there's so much more out there for her. While Nick goes home to his parents house in North Pole, Alaska, Kat goes home with Noelle and pretends to be her girlfriend. Of course their fake relationship turns real very quickly.

So yes, it's trope-y. Fake dating. Holiday rom-com. But oh my goodness aren't all the good holiday romances?! We watch Hallmark movies because we're guaranteed a HEA. And what more could you want this time of year? Only this was so much more! Kat has a heartbreaking back story that really makes you root for her to finally get her true love! And Noelle is absolutely perfect for her! I loved every part of this book! The only thing I couldn't wrap my head around was their ages. They just seemed so much more mature than 22 and 23! In my head Kat and Noelle are 32 and 33. Lol Otherwise, this is an absolutely lovely Christmas novella I highly recommend! Also. Can we please get more queer holiday romances please?!?

Kat is in an unhappy marriage to her husband, Nic Claus. She is his trophy wife, and she doesn't have an identity outside of being Mrs. Claus. After his work holiday party, she decides that enough is enough and it's time for a divorce. He leaves her alone so he can go spend the holidays with his family.

Kat meets her neighbor, Noelle, who is a sexy lawyer. Noelle is attracted to Kat right away, but she decides to take it slow and stay friends. Noelle asks Kat to come home with her for the holidays and pretend to be her girlfriend.

Kat and Noelle's friendship turns into feelings, but it wasn't like an instalove situation, which I really liked.

They shared a bed together, and they had holiday fun, like building a snow woman, cuddling up and watching movies, and having a snowball fight.

This is also really steamy and so much fun!

Yes ma’am.

This was a fun, quick, holiday romance with some deeper themes. I definitely recommend if you’re interested. I will say I did age the characters up a bit in my mind. Slightly because it felt more in line with where they are in life, and largely because I’m in my 30s. I’m at the point in my life where it feels kinda icky to read sex scenes between two people that are barely able to legally drink in the US. On whole a good time, even in February.

Spoiler-ish?

This is the second romance book I’ve read this year where the third act conflict isn’t a breakup and I love it. I hope to see more like this in the future.
